An Important Reminder

I often find that if I don't remind myself of the facts, I tend to lose solid belief in the truth. I know that the facts are there, but the things they stand for become far-fetched in my mind. The government attacking the World Trade Center? Attacking the most decorated US naval ship in history? Funding both side of every war? A secret society taking over the world? None of it could be true...But it is. So, here is the top eleven reasons 9/11 was an inside job. Just so all of you can be reminded. Brought to you by www.911truth.org

Jail Time for Tenet? by Ray McGovern

http://www.consortiumnews.com/2008/061108a.html

President George W. Bush used to complain that being president was “hard work,” but he has gotten over that. Now he says it “has been a fabulous experience.”

Why fabulous? Well, a good part of it has to do with his past.

When Bush screwed up royally – whether in his personal or business affairs – he had to suffer the humiliation of asking his father or his father’s friends (sometimes Arab friends) to bail him out.

But now? Wow! As president, young George has found he can escape accountability altogether.

Now when he screws up royally, he need not call Dad; George W. Bush is himself in control of all the levers he needs to pull in order to bail himself out. Is this a great country or what?

An invertebrate Congress has been a big help. But his greatest asset limiting his liability has been the kind of folk he has gotten to work for him. The kind like Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, Scooter Libby, whom he has no problem asking to lie for him, when required.

For Bush’s powers are formidable – as he showed when Libby, convicted perjurer and obstructer of justice, was about to go off to prison. The president commuted Libby’s sentence, sending a message to others who might be called on to lie for him to hang tough and count on commutation or pardon.

A president’s unlimited power to pardon serves as the ultimate trump card to keep friends and associates out of jail.

Even so, one key aide, former CIA Director and Medal of Freedom winner, George Tenet, can be forgiven for being somewhat apprehensive these days. For he has lied under oath regarding what Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks and how early Bush knew it.

The Deep State and 9/11

The unthinkable – that elements inside the state would conspire with criminals to kill innocent civilians – has become not only thinkable but commonplace in the last century. A seminal example was in French Algeria, where dissident elements of the French armed forces, resisting General de Gaulle’s plans for Algerian independence, organized as the Secret Army Organization and bombed civilians indiscriminately, with targets including hospitals and schools. Critics like Alexander Litvinenko, who was subsequently murdered in London in November 2006, have charged that the 1999 bombings of apartment buildings around Moscow, attributed to Chechen separatists, were in fact the work of the Russian secret service (FSB).

Similar attacks in Turkey have given rise to the notion there of an extra-legal "deep state" – a combination of forces, ranging from former members of the CIA-organized Gladio organization, to "a vast matrix of security and intelligence officials, ultranationalist members of the Turkish underworld and renegade former members of the [Kurdish separatist] PKK." The deep state, financed in part by Turkey’s substantial heroin traffic, has been accused of killing thousands of civilians, in incidents such as the lethal bomb attack in November 2005 on a bookshop in Semdinli. This attack, initially attributed to the Kurdish separatist PKK, turned out to have been committed by members of Turkey's paramilitary police intelligence service, together with a former PKK member turned informer. On April 23, 2008, the former Interior Minister Mehmet Agar was ordered to stand trial for his role in this dirty war during the 1990s.

False Flag Alert?: Wyo. Guard [Dirty Bomb] Team Heading to Denver for [Dem] Convention

snips:

"Amid the thousands of spectators, delegates and Secret Service, a select group of Wyoming National Guard soldiers and airmen will be present during the Democratic National Convention in Denver from Aug. 25-28. The 22 service members are part of the Wyoming Guard's 84th Civil Support Team. The unit "assesses hazards, advises civil authorities, and facilitates military support during emergencies and incidents of suspected weapons of mass destruction," according to the team's mission statement. The 84th is just one of several civil support teams tasked for the DNC in the event that a weapon of mass destruction is either deployed or threatened. There are a total of 55 such teams throughout the United States and its territories.

Considering the extensive body of verifiable evidence that sharply contradicts the official version of the 911 attacks, if you were one person in a group that is preparing to address a large audience of fence-sitters, what single aspect of the crime would you find most compelling and choose to explore?

Oddly collapsing buildings, mysterious pre-impact flashes, missing aircraft debris, puddles of once molten steel and/or videotape anomolies.
The extensive yet seemingly taboo eye witness accounts of multiple, immense explosions prior to the collaspe of each of the WTC towers.
The speedy disposal of or classifying of crime scene evidence at three locations.
The removal of anti-terrorism expert, (in four administrations), Richard Clark from the presiden't inner circle in the months prior to the attacks, even though, according to FBI Chief George tenet that the entire US intelligence system was "blinking red".

