The recent news reports that our government has finally charged the “6 Guantanamo Detainees” for crimes connected to the 9/11 terrorist attacks has focused on the fact that our government is calling for the death penalty. While we all agree that the perpetrators of 9/11 should be brought to justice, the death penalty is not the issue.

The real issue is that it must first be proven that these six detainees are indeed the guilty parties.

Betsy and I were on Friday (2/15/2008) from 9:30 until 10. This show reaches 38 states, and Canada, and is on one of the more popular stations in Philadelphia.

That the 9/11 Commission was the best possible investigation we could have hoped for, and that it fulfilled its' mandate of providing a "full and complete accounting" of the 9/11 attacks.

That those many family members that lost their loved ones that day don't deserve to know how and why they were murdered.

That sending 9/11 First Responders knowingly to their possible deaths is an acceptable decision that no one should be held accountable for.

That the 9/11 First Responders don't deserve every possible benefit to help them in their time of need.

That blatantly covering up different aspects of the 9/11 attacks is in this country, and the world's best interest.

That using the 9/11 attacks to launch two wars that served no purpose other than fulfilling the agenda of a few is reasonable behavior for our elected officials.

That using the 9/11 attacks to scare the people of this country into submission with ridiculous amounts of fear-mongering is acceptable behavior for our elected officials and the mainstream media.

That using the 9/11 attacks to implement policies that restrict our rights as citizens is in this country's best interest.

Families of 9/11 victims fear a military tribunal of six accused al-Qaeda killers will end with too many secrets being carried to the grave.

Family members tell the Herald they want justice - including executions as the ultimate penalty - but also a public airing of security failures and names of Arab moneymen who bankrolled the terrorists.

“I hope we can follow the terrorists’ routes and learn about the frontmen,” said Mike Low, whose 28-year-old daughter, Sara Low of Boston, was a flight attendant on American Airlines [AMR] Flight 11 that hijackers slammed into the World Trade Center north tower.

Bill Doyle, who lost his son, Joey, in the attacks said he’s suing the government for $1 trillion to expose who financed the terrorists. A tribunal, he said, may help or doom his complex litigation.

This article will be appearing on the front page of tomorrow's issue (2/13/2008) of Main Line Life. To my knowledge, an article like this has never appeared in a newspaper before. Never. Documentaries question official explanations of the Sept. 11 attacks.

They realize their topic is big; its implications disturbing, but they are compelled by inner conviction.

On Tuesday nights in downtown Wayne, since Jan. 1, Betsy Metz, of Devon, and Jon Gold, of Plymouth Meeting have been sponsoring documentaries at the Wayne Theater that dispute the official explanations of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

They intend to show the videos through February and describe themselves as everyday citizens accruing out-of-pocket costs. Theirs is one effort among several around the country attempting to spur interest and they plan to donate all proceeds to the “FealGood Foundation.”

While, as with any controversy, there are those who discount the credibility of its proponents, their movement has grown, and continues to mount evidence asserting that the truth about the attacks was deliberately concealed.

New York lawmakers in Washington who have been persistently pressing the White House for increased funding for healthcare programs for ailing 9/11 World Trade Center workers were jolted last week when President George W. Bush's proposed budget slashed those programs by 77 percent.

Only last Wednesday, they pointed out, a White House spokesman had issued a statement that the president's 2009 budget would "reflect his continued commitment" to WTC workers. In reality, the budget issued appropriated a paltry $25 million, down from $108 million in the present spending plan.

"This dramatic and unwarranted cut flies in the face of common sense, compassion and just plain fairness," Senator Charles Schumer declared as he promised to "fight these cuts tooth and nail to ensure these heroes receive the health care they need and clearly deserve".

Less than four months before the 2004 election, it looked like President Bush might face a perilous accountability moment.

An independent, bipartisan commission was set to report on the "circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, including preparedness for and the immediate response to the attacks."

The White House had a lot to lose from an unfettered, authoritative examination of those issues. The last thing Bush needed during a hotly contested reelection campaign was a reminder of his inattention to the threat of terrorism before 9/11, or of his initial paralysis when he heard the news, or of his misbegotten attempts to pin the blame on Iraq.

I thought this was an appropriate story to re-post considering the news about Zelikow. - Jon

9/11 Commission Executive Director Philip Zelikow has deep, lasting ties to several members of both the Bush I and Bush II Administrations. Any one of these connections could have been deemed sufficient to eliminate Zelikow from consideration on the basis of non-independence. Consider:

• Zelikow was an aide to Brent Scowcroft, National Security Advisor to George H.W. Bush;
  
• Zelikow was part of the Bush II transition team and worked closely with Condoleeza Rice, George W. Bush's National Security Advisor. As advisor to Rice, Zelikow would sit in on high-level meetings on the terror threat in early 2001.
  
• In 1999 Zelikow co-authored a book with Rice, entitled "Germany Unified and Europe Transformed: A Study in Statecraft."
  
• Zelikow was appointed to President Bush's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board in the aftermath of 9/11.
  

This is being shot out across the "wire". This is such big news. If you are new to 9/11 Truth, this essentially verifies what we've been saying for a long time. The 9/11 Commission was not a real investigation into the attacks of 9/11. We need a real, criminal investigation. - Jon

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Sept. 11 commission's executive director had closer ties with the White House than publicly disclosed and tried to influence the final report in ways that the staff often perceived as limiting the Bush administration's responsibility, a new book says.

Philip Zelikow, a friend of then-national security adviser Condoleezza Rice, spoke with her several times during the 20-month investigation that closely examined her role in assessing the al-Qaida threat. He also exchanged frequent calls with the White House, including at least four from Bush's chief political adviser at the time, Karl Rove.

Some of you may have seen the news regarding Philip Zelikow. If you watched Keith Olbermann tonight, you were in for a treat. During the time of the 9/11 Commission, the "Jersey Girls" called for the resignation of Philip Zelikow. As you can see from this clip from 9/11: Press For Truth:
