National Security Whistleblowers series continues on Worldview
Wednesday July 9, 2008 by Jonah Meadows, Worldview Producer
Sibel Deniz Edmonds (pictured at left) is a former FBI translator who says she saw evidence of “criminal activities involving U.S. officials.” After she blew the whistle, the government used the “State Secrets Privilege” to silence her in court.

Sibel first came to public awareness in a 2002 60 Minutes story, and much of what is known about allegations came from a 2005 Vanity Fair article by British journalist David Rose. (It even prompted a letter of complaint from Dennis Hastert’s lawyer. Hastert was implicated in the allegations of bribery and corruption by Turkish agents.)

After the Supreme Court refused to hear her case, upholding its dismissal on State Secrets grounds, Sibel’s story disappeared from the media. But this year was different. In January, the British Sunday Times newspaper published an explosive three-part series into Sibel’s allegations.

Emerging Threats- Analysis: U.S. military to patrol Internet

"I would not characterize it as monitoring," added [deputy intelligence chief of the U.S. Army's Fifth Signal Command in Mannheim, Germany] Hembrook. "This is a research tool gathering information that is already in the public domain."

Sounds like the program called "Able Danger"; the one that was shut down in 2001, ostensibly to prevent disruption of the 9/11 patsy plot.

"Hembrook said the main purpose of the contract is to analyze "trends in information."

Right, dude; open your eyes- the 9/11 Truth Movement is a growing Tsunami wave of public opinion. Also has a quote from Al/As Sahab aka IntelCenter:

While declining to comment on the specific solicitation, Ben Venzke, CEO of IntelCenter, an Alexandria, Va.-based company that monitors Islamic extremist propaganda for clients including U.S. government agencies, said it was "common" for the military or other agencies to employ contractors "to support their own work on these issues."

“We have to examine the 9/11 incident and a judiciary inquiry should be conducted as America is responsible for it,”

"“We have to examine the 9/11 incident and a judiciary inquiry should be conducted as America is responsible for it,” Senator Professor Khurshid Ahmed said. He said that America, Great Britain and Nato countries started the war against terrorism and engulfed the whole world. He said America should change its foreign policy regarding terrorism, adding war strategy of America, Britain and Nato countries had badly failed in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Afghan poppy income funding terrorists

By NAVEED BUTT submitted 1 day 10 hours ago

ISLAMABAD - Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence and Defence Production Nisar Memon has said that poppy cultivation in Afghanistan has increased during the last few years and its income is being utilized by terrorists to purchase modern and sophisticated weapons.

He expressed these views in a meeting with an 8-member delegation of British House of Commons Defence Select Committee at the Parliament House here on Monday.

They knew, but did nothing (excerpt from Shenon book published in Austrailia)

At what point does "criminal negligence" become so extreme that it can be considered "complicity" beyond a reasonable doubt? Shenon attempts to put the "incompetence", "ignorance", "failure to imagine", "system failure" and "covering up incompetence" spin on what he reports while essentially supporting the theory that Al Qaeda outwitted the dimwitted and incompetent US intelligence and defense establishments, but even what he does say seems like grounds for impeachment hearings to me.

"The warnings were going straight to President Bush each morning in his briefings by the CIA director, George Tenet, and in the presidential daily briefings. It would later be revealed by the 9/11 commission into the September 11 attacks that more than 40 presidential briefings presented to Bush from January 2001 through to September 10, 2001, included references to bin Laden.

History (Channel) lines up 9/11, WWII docs

The propaganda campaign is really ramping up ahead of the NIST WTC 7 report and the 7th anniversary

History lines up 9/11, WWII docs

US cable network History has greenlit a 102-minute special about the September 11 terrorist attacks and a 10-part series following US soldiers in the Second World War.

102 Minutes That Changed America plays out in real time, using amateur and profession footage shot on the day of the attacks. The one-off show will premiere on the anniversary of the attacks later this year.

