Outside U.N., protesters urge Bush to end Iraq war

NEW YORK, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Thousands of protesters including former American soldiers rallied outside U.N. headquarters on Tuesday, urging the U.S. government to end the war in Iraq and bring home the troops.

Nearby, about 200 other protesters demonstrated against the presence of the Iranian president, others called for human rights in Myanmar, and just a handful demonstrated to press claims the United States orchestrated the Sept. 11 attacks.

While world leaders gathered at the U.N. General Assembly inside, about 2,000 anti-Iraq war protesters chanted "Peace can work, no more war" half an hour before U.S. President George W. Bush spoke.

"This war has drained the economy and has cost a lot of lives," said Claire Thompson, a nurse and union leader. "We're calling on our leaders to end this unsustainable war and just bring the troops back home."

There have been 2,681 U.S. military deaths since the Iraq war began in March 2003, according to Pentagon figures, and 147,000 U.S. troops are serving there. At least tens of thousands of Iraqis also have died in the war.

The government is getting desperate. Two major polls recently showed that a growing number of Americans doubt the official story around 9/11. On Aug. 28, the State Department responded with a direct assault against “misinformation,” by publishing a statement that attacked the fringes of the 9/11 Truth Movement. A major media brouhaha immediately followed. The New York Times published a sarcastic sniff at 9/11 activism, titled “U.S. Counters 9/11 Theories Of Conspiracy” on September 2. Time magazine ran a sympathetic but dismissive review of the popular 9/11 film “Loose Change.” ABC/Disney chimed in recently with a docu-drama based on the 9/11 Commission Report.

Ok, so the polls show that 43% have never heard of WTC7.
And, 42% doubt the official story.
How many of those 42% who doubt know about WTC7?
My guess would be , hm, lets say, 95%. (Are there official figures on that?)

Simple, i know. But simple things are important.

Get Ready for the Massive November Vote Fraud.

We instinctively know when we are being lied to. Just as various lie
detectors use changes in physiology to determine the truthfulness or otherwise
of the statements we make, we also have an inbuilt crude mechanism whereby we
sense that we are being lied to. The most acute form of this emotion or mental
state is displayed by parents or teachers, who instinctively know when the
children in their care lying to them.

Since becoming involved with (or at least aware of) the 9/11 truth movement, I have
had to re-educate myself and reacquaint myself with this innate lie detector. Which appears to have been
subtly switched off in me. It was possibly turned off by the corporate main stream media (MSM),
I remained unaware of all deceit when dealing with the affairs and actions of government as reported in the MSM.
It's also possible that this physiological lie detector had been overloaded with the lies of
politicians and petty bureaucracy to such an extent that it had 'blown a fuse' and simply turned itself off
in order to protect my very sanity. Regardless, it's been a rude
awakening personally, and a hard re-wiring and re-configuring of this primitive
defence mechanism had to occur.

*Note: I believe there were planes. I am asking for a civilized discussion on the evidence presented by tv-fakery. Thanks to anyone who actually read this before posting, and I thank people like peggy for bringing up civiilzed point of debate on the evidence.

After reading CB's blog and the comments in it, I wanted to discuss my views on the point of TV fakery proponents, and the effect that their arguments have on Truthers, and on Non-Truthers.

*Note: I have no objections to differring viewpoints. TV-Fakery advocates have as much a right to speak their thoughts, and discuss their ideas, as any other Truther does. The point of this blog is for a honest and intellectual debate on the ideas, and effects of these ideas. This is only a few opinions on a few pieces of evidence. PLEASE debate and show more evidence, this is something that needs to be figured out, and decided upon by the Truth community. I DO NOT think that TV-Fakery advocates are against the movement, or spies, or crap like that. They saw all the same inconsistancies that WE saw, and tried to piece together the puzzle, and ended up taking a DIFFERENT PATH than others did. They have the same questions we have, HOW AND WHY 911 HAPPENED, we need to help each other figure out the truth, not call names...

There is a powerful new documentary entitled "Ludicrous Diversion", which exposes the British governement's lies and cover-up regarding the 7-7 bombings. . It can be viewed here, and I highly recommend it.

The title is taken from a statement made by Tony Blair, in which he said that an inquiry into the 7-7 bombings would be a "ludicrous diversion".

Even though the documentay doesn't point out the similarities between 9-11 and 7-7, anyone knowledgeable of 9-11 who watches this film will immediately see the chilling correlations.
Here's a partial list, (feel free to provide more):

~ Police "exercises" at the exact same time of the incident.

