While I don't agree with the "Incompetency Argument," this article is sympathetic to the truth movement and certainly raises valid questions regarding intelligence community links with Al Qaeda.
Before it becomes too late, and the case too cold, is it still possible to determine what happened on 9/11—and why? Did some version of the MIHOP or LIHOP conspiracy theories actually take place? - Rory O'Connor
What if I told you that a member of Osama bin Laden's inner circle operated with impunity within the United States for years before September 11? That despite being an ardent and avowed jihadi, he managed to become a naturalized citizen, to join the US Army, to get posted to the Special Warfare Center where Green Berets and Delta Force train, and to work with both the CIA and the FBI? And all the while he was a top al Qaeda operative, hosting its second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahiri when he traveled to the US in the 1990's to raise money, and training both bin Laden's personal bodyguard and radical Muslims who would go on to assassinate Jewish militant Meir Kahane and detonate a truck bomb at the World Trade Center? Would you take it as evidence that our so-called intelligence community was abjectly incompetent and dysfunctional in the months and years before 9/11? Or would you see it as further proof that the powers-that-be were the powers behind 9/11, either "making it happen on purpose", or alternately "letting it happen on purpose?"
"On Monday Marine Corps Times, Army Times, Navy Times, and Air Force Times are taking the extraordinary and courageous step of calling for Rumsfeld to go." -- Brent Budowsky/Smirking Chimp
Of course, Bush has made it clear that he will never entertain the idea of firing Rumsfeld, regardless of how many military critics pile on. And the list has gotten pretty damn long, here.
Why? What does Rumsfeld know? Is he the key to 911? Why else would Bush hold onto him for dear life in the face of such daunting criticism and abject failures in Iraq?
What are your thoughts?
911 Truth Gaining Visibility in Progressive Media: Gore Vidal Calls for New 911 Investigation in Alex Jones Interview
Gore Vidal: Who cares what the media says about anything. They are bought and paid for a thousand times over. They couldn't tell the truth if they could find it.
I realize there have been posts about Vidal's interview with Alex Jones, but I wanted to share this article regarding same which came out in RawStory/Jones Report today. The article contains both the transcript of the interview and a video of the interview itself.
Also, big plug (ad) for TerrorStorm at the bottom of the article!

This is just a little blurb about my personal experience in sharing 911 truth information with others. I just recently received a batch of 911 Press for Truth and 911 Mysteries DVD's from DHS which I will be showing at house parties and also giving away. Many thanks, DHS, for this invaluable service.
While awaiting my DVD's, I left a copy of Loose Change at my friend Zeke's house. Zeke is one of these people who is extremely hyper-sensitive about world events, so I really didn't think he would ever watch it, because he gets really, really upset about this kind of stuff and thus tries to insulate himself in order to function and maintain emotional stability. He told me when I left it that he didn't think he could handle watching it. However, he and his roommate have lots of friends coming in and out of their house and I just said something like, "Hey, you don't have to watch it. I'm just leaving it here for anyone who would like to see it." I also wrote my name and number on the DVD cover in case anyone had any questions.
So anyway, I'm walking with his roommate one night while a group of us were on the way to a concert, and his roommate says, "Hey, I watched your crazy conspiracy DVD. That was really interesting!" I let the "crazy" comment go since I feel my personal mission is to share the information, let people come to their own conclusions and if they have any questions, I am happy to share what I know. I just responded that I was glad he watched it and left it at that.
I kept trying to get on here yesterday to post this but the website had gone "ga ga" - thought everybody else was trying to do the same thing!
Keep hearing that the notion of government complicity in 9/11 is being blown off by some liberals with the
argument that the administration is just a bunch of "bungling" idiots. We know better and we must
be ready to come back at this argument with some good solid, "sound byte" evidence.
BushCo is NOT incompetent. They are highly competent at setting and executing a cold, clinical
corporate agenda. This agenda does NOT include protecting the average American citizen; see Katrina.
It does include making war on Iraq on the cheaps and for big, big profit for the few and powerful;
see inadequate body armor and see the movie "Iraq for Sale." This administration has turned the tragedy
of Iraq into a veritable gold mine for its contractor friends while assuaging the concerns of the Saudis and
Big Oil about real competition in the global oil market.
It's all about priorities, not competence.
As I said in an earlier post, we need to BASH this incompetence argument by pointing out how successful
they have been, up until very recently, in exploiting public goodwill for their own monetary gain and
for rabid, raw power.
DEAD Americans are "collateral damage" to these people.
Everybody here is so darned sharp that this has probably already been posted, but on the off chance it hasn't . . .
I realize the "content" is not new to anyone here, but I did find Alternet's choice of wording interesting.
Do I detect a note of acceptance?
Encouraged fellow demonstrators to check out "911pressfortruth.com" as I believe this is a good
beginner's video. Left them some information on that as well. Stiiilll waiting to hear from DHS regarding
DVD's. Helloo, DHS! Write me, please.
Last night, I showed 911 Mysteries to my friend who is a metallurgist. I could see he was very interested and
paused the film several times to bring up a point or ask a question. I cannot say he was immediately
converted but as this very nice and intelligent fellow likes to play devil's advocate, this came as no surprise
We had some spirited but respectful discussions. I continued to remind myself that, while I
had seen this and similar movies about the collapse of the WTC towers and WTC 7 sooo many times,
this was his first and it is a lot to absorb.
That said, I do feel that his interest was piqued and that he will continue to ponder the points
and questions raised in the movie, in his own time. I left 911 Mysteries with him at his request. He
plans to show it to his parents when he returns to visit his home state.
