Alex Jones visits with Jesse Ventura, who is working on a TruTV show dubbed ‘Conspiracy Theory’ and slated for a late fall release.

The former governor gives us a glimpse into his upcoming show, which will delve into and investigate various areas of ‘controversial history.’ Ventura won’t give away the episode topics, but does tell us that Alex will be part of the show, and that areas like 9/11 will be explored.

I'm posting this piece here for posterity and to keep note of some continuing reports that I have come across about the issue sharing of information between intelligence agencies or lack thereof. There's another similar report posted further down on my blog from CNN. This piece was originally entitled "What we learned from the 9/11 Report." It should be titled "What we HAVE NOT Learned from the 9/11 Report" if you are going to state in it that the problem still persists. Is this the report I'll be reading when the next 9/11 hits? After reading your article, it is painfully obvious to me what you haven't learned from the report. However, ignorance will not be bliss in this case.

Tawfiq bin Attash, currently being held at Guantanamo Bay, is one of the many detainees that president Obama was referring to in his "prolonged detention" speech that cannot be prosecuted via any legal manner such as a US court of law or military tribunal. Bin Attash is said to be the mastermind behind the USS Cole attack and assisted with the 9/11 plot. According to this blog posting, he is a key link to Osama bin Laden and the 9/11 attacks.

Although this was my first time learning of this particular blog, I came across the article via a reference at Glenn Greenwald's salon.com opinion on president Obama's speech. The blogger is described by Mr. Greenwald as an "ardent Obama supporter." Why this particular article was referenced I am not sure as its conclusion did not have anything to do with Glenn's article that referenced it. However, it is the writers conclusion why I felt it should be posted here. The article is well sourced so I feel confident in its accuracy. PITTSBURGH – The government will begin taking land from seven property owners so that the Flight 93 memorial can be built in time for the 10th anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks, the National Park Service said.

In a statement obtained by The Associated Press, the park service said it had teamed up with a group representing the victims' families to work with landowners since before 2005 to acquire the land.

"But with few exceptions, these negotiations have been unsuccessful," said the statement.

Landowners dispute that negotiations have taken place and say they are disappointed at the turn of events.

The seven property owners own about 500 acres still needed for what will ultimately be a $58 million, 2,200-acre permanent memorial and national park at the crash site near Shanksville, about 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

The IFC Channel (Independent Film Channel) has released a new documentary entitled New World Order. It debuted an April 16th and is being shown on IFC on Demand Channel. I don't receive IFC on Demand so I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I look forward to anyone here who does to post a review. I've seen the trailer and it featured Alex Jones and the 911 Truth Movement although these are not the only "conspiracies" it is supposed to cover. Here is the description as found on IFC's website:

It seems that the 9/11 commission's recommendation of an all encompassing, multi-billion dollar homeland security bureau turns out to be just as useless as their final report. According to this CNN News Video, Agencies still aren't communicating and sharing information as well as they should be as law requires.

Fear mongering seems to be the aim of this video news release stating we are still very much at risk and espousing the 9/11 Shura Council's predictions of the USA's downfall. The 9/11 Shura council is what the 5 Guantanamo detainees (which includes KSM) who have confessed to their roles in the 9/11 attacks are calling themselves. What those roles are I don't know, we're not given specifics. Read more about that in Joe's recent post below.

GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE, Cuba – Two alleged orchestrators of the 2001 attacks on America casually declared their guilt on Monday in a messy and perhaps final session of the Guantanamo war crimes court. This week's military hearings could be the last at Guantanamo — President-elect Barack Obama has said he would close the offshore prison and many expect him to suspend the military tribunals and order new trials in the U.S.

Ramzi Binalshibh and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the self-proclaimed architect of the terrorist attacks, were unapologetic about their roles during a series of outbursts as translators struggled to keep up and the judge repeatedly sought to regain control.

"We did what we did; we're proud of Sept. 11," announced Binalshibh, who has said he wants to plead guilty to charges that could put him to death. The judge must first determine if he is mentally competent to stand trial.

Mohammed shrugged off the potential death sentence for the murder of nearly 3,000 people in the Sept. 11 attacks.

I found this article by Paul Craig Roberts and thought I'd share it. It's not specifically about 9/11, but considering Mr Roberts is one of our most credible supporters, it seemed worthy of post. Peace all.

On the last day of the old year in CounterPunch, two Israelis, Jeff Halper who heads the Israeli peace movement ICAHD and Neve Gordon who is chairman of the department of politics and government at Ben-Gurion University, asked, "Where's the Academic Outrage Over the Bombing of a University in Gaza?"

"Not one of the nearly 450 presidents of American colleges and universities who prominently denounced an effort by British academics to boycott Israeli universities in September 2007 have raised their voice in opposition to Israel's bombardment of the Islamic University of Gaza earlier this week," report Halper and Gordon. They note that Columbia University president Lee C. Bollinger, who has in the past ignorantly insulted Islamic representatives, "has been silent."

Where was this committee when they were torturing prisoners at Abu Gharib... but it's about time somebody laid some some blame at Bush's feet.

WASHINGTON – The physical and mental abuse of detainees in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, was the direct result of Bush administration detention policies and should not be dismissed as the work of bad guards or interrogators, according to a bipartisan Senate report released Thursday.

The Senate Armed Services Committee report concludes that harsh interrogation techniques used by the CIA and the U.S. military were directly adapted from the training techniques used to prepare special forces personnel to resist interrogation by enemies that torture and abuse prisoners. The techniques included forced nudity, painful stress positions, sleep deprivation, and until 2003, waterboarding, a form of simulated drowning.

Found this posted on opednews, thought it might be interesting. It appears Attorney General Michael Mukasey has been subpoenaed by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Hard to say what will actually come of it, seeing the effectiveness of previous subpoenas such as to Karl Rove etc.. Of course, there's also executive privilege to get around. I see that in the first statement, it is requested that all documents be unredacted. The hearing is to take place November 18, 2008 at 10:00 am. Hopefully there will be some CSPAN coverage that can be posted. We'll see if there is any MSM coverage but I'm not holding my breath for any. Here is the list of documents being requested according to the subpoena:

1. To provide the Committee with all documents constituting the legal analysis and advice the
Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel ("OLC") provided to any agency, office, entity,
or officer of the Executive Branch from September 11,2001 to the present, concerning the