One more lie: "liberal media'

Zero-tolerance on altering articles is a good policy; however, that just stopped me from taking the @ out of the author's email to reduce his spam, which i think i've done before; exception warranted?

U.S. intelligence learned in 1998 of a plot to attack the World Trade Center with hijacked airliners and in 1999 of a plot to attack the Pentagon in the same manner. On Aug. 6, five weeks before 9/11, Bush was warned of an imminent attack on the United States. But Bush didn’t bother to put the nation’s defenses on alert, not even when he was told an airliner had hit the World Trade Center.

Nor did he order national defense to action when he was told the nation was under attack. Instead, he lied that there had been no warning and no one imagined airliners being used as bombs, lies he repeated until 2004.

No reporter asked why the mightiest nation the world has known was unable to defend itself from 19 hijackers for an hour and a half.

Oh, the shades and degrees between the OCT and "inside job"

Pilot Adds Perspective To Sept. 11 Attacks: "Touching History"

"In some cases, the facts published in this book, as told to her in interviews with airmen and airline pilots who were involved, differ markedly from the account in The 9/11 Commission Report," retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Larry Arnold, the commander of 1st Air Force in Panama City on Sept. 11, said in "Touching History."
"After reading this book, you decide," Arnold wrote."

"Touching History: The Untold Story of the Drama That Unfolded in the Skies Over America on 9/11," by Lynn Spencer (Free Press, $26)

The late U.S. Army Col. Milton "Bud" Halsey once shared his thoughts on how Cold War air defense units would have responded in an attack on the United States.
"You never know how individuals will react in combat," said Halsey, a Bronze and Silver Star-decorated veteran of two wars. "You have to wait until they take some hits. You won't know how well they will perform until you learn how they respond to casualties."

School apologizes for teacher's comment that 9/11 was inside job

FUJISAWA, Kanagawa -- A junior high school has apologized for a teacher's comment in classes that the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks were carried out by the United States.

In late May, the teacher told classes at Fujisawa Municipal Zengyo Junior High School that the synchronized terrorist attacks were "written and acted out" by the United States.

On Sunday, the school arranged a meeting attended by PTA officials and offered an apology.

Education board officials who received a report from the junior high school said the teacher was in charge of social studies. He reportedly made the comments to students in four second-year classes between May 26 and 29.

One student asked their parents if the terrorist attacks were really a put-up job, and the surprised parents filed protests with the school and the Fujisawa Municipal Board of Education, asking whether such comments in class were appropriate.

An education board official said that the teacher had been trying to make a point but used a bad example.

Donald Rumsfeld on 9/11: An enemy within

What was Rumsfeld doing on 9/11? He deserted his post. He disappeared. The country was under attack. Where was the guy who controls America’s defense? Out of touch! --A senior White House official

On September 11, 2001, the United States suffered its worst attack since Pearl Harbor. Yet, as evidence shows, the country was in many ways undefended for the entire duration of the assault. The Air Force was nowhere to be seen until it was too late. [1] The commander in chief of the armed forces, President George W. Bush, continued with a pre-planned photo op at a school in Florida, only leaving the place at 9:35, just before the time the Pentagon was struck. [2] The acting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Richard Myers was on Capitol Hill. Despite seeing the television reports of the World Trade Center after it was first hit, he continued with a scheduled meeting there, and supposedly was not notified when the second plane hit at 9:03. He therefore did not head back to the Pentagon until around the time it too was hit, and only joined the critical air threat conference call shortly before 10 a.m. By that time, the attacks were nearly over. [3]

Furthermore, new evidence shows that for the critical two hours in which the attacks occurred, the country was effectively without a secretary of defense. An analysis of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld’s actions on 9/11 reveals several occasions when he was alerted to the attacks that were taking place. Each time, if he were not already doing so, he should have leapt into action and assumed his responsibilities in coordinating a crisis response, and helping to protect the people of America. Yet, instead, his responses were consistent: He did nothing.

Norquist's Muslim (Terrorist Suspect) Protégés

Not sure how much of this is actually new, the names and connections get me cross-eyed sometimes- Abdurahman Alamoudi & Faisal Gill both are featured in the Complete 9/11 Timeline.

