If US government says an American citizen is a "terrorist," the Constitution is gone, torture is on

hyperlinks and videos live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2010m1d2...

An American citizen with a bachelor’s degree from 2003 earned from Brooklyn College in Political Science protested as a student against US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He appropriately earned his master’s degree in International Relations in a different country, at a London university, and continued lawful political protest against unlawful US and British wars.

In 2006 this American was arrested as a “terrorist.” The evidence: a defendant under a plea-bargain deal to reduce his sentence testified that the American loaned his cell phone as needed when the defendant stayed at his apartment while travelling through London. Among the defendant’s calls is at least one to alleged members of al-Qaida in Pakistan to arrange delivery of a few raincoats, ponchos, and socks in the defendant’s luggage.

That’s the evidence of criminal activity: lending his cell phone.

Iran again offers to halt uranium enrichment for fuel swap; why won’t US and Obama declare peace?

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2010m1d2...

Will Nobel Peace Prize winner President Obama declare peace with Iran upon their second acceptance of a nuclear fuel exchange program? Will the US corporate media headline this resolution? Will “leadership” of both US political parties announce peaceful victory?

The answer to all three is no. What will happen over the next few days and weeks is government pronouncement that this offer is unacceptable; that Iran must surrender nuclear material in exchange for a promise to receive fuel a year or so in the future from France, in direct violation of Iran’s right to an international-inspected nuclear energy program. What corporate media will not mention is France already owes Iran 50 tons of nuclear fuel, and has for 30 years. Iran’s offer to exchange unprocessed nuclear material for processed fuel they are already owed by France is more than fair. So far, an anonymous US official has rejected Iran’s offer.

US lies about Flight 253 "crotch bomber" patsy: summary of the evidence; Yemen attack implication

hyperlinks and videos live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2010m1d2...

The US government who lied for wars in other resource-rich countries are lying about what happened on Delta Flight 253 with an alleged underwear/crotch bomber. Below is a summary of facts reported at this time, along with a 4-minute news interview from Webster Tarpley, followed by an extensive interview of Mr. Tarpley by Alex Jones.

The longer explanations of the following bullet points are in the reporting from Veterans Today editor Gordon Duff, US Intelligence Examiner Fred Burk, Prison Planet, 9-11 was an Inside Job, American Everyman Scott Creighton, and Citizens for Legitimate Government Lori Price.

Before the flight to the US:
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab traveled to Yemen to meet with “terrorists.” However, his mother also lives in Yemen, which could also explain the visit.

Goldman Sachs: Record of $23 billion in bonuses for 2009; explaining their economic parasitism

hyperplinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2010m1d1...

Goldman Sachs is among the most visible financial parasites. Their executives have a revolving door through the US Treasury Department. They profit through “trading,” much like Enron did; including selling investments represented as AAA while simultaneously betting the value of those investments tank. Their CEO says they’re “doing God’s work,” as Enron’s CEO said, “We are on the side of angels.” A US Senate report puts the parasitic cost to Americans at $2 to $4 trillion every year. To put that figure into perspective, that’s an almost unbelievable $20,000 to $40,000 added cost per US household every year. Goldman Sachs is so happy with their “trading,” they’ll pay out a record of $23 billion in bonuses to their top employees for their 2009 work.

There are professionals in economics and finance using the term “parasitism” in its literal sense to describe our US economy.

HR 4173: Congress promises banksters $4 trillion without hearings next time they cry, "Bailout!"

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2010m1d1...

Prominent financial futurist Gerald Celente calls what the oligarchic collusion of government and banksters are doing to the American public as economic rape. Bailout overseer and Harvard law professor Elizabeth Warren calls it reckless gambling. After the year of the world’s largest transfer of wealth from US taxpayers to banksters, Congress is telling the US taxpayers, “TARP off,” by guaranteeing the banksters another $4 TRILLION next time they claim they’re holding the US economy hostage. The bill also limits debate to 10 hours, which could be eagerly construed to mean no hearings.

$4 trillion is ~$40,000 per average US household. The last so-called bailout also didn’t have any hearings; that is, expert testimony of how the public interest could best be served through public policy. Are we being financially raped? Are we feeding gambling addicts in a tragic-comic Ponzi scheme? And most importantly, is there an answer that ends the crisis and moves America forward?

