Who Is the Mysterious CIA Interviewee?
One of the biggest pieces of news in the last couple of weeks has been the release of the CIA inspector general's report into the usefulness, or rather lack thereof of its torture techniques. It has been practically everywhere, but one thing that has been lost is that there were a whole bunch of supporting documents released from the inspector general’s investigation. One of these caught my eye in particular.
It is a memorandum drafted by an inspector general employee about a 16 July 2003 interview of a female CIA officer who appears to be very involved in the agency’s rendition and torture programme.
The officer said the agency judged the success of the programme by "the quality of the information" detainees provide. The report adds:
Right-wing bloggers distorting revelation that Van Jones wants a new 9/11 investigation
Right-wing blogs have picked up the story that Van Jones, President Obama's Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, is a signatory of the 2004 9/11 Truth Statement demanding a new investigation. The bloggers are completely distorting the stated aims of the 9/11 Truth Statement (and Jones' signature attached to the statement), by suggesting he believes the Bush Administration was behind 9/11. The actual statement says nothing of the sort, but demands the following actions:
"The Statement asks for four actions: an immediate investigation by New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, Congressional hearings, media analysis, and the formation of a truly independent citizens-based inquiry."
Protest march planned at the University of Wyoming
September 10, 2009 will be a sad day in history for many of us who attend the University of Wyoming. On this day, the newly named Cheney International Center will be dedicated with Cheney present at the ceremony. The building houses the offices for the International Studies program, Study Abroad, and International Programs at the University of Wyoming. The naming of the building has caused anger and controversy throughout the state of wyoming and on the university campus. As a student of the International Studies program, it is an insult that the name of the building implies that our program sponsors Cheney's political ideology and foreign policy. Furthermore, the decision to dedicate the building on September 10th is extremely arrogant on the part of the administration of the University of Wyoming, especially to those of us who know the truth of 9/11. The dedication is scheduled to take place on September 10th at 10:30am in front of the Cheney International Center. Students and activists in the community are planning a protest march to occur at the same time. For more information on the Cheney International Center check out these links

There are many theories concerning what happened at the Pentagon on 9/11/2001. The reason these theories exist is because those who should be able to answer our questions, REFUSE TO DO SO. That being said, some of the theories promoted are contradicted by information, and a common practice in the movement is to proclaim those contradictions as "fake" or "planted." In my opinion, it is irresponsible to proclaim something "fake" or "planted" simply because it doesn't coincide with what you THINK happened. Especially if there is no information to suggest that something is "fake" or "planted."
The most common theory is that Flight 77 did not hit the Pentagon. There IS information that exists that contradicts this theory. To my knowledge, here are those contradictions:

WASHINGTON - Widows and survivors of 9/11 are demanding President Obama stand with sick responders - and champion a stalled congressional measure to help them.
Named after NYPD Detective James Zadroga, who died from inhaling toxins, the bill would pay for the treatment of Ground Zero responders and workers sickened by their post-Sept. 11 service.
But it's been stuck in Congress over fears about its cost.
After eight years, the people who responded to the worst terror attacks on American soil are getting tired of waiting while more of them die, and have written Obama demanding he act.
"Their deaths have left a void in our families and have left us wondering why our country, and you, Mr. President, have not done more to help the heroes of 9/11," the letter says.
Premiere of "Zero - An Investigation into 9/11" on Austrian National Public TV
Good News for 9/11 Truth in the Austrian airwaves! Austrian national public broadcasting TV station ORF (the equvalent to BBC or german ARD) will be showing the premiere of the german version of "Zero - An Investigation into 9/11" by the Italian member of EU parliament Giulietto Chiesa.

This is indeed good news of a decent amount of courage by journalists working in a public broadcasting station. Unlike the BBC or german ARD the Austrians seem to have a bit more balls concerning that topic. I am not sure if they even financed the translation of the film, since it will be a german dubbed version - which will be a TV premiere. The german title: "9/11 - WAS STECKT WIRKLICH DAHINTER?" ("9/11 - What's really behind it?").

Today, the third day of our campaign, we will have a second day of fax-bombing the media with 9/11 Truth. The two media outlets in the crosshairs today are FOX News and Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman. And though FOX News is unlikely to cover material it deems critical of the Bush administration, that is all the more reason to bombard them with faxes telling them to uphold their duty to the American people. Of course Democracy Now! has not performed much better. They have discussed 9/11 Truth in the past, but so has FOX News, so that isn’t saying much. Moreover, both have been slow to address this new scientific paper, as have the media we targeted yesterday. Why? They have received the document. So have the politicians. They have had ample time to review it. How about some coverage? How about some comments from the politicians on the evidence contained in the document? Why won’t these media outlets ask these questions? Let’s send them a holy flood of faxes of telling them that we want answers to these questions, and we want them now. Please take five minutes to send a fax to FOX News and Democracy Now! demanding more coverage of this hugely important new revelation contained in the “Active Thermitic Material” paper. The following 7-minute video is one of the best I've ever seen in economics. It begins with Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke threatening an economic crash if Congress audits the Fed, moves to revelaing headlines of financial corporate profits after taxpayers socialized their gambling losses, then closes with Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner telling Congress that TARP is really a pertetual line of $700 billion credit for him to do with as he pleases as long as Bernanke agrees. That means, if Treasury can sell the troubled assets, that money returns to Geithner's private reserve to buy more assets. As you may know, Harvard's Elizabeth Warren, the chair for the Oversight Panel, reported to the Senate that Treasury is over-paying corporations by about 50%. That's a gift from us, the taxpayers, to the gambling-addicted plutocrats of $82 BILLION.

Naming of the International Center at the University of Wyoming - Cheney International Center
The administration at the University of Wyoming decided to name the
building that houses the International Studies program, International
Programs, and Study Abroad offices after Dick Cheney. The building is now
called the Cheney International Center. They will be having a dedication
ceremony on September 10, at 10:30am outside of the building in which
Cheney himself will be present. This is a travesty and an insult to those
of us who study foreign policy, human rights, and democracy. It is also
deeply disturbing that they would choose such a date for the dedication,
considering the large amount of controversy surrounding the truth and lies
of 9/11. I would like to invite people to protest this event and to make
it as public as possible.
