Kevin Ryan will be speaking on the Community Currency Radio Show this week about "Exploding the 9/11 Myth." As a whistleblower from Underwriters Laboratories (UL), he was fired for publicly questioning UL's role in testing for the failure of the steel in the WTC, due to "fire." Since then, he has done a tremendous amount of research, written and spoken out against what he considers to be fraudulent science that has been used to cover up the crimes and the identity of the real culprits behind 9/11.

The first Deception Dollars were printed in the autumn of 2002. They were a collaborative effort to overcome censorship of the basic facts about 9/11 that were so well concealed by the mainstream media, and to drive people to check out websites challenging the official story. Their popularity inspired many people to create better websites, as millions of Deception Dollars were passed out at anti-war rallies and marches in an attempt to prevent the unjustifiable, immoral, heartbreaking, war upon Iraq. Canadian artist Blaine Machan did the artwork, maintained the Deception Dollar website, and contributed greatly to the budding 9/11 Truth Movement.

[Below is the article that I posted at San Francisco's Indymedia website. Obviously the "We killed Osama Bin Laden" story provoked a huge emotional reaction. In the spring of 2004 between the SF International Citizens' Inquiry into 9/11 and the Toronto International Citizens' Inquiry into 9/11, we organized a press conference, and I remember being approached by Stanley Hilton who wanted to speak specifically about the death of Osama bin Laden, which was one aspect of 9/11 that I hadn't looked into and I was shocked at the "idea." I didn't allow him to speak, because I was afraid that his statement might discredit the stronger evidence that we were trying to present.

What does the latest official pronouncements about the foundational myth for the "War on Terrorism and the 9/11 Wars" reveal about credibility of the U.S. government? Let us remember Janette and think of her especially on her birthday, which is on Saturday, February 26th, by synchronicity a day in 2011 which might go down in history as “the day Americans woke up,” following the example of numerous other countries, rallies and demonstrations have been called for throughout the US to challenge the policies which enrich the few and impoverish the many. We will gather together the following day, on Sunday, February 27, 2011 to celebrate Janette’s life-- some of us in New York, and some in California--to share mementos, memories, food, drink, and stories about our dear friend, her life, her wake up call, which merits our attention, love, and appreciation.

For many years the focus of my activism was global economics, changing the monetary system in particular, not an easy issue, few people were interested. I realized that to change the monetary system required a change in the world's belief system, not an easy task. In the wake of 9/11, after recognizing that it had all the fingerprints of a black operation, I thought that if anything could change the belief system of the American public, it would be a revelation of the truth about 9/11. I had no idea how many obstacles would be placed in my path when I organized the first rally and march to demand an investigation of 9/11 back in January 2002. The Deception Dollars were born out of an attempt to overcome media censorship by just handing out flyers to people, in hopes that they would visit one of the few websites challenging the official narrative of 9/11.

The hysterical corporate media would lead people to believe that those seeking the truth about 9/11 are gun toting violent individuals and pose as great a danger to society as plane wielding terrorists, but David Chandler, a soft spoken Quaker pacifist and peace activist who has taught physics, mathematics, astronomy, and computer programming in public, private, international, and charter schools and community colleges, shatters that fabricated image and reveals the rational, peaceful, hopeful side of the 9/11 truth movement in an upcoming interview on Community Currency Radio Show.

Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance at San Francisco Civic Center "Free Gaza Rally" June 5, 2010

     Prior to the June 5th, 2010 "Free Gaza Rally" at the Civic Center, emergency rallies were held on almost a daily basis.  One of the members of the Free Gaza Movement Flotilla was Janet Kobren, a member of the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance, the Green Party, peace activist, retired teacher, friend. I posted an article - <a href="http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2010/06/04/18649896.php">Free Gaza! End State Sponsored Terrorism!</a> to draw more people to the rally and march.

