Jian Ghomeshi, a normally respected and objective interviewer dropped all objectivity when he interviewed Alex Jones, then author David Aaronovich (promoting his latest book about conspiracy theories. Here is the link to his show called simply "Q."

There's a story unfolding in Canada that could undermine the official propaganda around the war in Afghanistan.
Here are a few quotes from the report on the CBC website.

During his testimony, Colvin said Canada did not monitor detainee conditions; took days, weeks or months to notify the Red Cross; kept poor records; and to prevent scrutiny, the Canadian Forces leadership concealed this behind "walls of secrecy."
"According to our information, the likelihood is that all the Afghans we handed over were tortured," Colvin said. "For interrogators in Kandahar, it was a standard operating procedure."
Colvin worked in Kandahar for the Department of Foreign Affairs in 2006 before moving to Kabul, where he was second-in-command at the Canadian Embassy. He said his reports were ignored and he was eventually told to stop putting the reports in writing.

CBC TV’s “Fifth Estate” Program Airs AE911Truth Nov 27

On September 11 of this year, we were interviewed on September 11 in New York at the We Demand Transparency conference by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's "Fifth Estate" program. This is the equivalent of "60 Minutes" in Canada. It is set to air on November 27.

The producers of the National Geographic Channel assured us that they would air the evidence we highlighted for them on their show 9/11: Science and Conspiracy. They even showed us these segments in their "rough cut," which we were quite satisfied with. However, the final show aired none of our evidence, and they claimed that we had none. We were determined not to let this happen a second time with the CBC.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Al-Qaeda remains "very capable" of attacking the United States, the top US military officer said Sunday as he tried to boost waning US support for the conflict in Afghanistan.

Nearly eight years after the September 11, 2001 attacks that killed some 3,000 people, Al-Qaeda is "still very capable, very focused on it," chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen said on NBC's Meet the Press.

"They also are able to both train and support and finance, and so that capability is still significant," he said.

Mullen added that the US military is "very focused on making sure that it doesn't happen again," referring to the potential for another such attack on US soil.

Meanwhile, Al-Qaeda is gaining from the support of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan and Pakistan, making the US fight against extremism in Afghanistan all the more urgent, Mullen said.

Bin Laden warns Obama of new fronts in global jihad.

DUBAI (AFP) - Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden warned US president-elect Barack Obama of new fronts in his holy war against Western interests in a new voice recording posted on Wednesday less than a week before the new administration takes office.
Bin Laden called on Muslims across the world to take revenge against Israel for its deadly offensive against Gaza, charging that the onslaught had been timed to take advantage of the dying days of the presidency of George W. Bush.

This could be a first step toward real justice.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President-elect Barack Obama said Sunday he was not ruling out possible prosecution for abuses committed under the George Bush administration, saying no one "is above the law".

"We're still evaluating how we're going to approach the whole issue of interrogations, detentions, and so forth," Obama said in an interview aired Sunday on ABC's This Week program when asked about alleged abuses under Bush.

"Obviously we're going to be looking at past practices and I don't believe that anybody is above the law," Obama said.

But Obama, who takes office on January 20, added that he wanted his administration to focus on tackling problems moving forward, rather than reviewing policies under his predecessor.

"My instinct is for us to focus on how do we make sure that moving forward we are doing the right thing," he said.

What to make of this?? Apparently the family members who are seeking Truth and Justice were not invited.

His comments were heard in person by some of the families of the victims of 9/11 - who for the first time had a chance to see the alleged plotters in the flesh.

It was an extraordinary day in court for many reasons:

This could be evidence of an inside job or, as stated, an officer on an undercover mission. Either way, it casts suspicion on the whole story. This sort of information could disappear like similar info about 9/11 did, since we are supposed to be seeing the Pakistanis as the bad guys.

But what was touted as a rare success for India's beleaguered law enforcement agencies quickly turned sour as police in two Indian regions squared off against one another.

Senior police officers in Indian Kashmir -- at the heart of tensions between India and Pakistan -- demanded the release of Mukhtar Ahmed, saying he was one of their own and had been involved in infiltrating Kashmiri militant groups.

OK First of all I have a confession to make. About 3 years ago I subscribed to the Foreign Policy magazine because I wanted to see the world from "their" point of view after seeing a lot of criticism of the CFR in the Truth Movement. I like to maintain my objectivity and be able to see both sides of an issue. I stopped receiving hard copies a long time ago but am still on their email list.

Capitol Hill is buzzing today with major developments regarding our campaign for impeachment hearings for President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Just today, in what could be described as a perfect impeachment storm:

• Karl Rove once again thumbed his nose at Congress and the American people by brazenly ignoring a lawful congressional subpoena to testify before the House of Representatives;

• Judiciary Chairman John Conyers indicated his willingness to use the power of inherent contempt against Rove if necessary;

• Rep. Dennis Kucinich introduced another article of impeachment on Bush's lies regarding the Iraq war; and

• Speaker Nancy Pelosi was quoted today saying that the House Judiciary Committee should address the issues that Kucinich raises in the House Judiciary Committee.

After years of work by so many of you, the time appears ripe to finally hold Bush and Cheney accountable.

It's like we're living inside a really badly written spy novel and the scariest part about it is that, not only the participants but the readers all believe it's reality.
Is there anything suspicious about the fact this guy was working for the Foreign Affairs Ministry? Is there not some sort of terrorist background screening going on here?
And what about the security levels at unprecedented levels?
This is badly written as the pathetic "Toronto 19" trial.

It looks as if the case against Toronto's homegrown terrorists is unraveling. This story has been posted here before and the consensus has been that it was a manufactured event and the suspects were framed by the CSIS (Canada's CIA) and the RCMP based on the testimony of two well paid informants.

Judging by the comments, a lot of people are skeptical about the evidence and the case in general.
So far 7 have been released due to lack of evidence (unless paint ball games are evidence.)

It seems strange and suspicious that Bin Laden would resurface to bing up the Danish cartoon issue of 2005 so long after the whole thing has been forgotten by the rest of the world.
"Bin Laden's message was entitled "The Response Will Be What You See, Not What You Hear," according to the password-protected Ekhlaas Web, which carries messages and statements from al Qaeda-affiliated groups around the world."
I know I'm just a paranoid conspiracy theorist but even to my fevered mentally unstable mind, this story seems concocted (and badly at that.)

For anyone with Dishnet Satellite Television, Free Speech TV (9415) is airing "Press For Truth" as well as "Winter Soldier" and other informative documentaries on a regular basis. This is not exactly mainstream network TV but is a pleasant surprise.

In the near future Canadians will be asked to choose a new government based on Canada's support of the Afghanistan mission. The Conservatives want to extend the open ended mission till 2011 and beyond. The Liberals want to change it to a peace keeping mission after one year and the Bloc Quebecois and the New Democrats want out completely.
You may have noticed that none of the above parties are questioning the validity or the justification of the mission. We all know it was undertaken as a result of 9/11 and we all know the official story of 9/11 has been proven a mass of lies and disinformation.
I realize that south of the 49th parallel, this is not news but I would like to urge concerned citizens in Canada as well as our friends around the world to use this opportunity to ask questions and demand answers of our elected representatives as well as journalists.
Here are a few I have come up with;
Why should young Canadian men and women fight and die on foreign soil for the cause of expanding the American empire?
Why should Canadian taxpayers bear the cost of advancing the American empire, while wealthy International Corporations enjoy the return on our investment?
