“Special interests have blocked transition to our renewable energy future.
Instead of moving heavily into renewable energies, fossil companies
choose to spread doubt about global warming, as tobacco companies
discredited the smoking-cancer link. Methods are sophisticated,
including funding to help shape school textbook discussions of
global warming. CEOs of fossil energy companies know what
they are doing and are aware of long-term consequences of
continued business as usual. In my opinion, these CEOs
should be tried for high crimes against humanity and nature."

Some Clarity From 9/11 First Responder John Feal

Over the last several months, certain "inconsequential people" have been bothering, and harassing John Feal because of his associations with this movement. They have pushed him to the point of saying things he doesn't necessarily mean. I have asked John for this clarification so there is no confusion as to where he stands. - Jon

To the 9/11 Truth Movement:

Let me start by saying thank you for the years of support, compassion and dedication for the 9/11 responders you have helped. With that being said, you have heard me say "I am not a truther," and I'm not. However, that does not mean I do not support the truth movement. To be a truther, I would have to be involved and committed 100% like I am in running my foundation which helps yesterday's heroes.

I have seen your cause grow immensely and you have gathered an army of great Americans who now share your beliefs. That deserves a big congratulations. I, however, have my reservations at this time to share my views any more then I already have. But, if you look at my track record, in interviews with Luke or Dylan, you will see my subtle hints. So yes, I strongly believe, as Jon Gold says, that elements within our government and the current administration are suspects for the crime of 9/11. Did they lie? Oh yes, I believe that 100%. There are sick and dying men and woman to prove that. My energies are focused and spent on aiding these brave souls.

We all seek the truth, and we all seek what is best for this country. However, we take different paths in searching and fighting for that common goal. I have publicly called out many elected officials on my terms, and have marched to my own beat. I have earned that right to do so. I lost half a foot, and spent 11 weeks in a hospital bed. So, they way I go about bringing out the truth, or disseminating information may not be the way others do, or the way you wish I did. But I will continue to do so, like you all continue to go about your course of actions.

Whether we agree or disagree, that is totally irrelevant. As with any relationship, we must learn that we will not all agree on everything, and in order for that relationship too last, we must learn that the closest thing to a perfect relationship, even with our disagreements, is to respect one another.

Failed Controlled Demolition

Even when the experts try to demolish a building without concealing it through controlled demolition, its not an exact science and a building has a tendency to fall to its side and even greater tendency with any damage to a side.

BBC 9/11 Conspiracy Files Producer's New Blog Posting

Mike Rudin, the producer of "The Conspiracy Files: 9/11 - The Third Tower," has just posted the following new entry on his blog. Check out the original posting to view the comments at the end.

Controversy and conspiracies II

Mike Rudin | 27 Jun 08, 04:40 PM

In my last blog earlier this month about the London bombings of 7 July 2005 there was a lot of concern expressed by people who say that when they question such events they're told they're "mad, crazy or in a state of shock". I haven't done this and won't.

What we will do is investigate an issue. For the new series we have looked for key proponents of alternative theories.

So for the new programme about World Trade Center Building 7 ("The Conspiracy Files: 9/11 - The Third Tower" for next Sunday) we have interviewed at length the architect Richard Gage, the former professor of physics Steven Jones and the writer of Loose Change Dylan Avery.

We have then taken their questions and arguments and tested them.

Big Oil pockets Iraq - All's fair in business and war. By Derrick Z. Jackson

Great article other than he neglected to mention the 1.2 million plus dead Iraqis in the first sentence and, of course, the 3,000+ 9/11 victims and all the sick and dying 9/11 first responders, Big Oil and empire's initial collateral damage. -- Betsy

It took five years, the deaths of 4,100 U.S. soldiers, and the wounding of 30,000 more to make Iraq safe for Exxon.

It is the inescapable open question since the reasons given by President Bush for the invasion and occupation did not exist - neither the weapons of mass destruction nor Saddam Hussein's ties to al-Qaeda and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Actress Mia Farrow promotes BLACKWATER

Activists turn to Blackwater for Darfur security

By Harvey Morris at the United Nations

Published: June 19 2008 03:00

Mia Farrow, the actress and activist, has asked Blackwater, the US private security company active in Iraq, for help in Darfur after becoming frustrated by the stalled deployment of a United Nations peacekeeping force.

Ms Farrow said she had approached Erik Prince, founder and owner of Blackwater, to discuss whether a military role was either feasible or desirable.

She acknowledged that many people might have reservations about Blackwater being involved in Darfur - the company's men were involved in the fatal shooting of 17 Iraqi civilians last September - but said the threat of violence to refugees meant all options had to be explored.

"The people in the camps would say 'we don't care whether it's Blackwater, any-water, as long as they help us'," she told the Financial Times.

Mr Prince hasraised the possibility of a role in Darfur for security companies.

Welcome Home, Soldier: Now Shut Up By Paul Rockwell

"Moral courage is harder. It requires the bearer to walk away from the warm embrace of comradeship and denounce the myth of war as a fraud, to name it as an enterprise of death and immorality, to condemn himself, and those around him, as killers. It requires the bearer to become an outcast. There are times when taking a moral stance, perhaps the highest form of patriotism, means facing down the community, even the nation.”

" . . . only the truth can heal."

It Was Oil, All Along By Bill Moyers and Michael Winship June 27, 2008

It Was Oil, All Along
http://www.consortiumnews.com/2008/062708b.html

"The political analyst Kevin Phillips says America has become little more than an "energy protection force," doing anything to gain access to expensive fuel without regard to the lives of others or the earth itself."

By Bill Moyers and Michael Winship
June 27, 2008

Oh, no, they told us, Iraq isn't a war about oil. That's cynical and simplistic, they said. It's about terror and al Qaeda and toppling a dictator and spreading democracy and protecting ourselves from weapons of mass destruction.

But one by one, these concocted rationales went up in smoke, fire and ashes. And now the bottom line turns out to be....the bottom line. It is about oil.

Alan Greenspan said so last fall. The former chairman of the Federal Reserve, safely out of office, confessed in his memoir, “…Everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil.”

He elaborated in an interview with the Washington Post's Bob Woodward, "If Saddam Hussein had been head of Iraq and there was no oil under those sands, our response to him would not have been as strong as it was in the first Gulf War."

Ex-Army scientist to get $5.8M in anthrax lawsuit

"Our government failed us, not only by failing to catch the anthrax mailers but by seeking to conceal that failure," Hatfill's lawyers said in a statement. "Our government did this by leaking gossip, speculation, and misinformation to a handful of credulous reporters."

By MATT APUZZO, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - A former Army scientist who was named as a person of interest in the 2001 anthrax attacks will receive $5.8 million to settle his lawsuit against the Justice Department. Steven Hatfill claimed the Justice Department violated his privacy rights by speaking with reporters about the case.

Settlement documents were filed in federal court Friday. Both sides have agreed to the deal, according to the documents, and as soon as they are signed, the case will be dismissed.

The deal requires the Justice Department to pay $2.825 million up front and buy Hatfill a $3 million annuity that will pay him $150,000 each year for 20 years.