What is the alternative to our economic slavery? Powerful response in the film Zeitgeist Addendum

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Zeitgeist Addendum is the 2008 follow-up to the 2007 100 million Internet-viewed Zeitgeist. The film focuses on humanity’s fundamental problem of a viciously antagonistic relationship among ourselves and its reflection in economic structures. The solution presented is to understand three areas of money and economics, and one area of philosophical creative potential:

1.The mechanics of our fractional reserve monetary system that only and always creates debt that is impossible to ever repay.
2.Our corporatocracy governments that enslave nations under unpayable debt to control resources and profit.
3.The option of upgrading our economy from a scarcity and profit-based paradigm to a resource and technology-driven paradigm.
4.The philosophy of emergence and symbiosis to embrace humanity’s interconnectedness and constant evolution.

Let’s proceed with an examination of Zeitgeist Addendum’s analysis of humanity’s economic past, present, and future.

Marjorie Cohn: Obama's Af-Pak War is not just deadly and counterproductive: it's illegal

hyperlinks live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Attorney and law professor Marjorie Cohn is at the forefront of legal argument that current US wars are unlawful. Below is her latest article as another voice to mine explaining how these wars are not even close to the legal qualification of self-defense.

Exposing myth of Christmas an entry to broader truth? For the ready, sure. If not, another reason to call us crazy

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

History is the academic field to answer with evidence who did what, when, where, and provide contextual facts to construct analyses for the subjective question of why. One paradox of Christmas and Christianity is despite American reliance on historical tools to understand every other aspect of life, most people who say their religion is important to them have never examined the vast professional historical work concerning Jesus. A second paradox is that although the history shows a different view of Jesus than people like to believe, none of the history may matter. A final paradox is how unknown the striking similarity of the story of Jesus to other ancient myths related to astronomy and the winter solstice is among Christians.

Obama bombs Yemen: no report of attempt for peaceful resolution; US needs Department of Peace

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Orwellian Peace-prize winner President Obama approved US cruise missile use in Yemen with no report he attempted peaceful resolution against alleged “terrorists.” The attacks killed 63, including 28 children. Below is a 2-minute news video.

Despite the obvious need, the US has no “Department of Peace.”

US policy does include obvious torture and Supreme Court refusal for prosecution against the US for torture. Despite the declassified evidence showing the US government lied to wage unlawful Wars of Aggression in Afghanistan and Iraq, American government-sponsored mass-murder continues.

Policy response: Gandhi and Martin Luther King advocated public understanding of the facts and non-cooperation with evil. I’m among hundreds who advocate:

Iraq Veterans Against War: the real enemy is US government for lying, waging unlawful war

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Please watch the following 4-minute video of Mike Prysner, a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War in his accurate and moving testimony that current US wars are unlawful, evil, and must be stopped if we value virtue over American fascism.

Policy response: Gandhi and Martin Luther King advocated public understanding of the facts and non-cooperation with evil. I’m among hundreds who advocate:
1.Understand the laws of war. These were legislated after WW2 and are crystal-clear that only self-defense, in a narrow legal meaning, can justify war. This investment of your time takes less than an hour and empowers you to legally stand for ending these Wars of Aggression.

Fascist US policy in Afghanistan: 50-to-1 ratio of money to kill versus money to help Afghans

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

The United Nations reports Afghanistan as the world’s most dangerous place for a child to be born. One out of four children die before their fifth birthday; 70% of the population do not have access to clean water.

Orwellian Peace Prize winner Obama’s response: spend at a 50-to-1 ratio to attack Afghans compared with money to help them.

On our planet, one million children in impoverished areas like Afghanistan die from preventable poverty every month. The economic investment to save their lives is 0.7% of the developed nations’ gross national income (GNI). In every historical case, ending poverty decreases population growth rate and eases environmental damage from economically desperate people. Although the US has continuously promised 0.7% of GNI to save children’s lives, our actual investment amount is less than one-fourth that amount.

Real liberals support progressive policies; fakes, fascists wage war, deny help for Americans

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Let’s define “political liberal,” view current US wars and economic policies through that lens, and determine appropriate policy response if progressivism is to be honored.