It's nice to see integrity in the right-wing/conservative movement; if they want to out Saudi Arabia's 9/11 connections and throw corrupt Republicans under the bus at the same time, God bless 'em- the truth rules. Perhaps this will be featured on Air America Stephanie Miller's "Republicans Eating Their Own". It's not likely Saudi involvement with the Bin Ladens can be exposed without exposing the Bushes. Whatever will these elites do- the collapse of the official 9/11 BS is accelerating. Bandar Bush was quoted by CNN Nov 2, 07 "If U.S. security authorities had engaged their Saudi counterparts in a serious and credible manner, in my opinion, we would have avoided what happened". http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/11/01/saudiarabia.terrorism/index.html

Saudi Arabia Will Pay! Dozens of Insurance Companies on Board (along with the Right-wing)

It's nice to see some right-wing media supporting public disclosure and truth regarding 9/11; the Cozen O'Connor Saudi lawsuit is getting attention. I find it hard to believe, with 7 years of research and millions invested by this lawfirm, that they didn't also uncover links to US, Pakistani and Israeli principals, if not direct evidence of responsibility, foreknowledge, negligence, complicity, etc., if they think they have enough evidence to prove to a jury that the govt of Saudi Arabia "intended" the 9/11 attacks to happen. Of course, he's got his career and fortunes riding on this, so he'll just target the Saudis; the right-wing will also target the Saudis; and the 9/11 truth movement will use whatever facts are brought to light by this case about Saudi Arabia's involvement to continue making the case to America and the World that the official 9/11 story isn't true and that full investigations with the power of the law and public oversight behind them are called for before another decision is made based on the belief that 9/11 was exclusively an Al Qaeda operation, before 9/11 is used to justify any policy or to rouse fear or patriotic fervor.

Sept. 11 Lawsuit

The lawsuit

An epic lawsuit filed by Philadelphia firm Cozen O'Connor looks to place direct blame for the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a host of individuals, banks and groups so that it can recover billions of dollars in damages.

The following excerpts from the lawsuit are in the form of .pdfs, and vary in length from 12 to 61 pages. There is some overlap, in instances where a section ended in the middle of the page; the excerpt that follows picks up on that same page.

1. The list of plaintiffs and defendants. Read the document

2. Background on the actions leading to the lawsuit, and beginning of the allegations against each defendant. Read the document

3. More background on the actions leading to the lawsuit. This section presents allegations against the defendant banks and other financial institutions. Read the document

A former al-Qaeda fighter accuses a Saudi charity

By Chris Mondics
INQUIRER STAFF WRITER

DOBOJ, Bosnia - For years, Saudi Arabia flatly denied it had provided money and logistical support for Islamist militant groups that attacked Western targets.

But that assertion is disputed by a former al-Qaeda commander who testified in a United Nations war-crimes trial that his unit was funded by the Saudi High Commission for Relief of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ali Ahmed Ali Hamad, the former al-Qaeda fighter, gave the same account to The Inquirer in an interview in this struggling city in the central Balkans.

"Because it was the biggest charity, [the commission] helped the mujaheddin the most," Hamad said, adding that it had provided "everything a person needed to exist."

FIREFIGHT: Inside the Battle to Save the Pentagon on 9/11

Book review: Firefighters at the Pentagon, public records, 150 interviews with participants and eye-witnesses... anyone reading this?

"It took five years for authors Patrick Creed, a volunteer firefighter and Army officer, and Rick Newman, a writer for U.S. News and World Report, to pull together this story. Combing public records and conducting 150 interviews, Creed and Newman have done a monumental reporting job. Firefight tells the tale moment by moment through the accounts of dozens of participants and eye-witnesses. The book needed an editor with a sharper blue pencil -- it's too long, and the writing can be monotonous. Not unlike the heroes whose stories they tell, however, Creed and Newman faced a daunting challenge, rose to the occasion and rescued a piece of history from the ashes."

Pinning the blame for 9/11 - Special Report: A Phila. law firm wages an epic legal battle to win billions from Saudi Arabia.

New lawsuit over Saudi 9/11 involvement, based in part on warnings and info from the US government!!!

"With a ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit imminent, Cozen and his partners have unearthed facts and made connections missed not only by the 9/11 Commission but also by Congress in its investigations.

At the heart of the suit, the biggest and most complex legal action ever undertaken by the law firm, are warnings from U.S. and European officials that the charities were serving as terror fronts.

Among the suit's key assertions:

Senior Saudi officials and members of the royal family or their representatives served as executives or board members of the suspect charities when they were financing al-Qaeda operations. Overall, the Saudi government substantially controlled and financed the charities, the lawsuit alleges.

The charities laundered millions of dollars, some from the Saudi government, into al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups and provided weapons, false travel and employment documents, and safe houses.

Regional offices of the charities employed, in senior positions, al-Qaeda operatives who helped coordinate support for terror cells.