Splitting the Sky

At the trial on Monday, the police officer who arrested Splitting the Sky (John Boncore) said that he was "protecting Spitting the Sky” from Bush's guards. He went on to say that Bush's protectors carry “lethal weapons” and that they would have used them to kill the accused man had the police not intercepted him. The questions raised by the police officer's testimony were not raised by the defense nor the prosecution. The presiding Judge Manfred Delong, denied the defenses plea too allow for a distinction between “Obstructing a Police Officer” and “Preventing a Police Officer from Performing his Duty.”

When I realized, belatedly, that Splitting the Sky's trial fell on Monday, March 8th 2010, which happened to be the same day that the new Deception Dollars were due to be printed, Calgary artist, Blaine Machan, and I decided to include that date on the Deception Dollar Issue #11, and the Trillion Dollar Issue #1, and add the words "Splitting the Sky Versus George W. Bush" and the "Calgary Principles" to the key words on the edges of the dollars. We also added a CP and the date 3082010 to the Perception Dollar. The bills were originally created to overcome media censorship, and media censorship, if not direct attacks are what truth movement is currently experiencing.

Janette MacKinlay, artist, author, activist, friend (See http://www.911blogger.com/node/22460), has been diagnosed, and will undergo extensive brain surgery on Friday, February 12, 2010. The surgery is scheduled to last four hours and Janette will have to be awake throughout the surgery, speaking, and being asked to move her limbs. Her ability to speak was impaired by the tumor and they anticipate that she will lose her ability to speak during the operation. The prognosis remains grim. She does appreciate all the thoughts, love, remedies, cures, directed her way. She is in the care of her two sons who are giving her devoted attention during this time of crisis.

Many people have sent me suggestions for cures, remedies, and I haven't passed them all on. I did give her a copy of the recipe for herbs that helped my fiance many years ago. I must respect and support Janette's choice of treatment, especially since she is in the care of her family and the decision is a very personal one which most powerfully affects her and the people caring for her. All we can do is offer her our love and support.

On January 26, 2010, Janette MacKinlay, a survivor of 9/11, underwent surgery, a biopsy, following the discovery of a brain tumor last week. I saw her in the hospital following the surgery, and she was her warm, gracious, lucid self, even sharing with me the latest examples of note cards she has had printed, featuring her beautiful ikebana art images. Last September, we had worked together on the 9/11 Film Festival, held at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland, California to draw attention to many 9/11 issues, including the plight of the those suffering from their exposure to the toxic dust, over 800 have died so far, that we know about. Janette believes that her tumor was probably caused by 9/11 and that she, along with many, many, others will be counted as victims of 9/11, as more and more “cancers and tumors” are found.

In classic irony, the pagans and the anarchists are the best organizers--you can count on being fed and everyone getting their basic needs met when you work with them. The last time I went to DC was with an “affinity group” comprised mainly of pagan activists to protest the IMF and the World Bank. After September 11th those protests were canceled, but many of us went anyway in September, 2001, to protest the impending war and to lobby against the PATRIOT Act.

Before 9/11, my main issue was global economics, particularly the monetary system, and moving us from a debt based war economy towards an honest, transparent, life serving economy. Money seemed to be a major blind spot in the culture. I promoted local currencies, simply to get people to think about money, how it was created, and how it works in our society and the world. I tried three times to start a "community currency" and failed. By some strange miracle, however, Blaine Machan and I teamed up to publish the Deception Dollars which were so popular that they funded the early 9/11 Truth Movement and became a genuine "community currency," at least they helped build and fund the first films, websites, events. People have a hard time resisting money.

Do we really know the full truth about what happened on 9/11, the devastating attacks that occurred eight years ago today? Based on my research and assessment of the inquiries that followed that horrific event, I don’t think anyone can claim to know the full truth. But that hasn’t stopped conservatives and know-it-all pundits from demonizing and belittling skeptics of the official 9/11 theory in an aggressive fashion in recent weeks.

The most disturbing example was the truly scary right-wing propagandist Glenn Beck’s successful crusade against Van Jones, forcing his resignation from the Obama Administration mostly for having signed a letter calling for an investigation of whether the Bush Administration ignored warnings about the attacks and then used them to further their foreign policy goals.