Progressivism defined: There is variance in understanding, but let’s work with these
Egalitarian economic policy meeting the minimal needs of education, health care, housing, food, and a sustainable environment.
Investment in research and openness to new ideas for social improvement.
Sufficient government programs to achieve the above goals while maximizing individual freedom.

Real conservatives honor US war laws; fakes and fascists lie to break them

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Let’s define “political conservative,” view current US wars through that lens, and determine appropriate war policy if conservatism is to be honored.

Conservatism defined: There is variance in understanding, but let’s work with these
Respecting law and order, the US Constitution, and inalienable rights for equal opportunity.
Self-reliance and personal responsibility.
Minimal government intervention for maximum freedom and minimal tax cost.

Law and order is the foundation of society; not much can be accomplished or enjoyed without it. Being American is a political distinction; it literally means citizenry under US and Constitutional law. Conservatives look to teamwork in complex projects and are adamant about personal responsibility for individual performance and cooperation within the law. Government provides law and order, but in a minimal way to maximize our freedom and personal income.

Washington's Blog: Copenhagen Climate Treaty scam: trillions in taxes with Enron-like trading rules

hyperlinks live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

My favorite economic analyst, Washington’s Blog, documents what’s developing in disclosure of the provisions within the Copenhagen Framework, including Enron-like skimming of non-wealth producing “trades.” I provide a summary that the global temperature data and revealed e-mails seem to fully falsify the premise for the global taxes.

I recommend Washington’s Blog as a daily visit. Here is his post, in full:

Copenhagen Framework Demands Huge Amounts of Spending, But Allows Enron-Style Accounting Tricks So That Carbon Isn't Actually Reduced

The UN and other agencies calling for a war on global warming say the price tag will be trillions.

But - according to top experts on climate and cap and trade - the regulatory framework being rammed through in America and internationally won't actually reduce carbon to any meaningful degree. See this, this, this and this.

How can the US be fascist if we have elections and the US Constitution? Ok, I'll explain…

hyperlinks and videos live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

US policy is fascist in unlawful Wars of Aggression, obvious torture, paper-thin propaganda to expand US war to Iran, blatant violation of international treaties with WMD, transfer of TRILLIONS of our tax dollars to financial elites, and corporate media prostitution service to propagandize the above facts to an awakening American public.

This assessment is objectively factual as political theory defines fascism. Res ipsa loquitur translates roughly into “the facts speak for themselves;” with the above list of documented facts as independently verifiable evidence proving beyond reasonable doubt American fascism in those defining areas of US government.

Let’s compare how a constitutional republic would respond in these crucial policies, then address the strongest arguments against the assertion of American fascism: popular elections and the presence of the US Constitution.

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich: explaining their war opposition in two brief videos

hyperlinks and videos live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

The “leadership” of the Democrats and Republicans collude for unlawful Wars of Aggression, torture, rhetoric for more unlawful war with Iran, the destruction of our treaty obligations, and the transfer of trillions of our tax dollars to banksters. By political definition in any textbook, the US is now fascist and not a constitutional republic.

Where is the opposition within these parties? On the Democratic side, Dennis Kucinich is most-often acknowledged as in opposition to his party's "leadership." Among Republicans, it’s Ron Paul. Thanks to the hundreds of writers who work for more than the propaganda of our corporate media, I came across this 3-minute video on the site What Really Happened of a speech Dr. Paul made in the House in February, 2009 that hits the main points of his political philosophy. For Dr. Paul's statement to the Foreign Affairs Committee on rapid and immediate withdraw of US troops from Afghanistan, click here.

Following is a 5-minute speech of Kucinich. Enjoy.

American fascism: Obama, "Justice" Dept., Supreme Court prevent prosecution of US torture

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Orwellian Peace Prize winner President Obama is instructing his Department of Justice (DOJ) to block prosecution of torture. The Supreme Court is upholding this "defense."

Impeachment is the constitutional recourse against President Obama and civil officers for their criminal complicity after the fact in torture. Covering-up a crime is a crime. The fact that Congress has not impeached to enforce US law, Constitutional law, and international law is gradually overcoming Americans' blindness to the obvious admission of fact that the US government is a de facto fascist state; a constitutional republic in empty rhetoric only.

Americans should be outraged that their government openly tortures, won't prosecute, and rules in court there is no legal recourse when they torture. I recommend this summary from one of my favorite political and economic analysts, Washington's Blog.

