Administration going toe-to-toe with Truth Movement on 9/11?'s a really weird one. The text following the url below is from a blog titled

Informed Comment Global Affairs: Group blog on Current Events

The blog entry's author is Barnett Rubin.
Barnett Rubin is a CFR member............cue the Twilight Zone music.

From a straight take on what he says it looks like the administration is going to try to drown out the 6th anniversary Truth events.
Maybe more and larger Truth actions and events need to take place on the 9th and 10th.
A big Truth roar on those 2 days will make it look obvious to more people that the
administration is scared of the Truth if/when cheney rolls out the new product on the 11th:
"Today I received a message from a friend who has excellent connections in Washington and whose information has often been prescient. According to this report, as in 2002, the rollout will start after Labor Day, with a big kickoff on September 11. My friend had spoken to someone in one of the leading neo-conservative institutions. He summarized what he was told this way:

Four Signatories of the Kennebunkport Warning say the Document was "altered" after they Signed.

(See updates at bottom of post. -r.)

From Dahlia Wasfi's website;

To Whom It May Concern:

Each of us were approached during the rally at the Kennebunkport event on August 25, 2007, to sign a statement calling for the immediate impeachment of Vice President Dick Cheney. Since then, the statement has been altered and posted on the internet, making it appear as if we have evidence that this administration will carry out a "false-flag terror operation."

None of us have such evidence, and therefore, none of us signed a statement stating that we do.

We wish the authors of the document well in continuing much needed investigations of all aspects of 9/11.

This is a strong accusation, an accusation of fraud, in less direct terms. Visitors to, and users of this site should be aware of this firm, public declaration.

They should also be aware that more evidence of the verity of the signed document was sent in today by Bruce Marshall...

This study conclusively demonstrates that unfounded fear of government is a recognizable mental illness, closely related to paranoid schizophrenia. Anti-Government Phobia (AGP) differs from most mental illnesses, however, in that it is highly infectious and has an acute onset. Symptoms include extreme suspiciousness, conspiracy-mongering, delusional thought patterns, staunch "us against them" mentality, withdrawal from reality, and often religious fanaticism.

Having the patient committed to a qualified mental health institution is the best option for family and loved ones. For this reason, all psychiatrists and family physicians should be provided with educational materials which will help them recognize the various symptoms and warning signs accompanying onset. Since comparatively little is known about Anti-Government Phobia at the present time, a government-funded health commission should be set up to oversee, and help focus, future research.

The Wicked Eunuch: Chomsky on 9/11

The Wicked Eunuch: Chomsky on 9/11

by Tom Breidenbach

“It is part of the general pattern of misguided policy that our country is now geared to an arms economy which was bred in an artificially induced psychosis of war hysteria and nurtured upon an incessant propaganda of fear.”
—General Douglas MacArthur, 15 May 1951

“There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare.”
—Sun Tzu

“…which is just gonna leave a lot of things unexplained, I mean that’s the way the world is.”
—Noam Chomsky

Noam Chomsky has bridled at the idea that 9/11 could have been to any significant degree the result of a state-level conspiracy, expressing his irritation at a recent presentation where he held forth for several minutes on the topic. Chomsky is a figure worthy in certain respects of the esteem accorded him, but his views on 9/11 reflect a common and dangerous mis-appraisal of the techniques of contemporary statecraft and, more shockingly (coming from him), of the long-worsening psychosis afflicting and increasingly characterizing the US military/industrial complex. The point made by Chomsky during his talk that 9/11 was a boon for authoritarian governments the world over is well-taken (if hardly original), yet beyond this his opinions regarding the attacks range from foolish to insidious.

Listed in the Arts and Humanities Citation Index (1992) as the most often-cited living author of the 1980s, Chomsky was recently touted on the floor of the UN’s General Assembly by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and, in another indication of his singular cultural status, has been referred to by international pop star Bono as a “rebel without a pause, the Elvis of academia.” Considering his academic and popular reputation, and his generally laudable contributions to letters historically, Chomsky’s irked condescension on the matter of 9/11 is especially perilous, given that—in light of critical studies by (among others) David Ray Griffin and Nafeez Ahmed—the psychosis of US state militarism appears to have manifested to a very real and criminal degree in Anglo-American state sponsorship of the September 11th 2001 attacks.

