NPR Program Covers Resistance To Facts

I came across this today. It is the NPR program Talk Of The Nation from July 13, 2010.

The topic is a recent study addressing cognitive dissonance, beliefs vs. facts. They postulate that, even when confronted with the facts refuting their beliefs, most won't change their position on the issue. Ironically, I think there is truth to what they postulate. I, however, would like THEM to confront THEIR beliefs which are refuted by scientific facts and physical laws. They attempt to use this concept to bash several "conspiracy theories" lumping 911 Truth in their basket with birthers etc.., implying that all are refuted by the facts, or should I say "facts".

Every time there is a terrorist attack, the nations blamed say that it was a “false flag” operation. This is what America did to cover up My Lai. We were lying. Germans claimed Poland invaded Germany in 1939. An educated guess is that 75% of terrorist attacks we hear of were staged, never happened or were done by “radical groups” that were first infiltrated, then controlled and eventually financed and supplied by intelligence agencies. Intelligence agencies are, in actuality, the biggest terrorist organizations in the world. The CIA has blown up more buses, airplanes and markets than any almost anyone else. The Mossad may be number one, followed by, well, everyone, the RAW, ISI, MI-6, IRA and dozens of others.

Breaking: Charlie Sheen Demands Obama Meeting On 9/11 Cover-up LOS ANGELES TIMES 9/9

I have heard some express concern about Charlie Sheen's fictional account of a fictional meeting with President Obama. They are afraid it will be spun as an attempt to deceive. Well, the LA TIMES wasn't confused. I am grateful that Mr. Sheen has given his publicity power to uncovering the truth.

This article by Andrew Malcolm of the Los Angeles Times:

Breaking: Charlie Sheen demands Obama meeting on 9/11 cover-up

Normally, when an A-/B+ celebrity issues some political pronouncement at the start of a new television season or just before a movie release, people might suspect it has something to do with publicity.

A lot of rich, pretty people speak out on causes they support at times like that and the world goes, So what?

But when someone with the gravitas of a Charlie Sheen issues a statement, anyone is forced to listen.

In an exclusive contact with the website, Sheen reveals 1) that he voted for Barack Obama in November and 2) that he [Sheen] has become convinced that the 9/11 attacks were an inside government job perpetrated by people inside government for inside and no doubt nefarious reasons.

We Want The World To Know About Barry Jennings

As part of a worldwide effort to commemorate the first anniversary of Barry Jennings' mysterious death, a few of us here in Dallas headed downtown to the steps of the Dallas Morning News. We displayed our signs to the passers by and got the attention of the people inside the building. We were greeted by security, who were cordial and respectful. We were later met by an editor of the paper who interviewed a couple of us. He was friendly and respectful. We gave him a DVD compilation of all the pertinent Barry Jennings information and urged him to get a reporter to review it. We were told that they concentrate on local stories, especially since there have been layoffs there at the paper. I think this was code for "don't expect any ink on this subject." We will see, but I am not holding my breath.

Short Notice! Barry Jennings action planned for Wednesday, August 19th!

The anniversary of the mysterious death of Barry Jennings is this Wednesday, August 19th. The fine people at would like you to help get the attention of the mainstream media on this important topic. They are asking that, this Wednesday, August 19th, someone from the movement stand with a sign which simply says JENNINGSMYSTERY.COM, in front of your local newspaper, radio or television news offices/studios. They also request that you bring a camera and take photos to share later at the site.

Lemonade from lemons: How Rescue Me producers turned Daniel Sunjata's
wild-eyed 9/11 conspiracy thoeries into compelling drama

It was an uncomfortable moment, even for guys who make a living spinning tough drama out of fart jokes and sex talk. But when critics asked the minds behind FX's blockbuster firefighter drama Rescue Me about the inspiration for a storyline where one of the guys insists the 9/11 terrorist attacks was an inside job, they simply pointed to castmember Daniel Sunjata. That's because Sunjata, a buff, accomplished actor who has played everyone from Reggie Jackson to Langston Hughes, actually believes a faction in the American government pulled off the attack.

Censorship Of The Internet Is Coming Closer To Home-Australia Is Putting Their Toe In The Water,21985,24568137-2862,00.html

from the Herald Sun:

AUSTRALIA will join China in implementing mandatory censoring of the internet under plans put forward by the Federal Government.

The revelations emerge as US tech giants Google, Microsoft and Yahoo, and a coalition of human rights and other groups unveiled a code of conduct aimed at safeguarding online freedom of speech and privacy.

The government has declared it will not let internet users opt out of the proposed national internet filter.

The plan was first created as a way to combat child pronography and adult content, but could be extended to include controversial websites on euthanasia or anorexia.

Communications minister Stephen Conroy revealed the mandatory censorship to the Senate estimates committee as the Global Network Initiative, bringing together leading companies, human rights organisations, academics and investors, committed the technology firms to "protect the freedom of expression and privacy rights of their users".

Mr Conroy said trials were yet to be carried out, but "we are talking about mandatory blocking, where possible, of illegal material."