American fascism: by political definition the US is now fascist, not a constitutional republic

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Look in any textbook or encyclopedia and compare US policy (not rhetoric) to the definitions of fascism and constitutional republic. I’ll explain it here, but check my work. If at the end of your consideration, you agree that the United States of America is now a fascist state, please speak-up about it. Also, consider the policy requests at the end of the article.

Please read this article like a prima facie legal argument; that means unless you can refute the facts, they stand as our best understanding of the issue. Here, if you can’t refute the evidence that the US is now a fascist state, then accept this as your best understanding. As time passes, if evidence is brought forward to further the case for fascism or refute it, your comprehensive understanding improves. Here we go:

Definitions:

Obama lies: "America has never fought a war against a democracy." Iran 1953, Guatemala 1954, Vietnam

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

A lie of omission is a lie; it intentionally leaves out crucial information to create a false representation of reality. Obama lied in omission in his Orwellian Peace Prize acceptance speech by claiming, “America has never fought a war against a democracy.” Technically, a war is reciprocated armed conflict. However, the etymology of the word, “war” is “confusion,” which is part of the CIA role in wars against democracy in Iran in 1953, Guatemala in 1954, and Vietnam beginning with US support of French colonialism against Vietnamese independence and extending beyond US approval of election cancelation that began the Vietnam War.

I could go on with a history of US intervention in other countries’ governments, but that would be a book, not an article. Three examples that Obama lied is enough for clear and convincing evidence to consider my analysis and policy request that follow.

Iran 1953

Change blindness: research and history how Americans are as blind to US fascism as Nazi-era Germans

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Psychological research demonstrates that large-scale dramatic change can escape attention when the change is unsuspected, unannounced, and agents causing the change act as if nothing is different. Two areas of this cognitive study are “change blindness” and “inattentional blindness.” When we include consideration of “cognitive dissonance,” the rejection of facts when they conflict with important beliefs, we can approach an explanation of how educated citizens could accept fascism when it was unsuspected, unannounced, and the responsible agents fraudulently represented the new government as no different from the old. Cognitive dissonance would deter many people to accept the new reality, even when the facts were clear.

US expands unlawful drone war in Pakistan; violates letter, spirit of all US, UN war laws

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

The US is at unlawful war with Pakistan, having bombed over 50 sites and killing over 400. the Pakistan government rejects this violation of their nation, but just as the US has no respect for the laws limiting war to a narrow definition of self-defense in Afghanistan, Iraq, rhetoric for more war with Iran, and torture, they have no respect for peace in Pakistan.

Americans receive propaganda in support of US government murder and Crimes Against Peace, such as in this piece from the NY Times that say whatever BS seems most palatable without mentioning US and international law. Other propaganda encourage escalation of this unlawful war. President Obama’s escalation of the unlawful war in Afghanistan will concentrate troops on Pakistan’s border.

Official US policy: Nuke Iran because "nuclear program" might "wipe Israel off map"

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

The policy describing US military use of nuclear weapons is the 2005 Doctrine for Joint Nuclear Operations. Its preface states:

"The guidance in this publication is authoritative; as such, this doctrine will be followed except when, in the judgment of the commander, exceptional circumstances dictate otherwise. If conflicts arise between the contents of this publication and the contents of Service publications, this publication will take precedence unless the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, normally in coordination with the other members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has provided more current and specific guidance."

The chapter on Theater Nuclear Operations begins with a foreboding quote:

“Who suspected Pearl Harbor would occur? Who suspected that Hitler would really be as dreadful as he turned out to be? You know, the worst possible case is generally worse than the imagination can imagine.”

In “Preparation”:

Ending unlawful US wars in Afghanistan, Iraq: Gandhi + MLK + prosecution ends US fall into fascism

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

The emperor has no clothes. The US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are unlawful; obvious when anyone takes less than one hour to understand applicable law. Rhetoric for war with Iran is also “emperor has no clothes” obvious lies (here for audio interview). America has fallen into fascism; a collusion among corporate interests for war graft, banksters taking trillions from taxpayers supervised by political pimps, and psychopaths who love torture and the pain of war. Corporate media lies to us to keep these crimes hidden as best that propaganda can try to conceal the bright light of truth.

