EMMITSBURG, MD - A sculpture built to honor the fallen firefighters from September 11th is now at the center of an alleged ponzi scheme.

At the feet of the firefighters lies some of the rubble from the attacks, serving as memories of heroism in the face of tragedy. One of the last things the memorial should represent is fraud.

The artist who constructed the bronze statue is Stan Watts. He says he got $300,000 from Coadum Advisors to fund the project, but had no idea how the money was being raised. The original plaque on the statue says it was funded by an anonymous donor.

Coadum Advisors is the company the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) says illegally used money from new investors to pay old investors. They then transferred more than $18 million dollars to offshore accounts.

"We are not involved, did not know about it until we were contacted by the attorney on the case," said Charles Jaster, the chief financial officer at the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

NEW YORK — Hall of Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax. Actor Kevin Bacon. World Trade Center developer Larry Silverstein.

All three are among thousands of names on a list of clients of disgraced financial wizard Bernard Madoff.

The list - 162 pages of 84 lines each, but with many omissions of personal names and duplications reflecting multiple accounts - has been made public in a filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan.

A testament to the sweeping nature of Madoff's alleged fraud, it includes his relatives, prominent business people, celebrities and charitable institutions.

The list does not specify how much money the customers may have lost, nor does it spell out their connection to Madoff. Some names appear merely to have been on his mailing list.

A few Canadians are on the list, including Judy Pencer, sister-in-law of the late Gerald Pencer, former CEO of soft-drink maker Cott Corp. She declined to comment.

In 2008, Architect, Richard Gage Published a Video DVD containing evidence and “proof beyond a reasonable doubt” that three WTC skyscrapers were deliberately destroyed with explosives.

On November 7, Gage’s evidence was submitted to the FBI along with a letter explaining that the conclusions and implications of Gage’s presentation could be of immediate concern to the national security of the United States.

December 22, 2008, a letter of reply was received from the FBI’s head of Counterterrorism – Michael J. Heimbach who assessed Richard Gage’s presentation as: “…backed by thorough research and analysis.

On Nov. 7th the FBI received a registered letter from Harold Saive - founder of Gators911Truth.org. Saive referenced evidence presented in Richard Gage's 2008 video release of "9/11: BLUEPRINT FOR TRUTH".

On Dec 22, 2008, Saive received a letter of response from Michael J. Heimbach thanking Saive for "offering to provide information to the United States Government".

In November, 2008, Gators911Truth sent a letter to FBI Director, Robert S. Mueller, III asking the DOJ to consider the forensic evidence of controlled demolition as presented by Architect, Richard Gage - founder of AE911Truth.org. The evidence is presented in Gage's 2008 DVD lecture titled: "911: BLUEPRINT FOR TRUTH. The Architecture of Destruction".

The letter was sent under the provisions of TITLE18 USC § 2382, Misprision of Treason and/or 18 USC § 4 , Misprision of Felony. We received a response today from the Asst. Dir. of Counterterrorism, Michael J. Heimbach.

Manhattan: New indictments in 2007 death of 2 firefighters.

NEW YORK - Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau announced Monday the results of the investigation into the August 18, 2007, fire at the Deutsche Bank building, located at 130 Liberty Street, in which Firefighters Robert Beddia and Joseph Graffagnino lost their lives.

Three individuals and one company have been indicted for manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and reckless endangerment in the deaths of the firefighters. Those indicted are Jeffrey Melofchik, the Site Safety Manager for the project’s construction manager, Bovis Lend Lease LMB, Inc.; Mitchel Alvo, the Director of Abatement, for Bovis’ subcontractor, The John Galt Corp., and Salvatore DePaola, foreman. GALT has also been indicted on the same charges.

In addition, the District Attorney’s Office has reached agreements with the City of New York and Bovis, which require the City and Bovis to institute major remedial safety measures.

The corner of U. Ave and 13th Street was buzzing. The entire stack of AE911Truth/Gators911Truth flyers was handed out. A 3rd year finance student eagerly hopped off his scooter to grab a flyer.

You will see a local resident give is assessment of 9/11 while hurrying along to catch a bus.

We ordered a 2nd megaphone to work traffic in opposite directions. John - a new Truther found a little Radio Shack megaphone that performed surprisingly well to get the message through those closed windows in noisy traffic. Delivery of Ed's 50 watt megaphone he bought on EBAY is expected by next week.

NEW YORK (Associated Press) - A judge says developer Larry Silverstein cannot recover more from the aviation industry than the $2.8 billion value of the World Trade Center if his lawsuits succeed.

Federal Judge Alvin Hellerstein made the determination in a ruling filed Thursday. The decision carried Wednesday's date.

Hellerstein rejected Silverstein's claims that his company would be entitled to as much as $16.2 billion from American Airlines, United Airlines and other aviation defendants.

A lawsuit on behalf of Silverstein's companies claimed that negligence by the airlines allowed the terrorists to hijack planes that struck the twin towers on Sept. 11, 2001.

The aviation defendants denied liability.

NEW YORK (AP) — Former New York Giants coach Jim Fassell announced Tuesday his plans to donate $250,000 to five organizations representing first responders and 9/11-related charities.

The Jim Fassel Foundation, set up in 2002 to support first responders and the families affected by the World Trade Center attacks, has raised more than $1.1 million in the seven years since September 11, 2001.

Fassel remembers exactly where he was when he first heard of the 9/11 attacks.

"I had the television on in my office when I first heard the news reports of a plane crashing into the World Trade Center," Fassel said. "A group of us ran up to the roof of Giants Stadium and could clearly see the smoke from the tower and ultimately the collapse of the first tower soon afterward."

"When I walked through the rubble of Ground Zero the following week and witnessed firsthand the full extent of the tragedy and the bravery and courage of so many people, I pledged that I'd never forget the events of that day, and I'd do what I could to help the people affected by it."

Report: Engineering society needs ethics policy

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A task force is calling on the American Society of Civil Engineers to come up with an ethics policy after critics raised questions about the group's probes of the World Trade Center collapse and the failure of New Orleans levees during Hurricane Katrina.

Critics say the probes, commissioned and funded by federal agencies, were more about covering up human and agency misdeeds than determining what went wrong with the failed structures.

Last month, the society's Task Force on Engineering Reviews said Reston, Va.-based ASCE should draw up an ethics policy to eliminate questions of possible conflicts of interest.

The panel started work after Raymond Seed, a levee expert with the University of California-Berkeley, sent a 42-page letter to ASCE in October 2007 accusing it of colluding with the Army Corps of Engineers to cover up engineering flaws found after Katrina struck in August 2005. Seed was on an independent levee investigation team funded by the National Science Foundation.

Three editors of a University of Florida College Newspaper joined together in an effective ban on printing anything having to do with the government coverup of the events of 9/11/2001.

In their September issue of THE FINE PRINT (TFP) the editors characterized their inspiration as coming from a core of dedicated “truth seekers” and affirmed their commitment to print “the Naked Truth”. But by October, they had retreated to a disturbing “mainstream” position that betrays their initial enthusiastic promise.
