SAN LEANDRO — The Sept. 11 attacks spawned two wars and a host of security measures that changed the United States and the way many Americans think about the world.
Like other game-changing events in American history, the attacks also have spawned numerous conspiracy theories, which now thrive and grow in the dark corridors and back alleys of the Internet.
On Saturday, two of the most prominent Sept. 11 conspiracy theorists — Bay Area architect Richard Gage and Seattle firefighter Erik Lawyer — will be at the Bal Theatre to present what they think are holes in the official version of the events on that terrible day.
They think the Twin Towers and a third building were destroyed by explosives.

Ending unlawful US wars is similar to the work of the Civil Rights Movement: both are functions of transformative civic education inside and outside of classrooms, transformative media communication, and transformative political education and policy. Both are founded upon honor and enforcement of historical legislative victories. For Civil Rights, the 1868 14th Amendment to the US Constitution promised equal protection under the law and was willfully ignored.
Ending war is founded upon the 1945 legislative victory of the United Nations Charter (UN). War is illegal, except under a narrow legal definition of self-defense from another nation’s armed attack until the UN Security Council (UNSC) can act. I cite expert testimony to explain the "emperor has no clothes," and cite the law compared with the evidence for everyone to understand here. Obviously, the US is in violation.

"Good Morning America" anchor George Stephanopoulos interviewed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a day after Ahmadinejad spoke before the U.N.'s conference on the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty Monday, claiming his country's nuclear program was not a threat to global security, but the United States' is.

And the subject of the documentary, a man named Alan Parrot, one of the world's foremost falconers living in Iran, says he's spoken to Osama bin Laden several times since 2003. UQÀM (Montreal University) staff denounce 9/11 Truthers speech
So 700 people showed up to see Richard Gage and David Ray Griffin, and the response from the university is to try to change the rules so that 9/11 Truthers can't rent university rooms for their events.

Administrators at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM) say they will develop a formal policy for outside groups renting campus space for events after a controversial lecture about 9/11 drew fire by academic staff.
But the French-language university defended its right to have contentious speakers lecture on campus as part of free speech, saying it was appropriate to debate ideas, as long as events don't incite riots.
The Monday night lecture, hosted by World for 9/11 Truth, drew about 700 people who came to hear from two U.S. academics who deny the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks were carried out by terrorists.
The researchers – David Ray Griffin and Richard Gage – believe the U.S. government played a major role in orchestrating the deadly attacks on New York City's Twin Towers and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

ABC denies censoring the truth about 9/11
I recently wrote to several departments of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, requesting a response to six questions.
The letter read:
Dear ABC,
I am writing to respectfully request a response to the following questions:
1) Why does the ABC refuse to permit any discussion or debate about the controversy surrounding 9/11 and the diverse array of alternative commentaries on the subject?
2) Why does the ABC refuse to report on any of the independent investigations and publications that have been produced by individuals and citizen groups over the last nine years, regarding the events of 9/11?
3) Is there any formal or informal arrangement between the ABC and the Government or IC (Intelligence Community) with regard to reporting on the issues surrounding 9/11?
4) Is the ABC cognisant of the widespread, public scepticism, doubt and distrust about the official explanation for the events of 9/11?
5) Does the ABC believe it is immoral, inappropriate or impermissible to scrutinize or question the veracity of conventional wisdom and official dogma regarding momentous, historical events?
Swiss MYSTERIES magazine covers nanothermite-research, did interviews with Niels Harrit and german "debunker" Gunnar Ries
The Swiss MYSTERIES magazine, print edition 3/2010, covers the story of nanothermite and a dispute between Harrit and german "debunker" Dr. Gunnar Ries. Ries made up a blog back in early 2010 and made a bunch of claims why the study wasn't that good at all- and Prof. Harrit responded to his claims. Ries did suggest to do his own testing on the chips, if he get some.
MYSTERIES also asked swiss engineers who once claimed that WTC 7 was controlled demolition again on their standing.
The magazine costs 7,50€ and is now available in germany and switzerland!
Unfortunetaly there is no online version of the article yet, but they promised to deliver at least the interviews on their homepage soon!

Many thanks for the article detailing the appearance of David Ray Griffin and Richard Gage at three universities in Canada. I, like millions of others, am still waiting for a mainstream paper to fully attend to the details of what these men are saying. Lay out the evidence, please.
It does no good to offer comments from detractors that “they are imposters, liars and con-men.” Are they? Show us why this is so. We no longer react to serious questions based on emotion.
These men are arguing based on the evidence collected. Any detractor must counter the evidence, not simply smear their character. Of particular seriousness is the collapse of WTC 7 and the evidence of explosive thermitic material found in four separate dust samples collected from ground zero.
This peer-reviewed evidence has been available for one year already, and has been completely ignored by such “prestigious” and “reputable papers” as the Star, and refuted by no one. Why?
The Star could be the first mainstream paper in North America to do this, and would then salvage a reputation for courageous and real news-gathering. Millions look forward to this day.
