A career Army officer who survived the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, claims that no evacuation was ordered inside the Pentagon, despite flight controllers calling in warnings of approaching hijacked aircraft nearly 20 minutes before the building was struck.

According to a timeline of the attacks, the Federal Aviation Administration notified NORAD that American Airlines Flight 77 had been hijacked at 9:24 a.m. The Pentagon was not struck until 9:43 a.m.

On behalf of retired Army officer April Gallop, California attorney William Veale has filed a civil suit against former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Vice President Dick Cheney and former US Air Force General Richard Myers, who was acting chairman of the joint chiefs on 9/11. It alleges they engaged in conspiracy to facilitate the terrorist attacks by not warning those inside the Pentagon, contributing to injuries she and her two-month-old son incurred.

Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley believes that not only did Vice President Dick Cheney "unambiguously" confess to a war crime during an ABC interview on Monday, but the US' future as a nation may depend on taking action.

Asked by MSNBC's Keith Olbermann whether Cheney had just confessed to a war crime on national television, Turley at first replied wryly, "It's an interesting question, isn't it? ... If someone commits a crime and everyone's around to see it and does nothing, is it still a crime?"

"It most certainly is a crime to participate, to create, to in many ways monitor a torture program," he added. "What [Cheney] is describing is most certainly and unambiguously a war crime."

During Monday's interview, Cheney was asked, "Did you authorize the tactics that were used against Khalid Sheikh Mohamed?" and replied, "I was aware of the program, certainly, and involved in helping get the process cleared."

Despite the facts, the vice-president still insists that Saddam Hussein could have produced weapons of mass destruction

In yet another attempt at revisionist history by the outgoing Bush administration, vice-president Dick Cheney, in an exclusive interview with ABC News, took exception to former presidential adviser Karl Rove's contention that the US would not have gone to war if available intelligence before the invasion had shown Iraq not to possess weapons of mass destruction. Cheney noted that the only thing the US got wrong on Iraq was that there were no stockpiles of WMD at the time of the 2003 invasion. "What they found was that Saddam Hussein still had the capability to produce weapons of mass destruction. He had the technology, he had the people, he had the basic feed stock."

Bush prepares crisis briefings to aid Obama
Contingency plans created to help incoming president in case of global crisis

By Peter Baker

WASHINGTON - The White House has prepared more than a dozen contingency plans to help guide President-elect Barack Obama if an international crisis erupts in the opening days of his administration, part of an elaborate operation devised to smooth the first transition of power since Sept. 11, 2001.

The memorandums envision a variety of volatile possibilities, like a North Korean nuclear explosion, a cyberattack on American computer systems, a terrorist strike on United States facilities overseas or a fresh outbreak of instability in the Middle East, according to people briefed on them. Each then outlines options for Mr. Obama to consider.

Rep. Eshoo To Push For Fairness Doctrine

JERUSALEM - Israeli authorities on Monday expelled Richard Falk, a United Nations investigator of human rights in the Palestinian territories, saying he was unwelcome because of what the government has regarded as his hostile position toward Israel.

He was held at the airport and placed on the first available flight back to Geneva, his point of departure. A spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that Mr. Falk had been informed in advance that his entry would be barred. Mr. Falk was not immediately available for comment.

Mr. Falk, a professor of international law at Princeton, has the title of United Nations Human Rights Council special rapporteur for the Palestinian territories. He has long been criticized in Israel for what many Israelis say are unfair and unpalatable views.

Talking points: "Conspiracy Theory"

When people use the phrase "conspiracy theory" this is where I take the conversation...

Regarding the indiscriminate use of the phrase conspiracy theory ...

There are three conspiracy theories regards 9/11.

1) The government’s conspiracy theory was put forth in the hours and days after the attacks. This is the theory that 19 Arab men led by Osama Bin Laden from a remote location conspired together to hijack planes using box cutters, flew 2 planes into 3 buildings thereby knocking down three, managed to hit the Pentagon with more that 1 hour of lead time, etc.

2) The Independent researchers conspiracy theory. This is the theory resulting from the collective work of sincere, independent researchers, who have proved the government’s conspiracy theory false and in violation of the laws of physics and common sense. This leads you to the study of false flag attacks, etc.

3) The disinformation conspiracy theories. These are the theories put forth by agents of disinformation who are paid to put forth theories that are false and ridiculous. This is done in order to confuse people and to provide straw men that can then be highlighted and attacked.

James Risen: "9/11 was a fluke"

The "No Elephants" sign is funny and appropriate, but it seems, at the least, premature, without a full investigation, to come to the conclusion that 9/11 was "a failure of imagination"- when 70% of the families' questions were ignored and haven't been addressed by the MSM responsibly- unlike drunk driving celebs and missing white women- and more info has come out since, including info on what's being withheld:

9/11 survivors press for open trial

http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2008/12/15/911_survivors_press_for_open_trial/UPI-53031229371672/

NEW YORK, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Family members of Sept. 11, 2001, victims say they're hoping a New York judge will allow a public trial of their suit against United and American airlines.

The survivors are suing the airlines, the owner of Boston's Logan International Airport and security companies for negligence in connection with the hijackings of American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, which left Boston with armed hijackers on board who forced the planes to fly into the World Trade Center.

Judge Alvin Hellerstein of U.S. District Court in Manhattan was set to hear their arguments Monday that a trial should proceed. The families say it would expose to public view the "fatal mistakes" made by Logan Airport officials, The Boston Globe reported.

To date, nearly 3,000 families have agreed to more than $7 billion in private settlements that averaged $2 million each from the federal Victims Compensation Fund, but no Sept. 11 negligence suits have yet proceeded to trial, the newspaper said.
