NBC has done a lot to rehabilitate former President George W. Bush's image this week. Now filmmaker Michael Moore is offering a way to restore some balance to the network by allowing them to air his documentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, for free.
NBC gave the former president an hour-long platform during primetime to push his new book Decision Points. They played clips of the interview on The Today Show several mornings in a row. On Wednesday, NBC's Matt Lauer did a live interview with Bush on The Today Show.
In his book, Bush goes as far as to compare Michael Moore to Osama bin Laden.
Bush recalled that bin Laden released a videotape just days before the 2004 election mocking his response to 9/11. The former president compared it to something Moore had done in the movie Fahrenheit 9/11.
"It sounded like he was plagiarizing Michael Moore," Bush wrote.

Detonations in this new 9/11 video? You're the judge
Recently, the International Center for 9/11 Studies has released a new set of videos, kept before by the NIST and formerly possessed by the FBI.
In one of them, some detonations seem to be heard during the collapse of the South Tower. One witness even spoke about "explosions" at the end of the video.

Gawker Trashes "Truthers"

Reporting on Jon Stewart's executive producer Rory Albanese being arrested after punching a We Are Change activist in the face, trendy celebrity gossip site Gawker refers to the punched activist as a "typical Truther asshole". The rest of the entry is the usual insipid hate-inspiring trash you might expect from such an uninformed source, with commenters joining in with the likes of "I think it should be completely legal to punch or otherwise assault a 9/11 Truther. And I'm not joking."
Gawker exhibits a hint of a clue when it points out that the incident has been completely unreported in the media: "Pretty amazing, especially given the easy joke to be made by juxtaposing Albanese's arrest with Jon Stewart's huge rally calling on everyone to be nice to each other." Indeed. It should be noted that WAC's ham-fisted confrontation of Stewart and company was met with heavy criticism from many in the 9/11 truth movement. Has sanity been restored yet?
