In my new nationally syndicated column out today, I explore the root cause of America's anger at our federal government and the growing embrace of conspiracy theories - trends displayed in recent Scripps Howard/Ohio University studies. It is not just a reaction to fear in the age of terrorism, but is a more fundamental crisis of confidence in our public institutions....

A few thoughts for all interested persons to consider:

A way to positively influence the thinking in the progressive movement (as well as the conservative, "libertarian," "anarchist," and whatever movements) its to become an active part of them. For instance: joining your local Democratic (or Green, or whatever) party, attend all meetings, etc. Hopefully a lot of 9/11 people are already doing this.

What Are The Advantages of Electoral Work by 9/11 Truth Actiivists?

For those who have not looked into it, here are a few of the advantages a 9/11 Truth activist has when running for public office. My experience was in city/county of San Francisco in the mid-1990s, but you should find it quite similar in your locality.

All candidates were invited to speak and answer questions at 8 or 10 public meetings, such as community centers, across the city, colleges, and high schools. Usually all are well attended and publicized, and at high schools the entire student body attendance was required. Some meetings were taped and played on community TV, radio, etc.

Efficient Way to Ask Library(s) to buy 9/11 Truth Books, DVDs, etc.

For those who don't know:

Your library probably has a similar way to suggest books for the library to buy. You can do this online at the computer at the library where you search for books. Or you can probably get to this same thing from your own computer. Below I have copy&pasted what the form and instructions look like at my library:

Use this form to request a specific book, CD, DVD, etc. that TRL does not own.
If you do not need a specific item but need information about a subject, please use the Ask A Librarian Email Reference form.
Request only ONE title per form.
To avoid delays, always check the Library catalog to see the Library alreadys own the item.

....A new book is providing a new perspective on the 9/11 terror attacks. John Cerqueira, the young man who just three months before the 9/11 attacks graduated from N.C. State....was working on the 81st floor of the north tower when the attacks happened. He scrambled down the stairs and heard voices in the darkness on the 68th floor. He discovered a woman in a wheelchair who needed help and proceeded to carry her down 68 floors to safety....

....why can't I go faster? This dust cloud is behind me and gaining like a monster in a bad dream. It's getting closer, I pump my arms, my ankle pops, I don't care, I'm running for my life. I'm losing, I'm not going to make it. Find cover. There is none. Just my luck here on the West Side Highway to be in the only place in this crowded bitch of a city with no cover when I'm running from this cloud of death....