Department of Justice, Which Claimed State Secrets Required Termination of Whistleblower Suit, Now Relies on Same "Secrets" to Avoid Tort Liability

Department of Justice and FBI attorneys, during recent depositions taken in FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds’ Federal Tort Claims case, Civil Action NO. 1:05-CV-540 (RMC), questioned witnesses regarding information previously designated "state secrets" by the Attorney General.

Paul Reveres or Benedict Arnolds: Whistleblowing in the Post-9/11 Age

Here's a video of a recent appearance by Sibel Edmonds at the annual conference of the American Library Association. Please note the announcement that Sibel is co-authoring a book to appear this Fall; it will be titled Kill the Messenger.

Here is the video description: "Sibel Edmonds, President, National Security Whistleblowers Coalition, will discuss being fired by the FBI in March 2002 for reporting shoddy work and security breaches that may have prevented the 9/11 attacks. She will explain firsthand how government secrecy can be abusive and why defending whistleblowing is a free speech issue. Cosponsored by the Intellectual Freedom Committee and the Committee on Legislation this program is entitled "Paul Reveres or Benedict Arnolds?: Whistleblowing in the Post 9/11 Age"."

Dublin Club cancels David Ray Griffin's 9/11/07 lecture Due to Threat of Protest

David Ray Griffin's lecture scheduled for September 11th at the Sugar Club in Dublin, Ireland, has been canceled by the club manager. The club manager writes, "members of the local Jewish Community are planning to stage a protest outside The Sugar Club on September 11th 2007 because of the nature of the talk you planned to stage here."

An email exchange between Morgan Stack of Ireland, and the club manager can be read here;

David Ray Griffin is not an anti-semite, nor does he equate 9/11 skepticism with a "Jewish" or "Zionist" conspiracy. So the protesters appear to be misinformed about the "nature of the talk", and now this has blown into the cancellation of an important lecture with very little time to secure and properly publicize a new venue.

Griffin is one of the authors featured in 9/11 and American Empire Vol. II: Christians, Jews and Muslims Speak Out. It should be made clear to the club manager and owners that this is a bad decision. Please write to the club manager and ask him to reconsider. The protesters could give be given free tickets, (as long as they don't disrupt), so they can see that their fears are unfounded. If they hold their questions till the Q&A session, I'll bet that Griffin will answer them.

A Few More Sites Flirting w/ 9-11 Twoof...

Perhaps we have hit a nerve with these "debunker" types.

A Few More Sites Flirting w/ 9-11 Twoof...

I don't know how many people outside the debunker community noticed this, but there seemed to be a recent small controlled demolition of mid-level to well known non-9-11-nutter blogs flirting with Twooferism - mostly on the left.

First, we have a profoundly idiotic post "just asking questions" making outlandish inferences and unsupported allegations at My Left Wing.

Then we have a heroically inept offering from The Dissident Voice; a self-dubbed "radical newsletter in the struggle for peace and justice."

Third, we have a gobsmackingly stupid call to action from The Muckraker Report, who apparently support all kinds of wingnuttery from both sides (think Dennis Kucinichitrons and Ron Paulbots).

9/11: Here it comes again

The last time I checked my stack of screeners, I did not see a single television special being produced to observe the sixth anniversary of the attacks on New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

That has not stopped another group of highly creative people from generating their own commemoration of the events of 9/11. I refer, of course, to conspiracy theorists.

This morning I found an email in my inbox from one Guy Smoot, who identified himself as a graduate student in classics at Rutgers University, arguing that 9/11 "was an inside job." I think it was the classics part that got me — that was my major in college, too, and I've always thought it helped develop my critical-thinking skills, which seem to be missing, or underutilized, among the 9/11 conspiracy crowd.

After establishing through a web search that Mr. Smoot probably was who he claimed to be, I read his letter more carefully and wrote a response.

Mr. Smoot writes:
