This list is getting longer by the minute. At some point it becomes prudent to ask whether these left gatekeepers (Chomsky, Cockburn, Pitts, et al.) are being paid off in cash or scared off by anthrax? What else could possibly explain the lock step tone and tenor of this sudden deluge of "9/11 Truth Movement" hit pieces? In this latest installment, we are accused of ignoring "reality".

Eventhough Mr. Frank concedes that many unanswered questions remain, he somehow makes the leap that no possible answer "would ever indicate the US government was behind the (9/11) bloody affair". But he accuses "us" of being disconnected from "reality"?

Mr. Frank goes on to accuse the Truth Movement of "willfully ignoring that we’ve got real wars going on in the Middle East right now", never once making the connection that 9/11 was the "new Pearl Harbor" upon which these real wars were launched.

There is a saying that "ignorance is temporary, but stupid is forever". In Mr. Franks case, it's six in one hand, half dozen in the other, in as much as his column is among the most stupidly ignorant that I have read in a long time. Believe me... that's saying alot!

Unfortunately, with the increasing level of instability being displayed by Bush and his administration, we are all living in a new "reality" that is becoming increasingly dangerous to ignore.

National Columnist Leonard Pitts Joins the long list of government apologists and shameless shills with his latest column casting those who would have the temerity to question the "official record" as nothing more than "rote rejectionist" incapable (or perhaps unworthy) of "honest debate".

Just the facts . . . at least as we know them

I beg your pardon.

Apparently I made a major error of fact in a recent column. It turns out, contrary to what I wrote, there never was a Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the United States. It wasn't hijacked airliners that brought down the twin towers of the World Trade Center. Nor did any airplane plow into the Pentagon. Nor did United Flight 93 come to Earth in a field in Shanksville, Pa. Rather, this tragedy was staged by the U.S. government in order to dupe the nation into an oil war in the Middle East.

Or at least so I am told by a surprising plurality of readers. Add to that Hugo Chávez, president of Venezuela and renowned loose cannon, who said in a speech Tuesday it's possible the U.S. government had a hand in attacking itself on Sept. 11.

ZURICH - 2973 humans died with the notices of 9/11. “Bin Laden” and “aluminium Kaida”, the Bush clan cried. The world believed him. In the meantime even scientists doubt the Bush version. Also Swiss university University of Albert A. Stahel (63) and Daniele Ganser (34) place now hot questions.

“Something is correct not”, says strategy expert Stahel in the “world week” and refers to the “incomplete” official 9/11-Report of the US Government of 2004.

In relation to VIEW the university professor confirms the criticism:

Osama Ben Laden cannot be “the large godfather” behind the notices. It did not have enough means of communication.

Stahel doubts that a passenger airline cracked in the Pentagon: “For flight beginners it is actually impossible to meet the building so exactly.”

Seven hours after the twin Towers beside it the World trade center 7 collapsed. The official version: It burned for a long time. Stahel: “Nothing at all is clear.”

Theory that U.S. orchestrated Sept. 11 attacks 'not absurd': Venezuela

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - President Hugo Chavez said Tuesday that it's at least plausible that the U.S. government was involved in the Sept. 11 attacks.

Chavez did not specifically accuse the U.S. government of having a hand in the Sept. 11 attacks, but rather suggested that theories of U.S. involvement bear examination.

The Venezuelan leader, an outspoken critic of U.S. President George W. Bush, was reacting to a television report investigating a theory that the Twin Towers were brought down with explosives after hijacked airplanes crashed into them in 2001.

"The hypothesis is not absurd . . . that those towers could have been dynamited," Chavez said in a speech to supporters. "A building never collapses like that, unless it's with an implosion."

"The hypothesis that is gaining strength . . . is that it was the same U.S. imperial power that planned and carried out this terrible terrorist attack or act against its own people and against citizens of all over the world," Chavez said.

U.S.A. Flag Rules and Regulations
§8. Respect for flag

9/11 paranoia breeds nutball conspiracy tales

The Democratic nominee in Florida's 15th congressional district maintains a website outlining positions on abortion, border security, gay marriage and beach renourishment (''We must do it smarter'') that wouldn't strike anyone as political paranoia.