WWII HD, set for a 2009 debut, will trace the experiences of a group of US soldiers, using 3,000 hours of colour archive footage, diary and journal entries.

The network will incorporate original Library of Congress audio recordings from the war into the series as part of their recently formed multimedia partnership.

The goal is to present the events of the war "not as detached historical facts but rather as profound experiences on the level of a great Hollywood epic," the network said.

The JFK Assassination and 9/11: the Designated Suspects in Both Cases
by Peter Dale Scott

Global Research, July 5, 2008

Global Research recently published my essay entitled 9/11, Deep State Violence and the Hope of Internet Politics In this article, I argue that 9/11 should be analyzed as a deep event (an event not fully aired or understood because of its intelligence connections) and above all as one of a series of deep events which from time to time have frustrated peace initiatives or become pretexts for war.

In support of this overall thesis I pointed to features of 9/11 which recalled similar deep events: the still not fully understood outbreak of the Korean War in 1950, the JFK assassination, and the so-called Second Tonkin Gulf Incident of 1964 (an alleged attack on U.S. destroyers which we now know never happened).

Birmingham Star Plugs AE911Truth.org!

Actually, even better; a balanced story- although their quotation of NIST's Sunder makes him look like an idiot: their "working" "hypothesis" "now actually" "suggests" "that MAY have caused".

Dr Shyam Sunder, of NIST, has told the BBC: "Our working hypothesis now actually suggests that it was normal building fires that were growing and spreading throughout the multiple floors that may have caused the ultimate collapse of the buildings."

Verdict soon on World Trade Center third tower
Birmingham Star
Friday 4th July, 2008

US experts, investigating the collapse of the third tower at the World Trade Center, say building fires on several different floors probably caused the collapse.

The 47-storey third tower, known as Tower Seven, which was occupied by the Secret Service and the CIA, collapsed seven hours after the main two towers.

Unlike the twin towers, Tower Seven was not hit by a plane.

The Bush 9/11 Scandal for Dummies by Bernard Weiner (Counterpunch 6/1/02)

posting this in full to preserve it for posterity. Counterpunch should be ashamed; they knew all this in June 2002 (presents a strong "LIHOP" perspective), and since then they've posted numerous hit pieces instead of doing the obviously sorely needed investigative reporting- although they have published stories on Sibel Edmonds, and one on the high-fivers.

The Bush 9/11 Scandal for Dummies by Bernard Weiner

Don't know about you, but all this who-knew-what-when pre-9/11 stuff is mighty confusing. So once again, I head to that all-purpose reference series for some comprehensible answers.

Q. I've heard all these reports about the government knowing weeks and months in advance of 9/11 that airliners were going to be hijacked and flown into buildings, and yet the Bush Administration apparently did nothing and denied they did anything wrong. They claimed the fault lay in the intelligence agencies "not connecting the dots," or that it was the "FBI culture" that failed. Can you explain?

Sibel Edmonds' Redacted IG Report Released

I've got a few items today.

Firstly, former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds and I were interviewed by Scott Horton for Antiwar Radio last week. The interview went live on Monday. From the blurb:
"Sibel Edmonds and Luke Ryland discuss the London Times series on her case and the international nuclear black-market network surrounding A.Q. Kahn, the U.S. government’s total clamp-down by gag orders even against Congress, the American foreign policy hypocrisy of demonizing certain nuclear ambitions and supporting others, the military-industrial-congressional complex revolving door, the bipartisan lack of enthusiasm in pursuing whistleblower cases, the movie about Sibel’s case “Kill The Messenger,” and how it only takes one congressman to call her to testify to blow the case wide open."
You can listen (50 mins) to it here, and read the transcript here. The youtube version is here

For the first time, the redacted version of the Department of Justice's Inspector General's report into Sibel's case has been released - parts 1, 2, & 3 (pdfs)

Who Planned the Anthrax Attacks? It's the $5,800,000 Question by Justin Raimondo

1st 4 paragraphs, lots and lots of html links- who sent the letter to Quantico before the attacks, trying to pin them in advance on Assaad? Why didn't the FBI investigate the letter sender, who it appears had foreknowledge? Instead, they cleared Assaad and tried to frame Hatfill.

