Prof. Jones Summarizes His Vancouver Keynote Address

I missed Prof. Jones' 6/23 keynote address at the Vancouver 9/11 Conference, however, I caught up with him on Sunday, and he was kind enough to summarize the key points of his lecture for visitors of 911blogger.com who couldn't be in Vancouver.

Jones' lecture will be available in the coming weeks on DVD from www.911tv.org and www.snowshoefilms.com

Philadelphia Emergency Anti-War Convention

This convention was originally called forth by Cindy Sheehan as a response to the betrayal of the antiwar cause by Congress. Cindy gave a call to,

“all citizens … to join us in Philadelphia on July 4th to try and figure a way out of this "two" party system that is bought and paid for by the war machine which has a stranglehold on every aspect of our lives. As for myself, I am leaving the Democratic Party. You have completely failed those who put you in power to change the direction our country is heading. We do not condone our government's violent meddling in sovereign countries and we condemn the continued murderous occupation of Iraq.”

We are convening to explore what to do next? What are we missing, and what can we do better? How do we release the war machine’s stranglehold around us?

In the living tradition of the Declaration of Independence, we convene to form a strategic alliance with anti-war, pro-impeachment, civil liberties, and other groups to develop a comprehensive strategy and implement actions to deal with this emergency.

mohammedatta@hotmail.com

We all know by now that many of the alleged hijackers made no efforts to conceal their identities or activities as they moved about the country before 9/11, even though a number of them were already on terrorist watch lists, or were being closely monitored by programs like Able Danger. This point is really hammered home by something a friend of mine turned up not too long ago: in a document from the Zacharias Moussaoui trial there is a listing of real name usages by various hijackers. Among these, which I find quite hilarious, is the fact that Atta's e-mail address was mohammedatta@hotmail.com. Ziad Jarrah likewise used his real name, ziadjarrah@ab.com. This latter e-mail address raises further curious questions: currently ab.com is the domain for Rockwell Automation, a major defense contractor. Whether this was their domain name back in 2000 is something which will require further investigation, so if anyone can find that out, please bring it forward.

Purdue 9/11 simulation exposed as fraud: Media covers up hoax and conceals crimes

By Jim Fetzer

A computer animation by engineers and computer scientists at Purdue University has been exposed as a fraud by a new member of Scholars for 9/11 Truth. James Fetzer, who founded the society, received a study from Nick Irving, replying to his invitation to submit an essay on the Purdue simulation, which can be found on the internet via http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cddIgb1nGJ8 "Nick pointed out that the model was based upon false data about the weakening point of steel and the temperature of jet fuel based fires. He proved that fireproofing was irrelevant because the fires never reached the weakening point of steel. But most importantly of all," Fetzer observed, "he noticed that the simulation does not even model the 'collapse' and cannot have shown that these fires caused one." His study will be archived at 911scholars.org.

THE 9/11 DENIERS

By NICOLE GELINAS

June 27, 2007 -- UGLY accusations threaten to permanently fracture New York's heroic post-9/11 legacy - and, perhaps worse, to deny the realities the city faced in those first horrific days, weeks and months.

Some headlines this week treated former Environmental Protection Agency chief Christie Todd Whitman like Osama bid Laden himself. The topic was her U.S. House testimony Monday on the EPA's response to 9/11, where she took criticism for saying, a week after the attacks, that the air Downtown - not directly on the pile, as the WTC site was called - "was safe to breathe."

Interrogators implied that her statement was incorrect at best and at worst a cold lie. One House member even faulted her for bringing up the fact that the attack was personal for her, since her son was in 7 World Trade Center that morning.

Research team receive threats after releasing 9/11 simulation

By Mikel Livingston

Publication Date: 06/27/07

The research team behind a scientifically rendered 3-D animation of the Sept. 11 attack on the World Trade Center is beginning to experience the effects of its 2 1/2 year project – not all of which is positive.

The animation, which depicts the crash of American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower, was placed on Purdue's Department of Computer Science Web site in early April and has since garnered nationwide media attention from CNN.com and NBC news.

"It is not easy to see the tragedy in such vivid detail," said Christoph Hoffmann, a computer science professor and a lead researcher for the project. "But (the animation) has generated a lot of debate, which is positive."

But, as the team has since found, there is a darker side to success.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler's Opening Statement At The EPA Hearings

I am no fan of Rep. Nadler's but this opening statement is pretty powerful. I have to give credit when credit is due. - Jon

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-08), Chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, today gaveled in the first comprehensive House hearing on the actions of the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) and other federal agencies that may have harmed the health of individuals living and working in the vicinity of the World Trade Center on or after September 11, 2001. Congressman Nadler represents the district where the World Trade Center once stood.

Whitman: EPA Knew 9/11 Contamination Put Workers, Residents At Risk

News: At a House hearing, the former EPA head defends her decision not to warn the public; rescue worker says she should have "stood on the pile and told us how bad it was."

The "rules of the House of Representatives" prohibit audience members from hoisting signs and from disrupting proceedings with applause, anger, or any other kind of outburst. To judge from his admonition to the crowd at the end of his opening statement, it seems clear that Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), chair of the judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution, civil rights, and civil liberties, suspected that Monday's proceedings might inflame emotions.

He was correct.