US war laws explained, why Afghanistan and Iraq wars are unlawful, how to end them

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~...

The laws of war are essential for citizens and legislators to master if humanity is to evolve beyond our violent history of war to enjoy civil communities. To bring these basic laws to life, we’ll touch on war’s history, explain the letter of US war laws, explain the philosophy/spirit of US war laws, and make the obvious conclusion once the laws are clearly understood that current US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are unlawful orders that our military must refuse and stop as demanded in their oath to the protect and defend the US Constitution.

Climategate: summary, comprehensive explanation of unethical science, and Jon Stewart's take

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m12d...

Sir Christopher Monckton of the Science and Public Policy Institute has written the most comprehensive understanding I’ve found of the “Climategate” scandal, Climategate: Caught green-handed. I wrote a condensed version, here. The even further condensed version:

Global temperature averages peaked in 1997, and have been on a slight overall decline through 2009. Among the six global warming gases, carbon dioxide (CO2) is the most important. CO2 readings have increased beyond 1997 through to the present. The global warming argument is that CO2 increases causes increased global temperatures. The scandal is that scientists at the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit (CRU), the main data point for the global warming argument, had thousands of internal e-mails leaked that revealed the following unethical and possibly criminal behavior:

Manipulating computer programming to “hide the decline” of global temperatures.

Afghanistan war surge: Non-defensive wars are unlawful orders US military must refuse and stop

"I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery.... Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty towards the majesty of heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings." - Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775. “Give me liberty or give me death” speech.

"Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate, systematical plan of reducing us to slavery." - Thomas Jefferson, August 1774. "Mainstream" media censors economic solutions, Federal Reserve controls economic journals

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m11d...

People with intellectual integrity and moral courage embrace the evidence of “mainstream” media lies of omission and commission regarding US wars and transfer of trillions of dollars to banksters. The evidence linked is objective, independently verifiable, and in broad daylight for anyone and everyone to see.

So-called “mainstream” media also censors consideration of the answer to our economic crisis: monetary reform. When the facts are clear that transferring the power to create money from banks to the public for the direct payment of taxes saves Americans over a trillion dollars every year, ends the national debt and ~$450 billion in annual interest payments, and that this idea was backed by many of America’s brightest historical minds, that this idea would solve our unemployment catastrophe (and here), and the idea has no mention from these five corporations, we can safely conclude deliberate censorship.

US Government sues banksters: Fraud on student loans. Vampire banks feed on near-children

hyperlinks and video live at source: http://www.examiner.com/x-18425-LA-County-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m11d...

Banksters took a hit through disclosure of court documents of US lawsuit for $280 million for fraud to college students through student loan disinformation. JP Morgan, Citigroup and Nelnet are the defendants in the lawsuit.

Banksters have sucked trillions through direct transfer of American taxpayer money to their pockets. This suit is heartening and I hope shows true law enforcement for the public good. However, the larger context is that our political “leaders” of both parties facilitate ongoing fraud as the banksters’ pimps while heartlessly ignoring Americans’ unemployment and poverty and reneging on their promise of funding the end of poverty with only 0.7% of GNI.

Congress and Mr. Obama stand aside and allow a million children to die every month from preventable poverty. As you should know, ending poverty in every historical case reduces population growth rates, decreases environmental pressure from desperate people, and reduces terrorism.

Washington's Blog: Instead of creating jobs for American, Obama spends in Afghanistan, Iraq

abundant hyperlinks live at source: http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-25059-Nonpartisan-Examiner~y2009m11d2...

Washington’s Blog is one of my favorite sources for revealing facts and analysis in economics and policy. The recent post, Instead of fixing the US Economy or creating jobs for AMERICANS, Obama will spend the money in Afghanistan and Iraq, is so comprehensively brilliant in putting together the documentation that our wars are fraudulent and damaging to our economy, I’m reprinting it for you.

Needless to say, I recommend following Washington’s Blog for such insightful writing! Without further ado:

America is in the most severe unemployment crisis since - and perhaps including - the Great Depression.

And yet Obama, like Bush, has done virtually nothing to create more jobs. Instead, they both gave trillions to the biggest banks (who are not loaning it out to the little guy) and for waging wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Obama is apparently escalating - not ending - the wars. And its not cheap.