Who Planned the Anthrax Attacks?
It's the $5,800,000 question

You remember the anthrax attacks – or do you? It often seems, to me at least, that this important catalyst for the invasion of Iraq and our supremely wrong-headed post-9/11 foreign policy has been flushed down the collective memory hole. For all the attention that's been paid to that spooky chapter in the history of the "war on terrorism" in the intervening years, it may as well have never occurred. That's why news of the former prime suspect's ultimate vindication – and his victory in a $5.8 million lawsuit in which he accused the feds of unfairly targeting him as a "person of interest" (as John Ashcroft put it) – seems like a visitation from another time, the ghost of 9/11 past, haunting and mocking us. It sends chills down my spine – because, you see, the real culprits are still out there.

Google must divulge YouTube log

Google must divulge YouTube log

Google must divulge the viewing habits of every user who has ever watched any video on YouTube, a US court has ruled.

The ruling comes as part of Google's legal battle with Viacom over allegations of copyright infringement.

Digital rights group the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) called the ruling a "set-back to privacy rights".

The viewing log, which will be handed to Viacom, contains the log-in ID of users, the computer IP address (online identifier) and video clip details.

While the legal battle between the two firms is being contested in the US, it is thought the ruling will apply to YouTube users and their viewing habits everywhere.

Viacom, which owns MTV and Paramount Pictures, has alleged that YouTube is guilty of massive copyright infringement.

The UK's Premier League association is also seeking class action status with Viacom on the issue, alledging YouTube has been used to watch football highlights.

Happy Birthday, America by John Kusumi (No vote w/o 9/11 Investigation)

Good points about boycotting in the article; excerpt about only supporting candidates that embrace and endorse 9/11 investigation:

The only way that Barack Obama can get my vote is if he (a.) rejects and denounces his association with Wesley Clark; (b.) embraces and endorses the impeachment of George W. Bush; and (c.) embraces and endorses a new investigation of the 9/11 attacks.

The only way that John McCain can get my vote is if he (a.) rejects and denounces trade deals which enlarge the U.S. trade deficit; (b.) embraces and endorses the impeachment of George W. Bush; and (c.) embraces and endorses a new investigation of the 9/11 attacks. Based on his trade policy, I might nickname him to be "Wrong Way McCain." That is based on his trade policy. So yes, I do have my differences with John McCain, but those are based on policy and not on denigrating his military service. His military service is one of the most honorable and heroic aspects of John McCain.

Educators and 9/11: Learning to teach the unthinkable

A symposium is being held in Jersey City July 1 on how to teach 9/11; while i pity the teachers that will attempt to teach the OCT to a generation avidly embracing the internet and wise to reality, critical thinking and the corporate govt/media conflicts and agenda, it is disturbing seeing well-funded attempts like this to indoctrinate the younger generations, the future of our nation, our posterity with evil lies. Similar to ABC's Path to 9/11 attempting to team up with Scholastic- they failed on the joint venture, i think- due to public outcry. Submit your comments if you have children and you care about the quality of their education, or if you don't have kids and just care about the health of society and the future of humanity.

Educators and 9/11: Learning to teach the unthinkable

Guest column: All-knowing mastermind of 9/11? Hard to believe

I posted the following comment on this article; people who feel strongly that a 757 didn't hit the Pentagon should really review the material at 911research.wtc7.net , they have a number of articles on the Pentagon, i linked one in my comment- the case is not persuasive to a great many sincere people, and may be a booby trap or intentional distraction. I support the release of ALL video and pics.

the official 9/11 story is BS, but the "pentagon hole" may be a red herring, it's been shown that 77 or a 757 could've caused the damage- when you look at ALL of the available photos, there's a 100 foot gash in the base, and it's possible the plane went into the building, getting shredded as it went- this is not solid evidence
