Watch Out?
Do we see here a smear method in the making? Here is the start of a recent Popular Mechanics article:
How Scientific Papers Get Retracted
In the scientific publishing world, peer reviewers are police officers in charge of catching bad research. Without these watchdogs, pseudoscience can masquerade as real science—and when they fail, as they sometimes do, the public has the most to lose.

US, UK, France, Italy walk out of UN nuclear conference in war propaganda theater to attack Iran

The “emperor has no clothes” fact is that the new face of unlawful global imperialism is the old face of 20th Century imperialists. As critical mass of public recognition builds, this time, the public will reject their loveless and mass-murderous empire-building.
The two paper-thin lies the 21st Century fascists use to promote unlawful war is that Iran threatens to destroy Israel and Iran has a nuclear weapons program. Both are quickly proven as lies.
As documented in the links here (and from other viewpoints here, here, and here), Iran’s President Ahmadinejad never physically threatened Israel and all inspections of Iran’s legal nuclear energy and medicine has verified all nuclear material is accounted for.

Laura Bush recalls 9/11 panic at White House
Former first lady details problems with communication system
TODAY books

In her memoir, "Spoken from the Heart," former first lady Laura Bush shares a detailed account of being in the White House during the terrorist attacks. An excerpt.
Goodness in the land of the living
Tuesday morning, September 11, was sunny and warm, the sky a brilliant cerulean blue. The day before, I had hosted a lunch for Janette Howard, wife of the Australian prime minister, while George met with her husband, John. My friends who had come for the National Book Festival had all flown home, and even George was gone, in Florida for a school visit. George H. W. Bush and Bar had spent the night, but they had already left at 7:00 a.m. to catch an early flight. And I had what I considered a big day planned. I was set to arrive at the Capitol at 9:15 to brief the Senate Education Committee, chaired by Edward M. Kennedy, on the findings of the early childhood development conference that I’d held in July. In the afternoon, we were hosting the entire Congress and their families for the annual Congressional Picnic. The South Lawn of the White House was already covered with picnic tables awaiting their fluttering cloths, and Tom Perini from Buffalo Gap, Texas, was setting up his chuckwagons. Our entertainment would be old-fashioned square dancing and Texas swing music by Ray Benson and his classic band, Asleep at the Wheel.

The President on Times Square: "But as Americans, and as a Nation, We Will Not Be Terrorized"
The White House website, 4 May 2010
Before I begin, I hope you don’t mind -- I indicated to Jim Owen that I want to give the American people a brief update on the investigation into the attempted terrorist attack in Times Square. A suspect is now in custody and is being questioned. The American people can be assured that the FBI and their partners in this process have all the tools and experience they need to learn everything we can. That includes what, if any, connection this individual has to terrorist groups. And it includes collecting critical intelligence as we work to disrupt any future attacks. Justice will be done, and we will continue to do everything in our power to protect the American people.

Face the Shadow First:
Seeking the Hidden Dimensions of American and Global Politics
Probe Beneath the Surface of the Obama Era at the “Understanding Deep Politics” Conference
in Santa Cruz, May 14-16
http://understandingdeeppolitics.org/news-article
By Byron Belitsos
Some say it began with the invasion of Iraq. Others, with the inauguration of George W. Bush for his second term. Many point to the day of 9/11. But those in the know—including ten distinguished speakers headlining the “Understanding Deep Politics” Conference in Santa Cruz this May 14-16—trace the era of deep politics further back: some to JFK’s assassination; others, to the aftermath of World War II. And a few speakers in Santa Cruz will stretch us back to Hitler, Lenin, Weishaupt, or Machiavelli, from there to ancient secret societies, and even back to the dawn of human governance itself—in the belief that conscious political deception is an inescapable feature of human nature. But all agree on the general definition of deep politics: It refers to government in which two dimensions of action always coexist: overt and covert, or benign and utterly ruthless.

Just a Thank You Note
This past Monday, I had the great privilege, along with a spectator-filled room in Montreal, to attend Richard Gage and David Ray Griffin's presentations.
Even if I have been following on a daily basis for the past few years all the News available regarding 9/11, I still learned a few new things from these very efficient speakers. Which just goes to show how important work they are both doing, investigating and constantly reporting new developments regarding the events. They are, truly, OUR mainstream media.
The evening started out with a great introduction where the Maître D' asked the Radio-Canada crew (french equivalent to CBC) reporting the event to stay for the evening, instead of leaving 10 minutes into the first presentation... which they did anyway, of course.
Then DRG stepped up to the plate and delivered another of his precise and fact filed presentation about the legality of the wars going on and giving us an interesting glance at his next book.

UQÀM staff denounce 9/11 Truthers speech
Last Updated: Tuesday, May 4, 2010 | 11:56 AM ET Comments1Recommend10
CBC NewsAdministrators at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM) say they will develop a formal policy for outside groups renting campus space for events after a controversial lecture about 9/11 drew fire by academic staff.
But the French-language university defended its right to have contentious speakers lecture on campus as part of free speech, saying it was appropriate to debate ideas, as long as events don't incite riots.
The Monday night lecture, hosted by World for 9/11 Truth, drew about 700 people who came to hear from two U.S. academics who deny the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks were carried out by terrorists.
The researchers – David Ray Griffin and Richard Gage – believe the U.S. government played a major role in orchestrating the deadly attacks on New York City's Twin Towers and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
Griffin and Gage are lobbying for an independent inquiry into the attacks, which killed 3,000 people. Their theories – part of the self-titled Truthers movement that formed after Sept. 11 – have been repeatedly discounted by scientists and civil engineering experts.
Griffin is giving a second lecture on the same topic at UQÀM on Tuesday night.
U.S. experts at UQÀM upsetSome professors at the school argue conspiracy theories have no place at UQÀM.