But Robert Bowman, who won Tuesday's primary with 54.5 percent of the vote, offers a treatise on 9/11 that could serve as a manifesto for conspiracy theorists. ''If they have nothing to hide, why are they hiding everything?'' the nominee asks.

Sept. 11 theorists generally tend to obsess with one explanation or another of those shattering events. Some proffer a theory that CIA agents had stoked the World Trade Center with explosives. (The airliners were just a ruse.) Others claim a cruise missile, not a commercial airliner, hit the Pentagon. Others claim Flight 93 was shot down over Pennsylvania by our own military jets.

HIJACKERS ALIVE?

Bowman embraces the whole mad smorgasbord. And he adds the notion some of the hijackers have been spotted since 9/11, ''alive and well.'' He dismisses al Qaeda attempts to take credit. 'Why does the `Osama bin Laden' in the 'confession' videotape have a nose about an inch shorter than the real Osama bin Laden?''

"We are, however, concerned about the increasingly speculative and accusatory nature of these statements by Dr. Jones."

Bush Plans Prime Time Sept. 11 Address

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush will make a prime-time address from the Oval Office on Monday to mark the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

White House press secretary Tony Snow said the administration had requested network time for the address at 9:01 p.m. EDT. The address is expected to run 16 to 18 minutes, he said.

The speech will come after Bush visits each of the attack sites, in New York, Shanksville, Pa., and the Pentagon, where terrorist hijackers used commercial airliners as weapons to kill nearly 3,000 people.

Snow said Bush's address would not be a political speech or a charge to Congress for action. Rather, he said, it would be reflective of what Sept. 11 has meant and "how we move ahead as a country in making use of the lessons of Sept. 11."

"It will have a note of optimism as well as sobriety about what we've been through," Snow said.

And I'm not letting up. Pick a so-called "PROGRESSIVE" media outlet, and let them have it! The left-wing gatekeepers in many ways are worst then the "NEOCON" outlets! At least with right-wingers, you know who you're dealing with. The pseudo-progressives are like wolves dressed as sheep. They are not to be trusted.

You know there are two ways to tell lies. There are lies of commission. Bush is good at this. You can tell when he's doing this rather easily... his lips are moving. There are also lies of OMISSION. Ironically, this is what the 9/11 Commission is guilty of. For example, there is no mention of WTC 7 in the official "9/11 Commission Report". This 47 story steel and concrete building collapsed into its own foot print at 5:20 on 9/11/01. This was a huge omission and it was done to keep people ignorant. This is the same form of lying that left-wing gatekeepers like BUZZFLASH are guilty of. I didn't bother to check, but I'm guessing there was no link to the huge article in the Washington Post this morning called "The Disbelievers". I was unable to read the entire article posted here so I have no idea if this is an example of sarcasm or what? The article starts off going after David Ray Griffin pretty hard. They actually attack him (and the entire Truth Movement) for (get this) actually having faith in the "efficiency" of the U.S. Military.

They also accuse the "conspiracy theorists" of (hold on to your seat) RACISM because we doubt the capabilities of 19 Arabs to defeat the multi-billion dollar U.S. military defense system, using little more than box cutters.

Are they serious or is this some sort of a joke? I'm sad to say, I honestly cannot tell anymore. You be the judge.

The Guardian takes a shot at 9/11 Truthers... but will it backfire?

I'll say one thing, it's an incredibly thorough piece of propaganda. It's clearly a hit piece, in as much as it lacks an objective tone, but otherwise this article provides quite a few details on the leading questions surrounding the events of 9/11.

They clearly attempt to brand so-called "conspiracy theorists" as bizarre and irrational. Primarily by calling us "conspiracy theorists". But when you look at the "theories" per se, it's not hard to see the logic in many of the conspiratorial views. Hopefully they will encourage more people to do their own research.

It's a fairly long article, but definitley well worth the read. Great exposure for the Movement.
