Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ) and Roscoe Bartlett (R-MD) deserve enormous credit and thanks for leading the congressional effort to hold the FBI accountable over its bungling of the investigation into the post-9/11 anthrax attacks that killed five Americans. The FBI has officially “closed” the case and conveniently blames a dead man, who committed suicide under FBI pressure, for the anthrax murders.

Several notable reviewers have assailed James Cameron for expressions of anti-American and liberal sentiments. One writer for Christian Web site MovieGuide claimed that the film held an "abhorrent, New Age, pagan, anti-capitalist worldview" and promoted goddess worship and, bluntly, the destruction of the human race.

Another conservative review describes the film as a liberal's "PC Revenge Fantasy" and implies that Cameron uses the human attack on an alien home world as a thinly disguised parallel to the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center

The hope is to create a site that is "long-lasting and thought-provoking," and to
make it accessible to everyone, Lusk said.

A committee organized by Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue, with the help of Leadership Kitsap volunteers, is working on a 9/11 memorial project. The panel has identified 17 possible locations for the memorial. They hope to find a place for it in Silverdale.

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon on Friday officially dropped military charges against the accused mastermind of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and four other alleged conspirators, a development that likely foreshadows their transfer to New York City to face charges in a civilian federal court.

The Pentagon said the dismissal of the charges "without prejudice" against alleged plot leader Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the others, Walid Bin Attash, Ramzi Bin al Shibh, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi, was a procedural step to clear the way for their civilian trials.

There was no word on when indictments would be issued in New York against the men or when they would be transferred from Guantanamo to the United States.

Attorney General Eric Holder announced on Nov. 13 that the five men would be tried in federal court for the 9/11 attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people. Criticism quickly followed by Republicans and others who said trying the men inside the United States would create security risks and allow the defendants legal protections that they shouldn't have.

CANTOR Fitzgerald has boosted its damages claim in the September 11, 2001 terror attacks by more than $1 billion to cover lost profits after two-thirds of its work force perished in the World Trade Center collapse.

The global financial services firm, which initially sought only $102.5 million, demanded the eye-popping amount "on the eve of mediation" last year, according to a new Manhattan federal court filing, the New York Post reports.

Defendant American Airlines -- whose Flight 11 crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York -- will seek to have the "dramatic increase" dismissed on grounds that it's a "disguised wrongful death claim" with no basis in law, the court papers say.

A Cantor spokesman declined to comment.

Cantor's claim was revealed in an agreement to settle $6 billion worth of property-damage suits filed by 80 businesses, including the former Windows on the World restaurant, World Trade Center Farmers Market and numerous insurance companies.

WASHINGTON -- The Senate voted Wednesday to extend for a year key provisions of the nation's counterterrorism surveillance law that are scheduled to expire at the end of the month. In agreeing to pass the bill, Senate Democrats retreated from adding new privacy protections to the USA Patriot Act.

The Judiciary Committee bill would have restricted FBI information demands known as national security letters and made it easier to challenge gag orders imposed on Americans whose records are seized.

Library records would have received extra protections. Congress would have closely scrutinized FBI use of the law to prevent abuses. Dissemination of surveillance results would have been restricted and after a time, unneeded records would have been destroyed.

Anti-war groups have long been regarded as deliberate gatekeepers to the 9/11 Truth (and anti-war) movement. But in 2009 VFP membership mushroomed with savvy new members who realized it wasn't enough to protest the war if you didn't protest the government lie that allowed it to happen. And most VFP members know the "Tonkin Resolution" was a deliberate lie – aka: "False Flag".

By 2008, an international team of scientists had published volumes of conclusive evidence for “explosive demolition” of the Twin Towers and WTC-7. This hard evidence and admissions by the 9/11 commission that they were "set up to fail" moved VFP members and leadership to pass a resolution to press for a new 9/11 investigation during their 2009 annual meeting.

During that time, multiple faxes to multiple Ron Paul fax numbers, multiple phone calls to multiple Ron Paul offices, attempts by people with personal access to Dr. Paul, and finally, a plea from the Japanese Embassy directly to Ron Paul’s Congressional Offices in Washington, all have gone for naught, the inquiry from the Japanese government meeting with a flat refusal.