~ Government stonewalling of an investigation.

~"Facts" within the "official version" are contradictory.

~ The official "investigation" is a whitewash.

~ No substantial proof of any of the supposed bombers.

~ Unreleased videos.

~ Fear continually fostered among the citizenry.

~ Previous freedoms wiped-out by new, draconian laws.

These startling similarities can be used as yet another talking point regarding 9-11 truth.

Sept. 12, 2006 -- According to sources who worked with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at Ground Zero on and after 911, residents of southern Manhattan and rescue and clean-up workers involved in the recovery operations at the site of the former World Trade Center are experiencing an unusually high rate of non-Hodgkin lymphoma -- a cancer that is common among individuals who have been exposed to extremely high levels of ionizing radiation, such as that from nuclear blasts and major nuclear reactor leaks. In addition to the respiratory problems among rescue workers at Ground Zero who breathed toxic "pulverized" concrete and other debris into their lungs, the radiation cancer is of extreme interest to researchers who suspect that the World Trade Center towers and Building 7 were brought down with the help of high energy releases. WMR spoke to a number of individuals who were at Ground Zero on 911 who are now experiencing symptoms resulting from severe damage to their immune systems -- a condition that is common among those exposed to high levels of radiation.

Sources close to FEMA in New York confirmed to WMR that the lymphoma cases are believed to be the result of a release of extremely high levels of radiation from a series of nuclear events on the morning of 911. They believe that explains the reason for the "pulverization" of concrete, molten metals, pyroclastic surges and fallout, and other anomalies resulting from the catastrophe. It was also pointed out that some vehicles parked on the west side of the World Trade Center were "fused" on the sides facing the towers -- the doors being melted into the body frames. Other cars parked nearby were not similarly affected. There is also evidence of explosions and fires on top of the Woolworth Building, three blocks away from the World Trade Center, during the attack on the towers.

FEMA officials from Washington, DC were quick to ban any unofficial photography in southern Manhattan in the weeks following 911. Any photographers who had not received prior permission from FEMA to be in southern Manhattan found their photographic and filming equipment confiscated by the government.

Really If the Bush/Blair administration really wanted to keep you safe, Instead of sending the troops in 2 illigal wars causing massive casualties of soldiers and civilians they should have used the troops to patrol our boarder making sure not 1 illigal immigrant and cargo gets smuggled through land and coast. They would have use the money immidiatly after 9-11 to have funded a program that made sure 100% of all containers that come into us ports get inspected.
It doesn't matter if it delays goods to be distributed, its the safety of our lives and that of our children we talking about. 5 years later and they are barely started to get serious about inspection of containers and a nationwide fence along mexico. Is as if by attacking 2 countries that had the least ties to 9-11 hijackers(those hijackers where from saudi arabia and some had links to pakistan and we didn't bomb none of them), thus creating more terrorist and yet illigal immigrants get through our boarder as of september 19,2006 that's 5 later years folks, yet we spend 350 billion dollars in 2 illigal wars, come on television and claim we are safer but not yet safe. How many contianers have gone unisnpected in those 5 years putting at risk your lives, if any of them have WMD's and Bilogical weapons. No they didn't care if all containers get inspected because that would delay the goods from being moved from the port and thus the profits of the bush sponsors.

Yes indeed, the student newspaper of the same college that brought us the Unabomber and Henry "Genocide"Kissinger has just published an editorial calling for more "security" for Boston's subway, the "T".

For those of us who ride the T, and also know that terror drills, as in the London bombing and 9/11 have a weird tendency to coincide with bombings, this is no mere example of youthful indiscretion on the part of these children of the elite. Surely Harvard should be reviewing the teaching of Professor of "History" Ernest May, who will be conducting a seminar beeginning this Wednesday where he will teach absurd conspiracy theories (syllabus), i.e. the 9/11 Commission report he served as senior adviser to, to unsuspecting and impressionable freshman. So, is Harvard aware of the menace it allows to operate unchallenged within its ivy walls? It would seem so. In fact, just hours before publishing their editorial on the terror threat, they received a copy of this letter from a member of Scholars for 9/11 Truth to Harvard's president, Derek Bok.

We now have structural experts on public record saying that "WTC-7 was with the utmost probability brought down by controlled demolition done by experts."

We are in a crisis right now. It’s known to us, more than it was known to almost anyone outside the White House in 1969. A genuine crisis.......
The situation now, I think, demands of us not business as usual; it demands what was available in this country in 1969. I’ll characterize that very briefly: 5,000 young people went to prison rather then go into the Army (under the draft)—rather then collaborate with the war. I met some of those people on their way to prison. They put in my mind the thought: They’re doing everything they can, nonviolently—they were followers of Martin Luther King, of Thoreau, of Gandhi. Truthfully and nonviolently they are changing their lives, they are giving up their future, their career, they are doing everything they can to avert this war. That’s the right thing to do. What can I do now, what can I do if I’m ready to go to prison? Among other things, I started copying the Pentagon Papers—which did confront me with a possible prison sentence of 115 years—at that point. Was that too much to take on?................
.What’s needed at home of course is people who will change their lives and risk their careers and their jobs and their relationships with their families, their bosses, with their church groups, whoever—by taking a stronger stand than those people are ready to take. There is something missing in The Oakdale Estates subdivision. Oak Trees. Years ago, they were cut down to clear the property for development.

There is something missing, as well, here in The United States of America -- Land of The Free. Freedom.

Where are our much-vaunted freedoms in the present day United States? Are they, perhaps, hidden among the phantom oaks of Oakdale Estates?

Sadly, it appears, for a depressingly large percent of our citizenry, the loss of our rights and liberties are missed and remembered to the same extent as the felled trees of Oakdale Estates.

At morning, during their commute to work, the residents of Oakdale Estates sit, stranded in traffic, on ever more congested "freeways"; they, as is the case with most of us, remain steadfast in our fantasy that automobiles provide us with freedom. Rarely do we consider the fact that, in all likelihood, a bank or finance company owns the vehicles, while, in order to meet our loan payments, we must continue to work ever-longer hours and spend evermore time stuck in those self-same vehicles, in order to reach the jobs that devour evermore of our "free time," so that we can afford to pay the exorbitant price the "freedom" to "own" an automobile allegedly bestows upon us.

The events of the 5th anniversary 9/11 weekend made it known to the Establishment that 9/11 truth is here to stay, and they are fighting back in full force. James Meigs and his Popular Mechanics propaganda engine have gone on a media tour, often appearing unopposed to scoff at "conspiracy theories".

In addition to our current level of activism, in addition to our street actions, we need to accelerate what we are doing in such a way as to completely neutralize media hit pieces. As the 9/11 media hit pieces increase and government/Establishment hired scientists and engineers are trotted out to explain the impossible, we need to bring a stronger degree of scientific credibility behind the controlled demolition thesis.

A recent Scripps Howard poll stated that 36% believed that it was at least somewhat likely that elements of the government were complicit in 9/11. We need the same to happen in the scientific community with regard to the suspicious collapses of the towers.

Let's initiate a 9/11 Science Campaign aimed specifically at scientists and engineers. Let's reach out to the scientists and engineers, the vast majority of whom probably have little or no memory of what the WTC collapses looked like, the vast majority of whom have probably never heard of WTC 7. Send them copies of "Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Completely Collapse?" and "Waking Up From Our Nightmare".

Why We Need a 9/11 Science Campaign:

1. To not do so would be to ignore the obvious - that fire does not cause a steel framed skyscraper to collapse symmetrically, shred itself into fine dust, create rivers of molten steel, and generate such intense fires and heat that persisted into the winter. It should not take a PhD to point this out, but in the infowar, it raises our stature in the eyes of the general public to hear an army of engineers coming forward.

2. It gives us an accelerated credibility that truly lets us leverage our efforts, especially compared to reaching out to the layperson.

3. To protect and validate the brave scientists and engineers who have already gone public. Engineers and college professors who speak out are being ridiculed and sometimes punished for their 9/11 beliefs. Clearly, the Establishment is trying to make an example of people who dare to challenge the official 9/11 fable. But they cannot do this to the 9/11 truth movement if professors speak out in much greater numbers. Cries of "conspiracy theory" by writers such as Alexander Cockburn will ring hollow against an army of serious scientists (not that he'll stop trying).

I graduated from an engineering school sometime ago (Cooper Union, B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 1999). I've started with my Alma Mater, in sending out a copy of Jones' paper to some of my professors, and encouraging them to take a closer look at 9/11, in the hopes that more will speak out. I implore everyone to do the same with universities and companies in the U.S. and abroad.
