PETER'S NEW YORK, Thursday, November 18, 2010--The jury verdict in the Ahmed Ghailani "terrorism" case yesterday signals a broad victory for the Administration of President Barack Obama, which has consistently championed the use of civilian courts to try the alleged crimes of Guantanamo detainees. Many, if not most or even all of the detainees rounded up in the wake of September 11, 2001 and accused of various offenses have been subjected to torture during their long confinements.
Think tank: 92% of Afghans never heard of 9/11

Fewer than one in 10 Afghans are aware of the 9/11 attacks and their precipitation of the war in Afghanistan, says a study from an international think tank.
A report (PDF) from the International Council on Security and Development (ICOS) shows that 92 percent of those surveyed had never heard of the coordinated multiple attacks on US soil on September 11, 2001. It also shows that four in 10 Afghans believe the US is on their soil in order to "destroy Islam or occupy Afghanistan."
To be sure, the survey can't claim to be definitive: It only canvassed men, and relied primarily on respondents from Helmand and Kandahar, the two most war-torn provinces in the country. But the results nonetheless show that Western forces fighting insurgents in Afghanistan have largely failed to connect with the local population.
“We need to explain to the Afghan people why we are here, and both show and convince them that their future is better with us than with the Taliban,” ICOS lead field researcher Norine MacDonald said in a statement.

NEW YORK — More than 10,000 workers exposed to the tons of toxic dust that blanketed ground zero after the World Trade Center fell have ended their bruising legal fight with New York City and joined a settlement worth at least $625 million, officials said Friday.
The deal will resolve an overwhelming majority of the lawsuits over the city's failure to provide protective equipment to the army of construction workers, police officers and firefighters who spent months clearing and sifting rubble after Sept. 11.
Among the thousands who sued, claiming that soot at the site got into their lungs and made them sick, more than 95 percent eligible for the settlement agreed to take the offer. Only 520 said no or failed to respond.
City officials and lawyers for the workers said they welcomed a resolution to a case that had pitted New York and a long list of demolition companies against the very men and women who helped lower Manhattan recover.
"This settlement is a fair and just resolution of these claims, protecting those who came to the aid of this City when we needed it most," Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a statement.

The use of ‘war-games’ is common in planning military moves, and may well explain, for example, why the US military is not currently mired in an Iran campaign. The use of ‘contingency planning’ is likewise common in business and government.
With the current spate of interest in the Fox News channel interview by Geraldo of Bob McIlvaine and Tony Szamboti, some in 9-11 truth-seeking circles sense a need for rigorous think-tank planning -- in the now far more-likely case of a general awareness, spreading suddenly and widely, regarding evident US government complicity and subsequent cover-up in the 9-11-01 attacks.

This quote shows how serious the 9-11 truth-awareness issue may be. Here is one anonymous person’s attempt at game-planning the outcome of such awareness in the general public Granted, a single person’s attempt, such as this, may look slip-shod, or as though a mere exercise in creative writing. While it may provoke interest, one person’s projections can only provide us with a crude game-planning prediction, since it is subject to the limits of that one individual’s expertise in diverse disciplines such as sociology, mass psychology, economics, politics, and related fields. One hopes this one attempt can spur better-constructed versions of the same, involving well-informed think-tank expertise from many relevant areas.

It is common knowledge now that the Gulf of Tonkin incident was a false flag operation to get the USA in to war with North Vietnam. Robert McNamara has come out publicly to acknowledge that the incident never happened. Over 30000 troops died in the Vietnam War. But where are the protesters now? Who is calling for a new investigation? Why isn't McNamara being charged for participating in a conspiracy that caused so many deaths? The public does not care.
There is evidence that The Maine was a false flag op to get us in to war with Spain. But there are no calls for a new investigation now. It has been so long. No one cares any more. We are not giving Puerto Rico back to Spain.
So there seems to be a time period, about 20 or 30 years, when the new generation hears about incidents in a history book or web site, and is apathethic about false flag operations. They may be interesting, but not motivating, to the public.
It has been almost 10 years since 9/11/2001, and it is harder to get people to care about what happened. It has been almost 7 since the start of a war to find weapons of mass destruction that did not exist. Where are the protesters now?

Abstract: While it is recognized that through the use of meta-analysis and randomized controlled trials the standard of excellence in evidenced-based medicine (EBM) stands alone on a pinnacle, there is nonetheless an evidence-based methodology that can be applied across the board in other decision-making areas. Though research into the events of 9/11 has not yet attained the rigor achieved by EBM, it is still possible to rank the research in this field according to evidence-based principles. This article explains the principles, points to sources that exemplify them, and argues the ethical obligation of librarians and journalists to advance those sources .
Nine-eleven has done more to change the world’s political landscape than any other event since World War II.
And 9/11 is far from over: it triggered what Western leaders have declared an “endless” or “generational” war on terror. Even President Obama stated in March 2009 that the Afghan-Pakistan border region “has become the most dangerous place in the world” for the American people.[1]
Increasingly, however, the official account of its cause has come under rigorous scientific scrutiny and doubt. In Europe, strong media coverage followed the unchallenged 2009 discovery of high-tech military explosives in the World Trade Center dust.[2]

Here in France as you have probably seen on your televisions lately, we have been strongly fighting for our retirement rights, so hardly won by our parents ( as we say "par la lutte" !) . Of course, no one is talking about the robots, computers and system experts which are slowly, stealing our jobs but not giving us a buying power to buy their robot fabricated products ! Not paying retirement payments for us !
Except us in France ( I am in the Robot since 1989 and you cannot see me like the hundred of thousands of people who have taken my robot in photo at different manifestations in France and Europe )

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, an engineering student, attempted to mix, then detonate a bomb as Northwest Flight 253 from Amsterdam made its descent to Detroit's Metropolitan Airport. Just after September 11th 2001, many governments began investigations into possible insider trading related to the terrorist attacks of that day. Such investigations were initiated by the governments of Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Monte Carlo, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United States, and others. Although the investigators were clearly concerned about insider trading, and considerable evidence did exist, none of the investigations resulted in a single indictment. That’s because the people identified as having been involved in the suspicious trades were seen as unlikely to have been associated with those alleged to have committed the 9/11 crimes.
This is an example of the circular logic often used by those who created the official explanations for 9/11. The reasoning goes like this: if we assume that we know who the perpetrators were (i.e. the popular version of “al Qaeda”) and those who were involved in the trades did not appear to be connected to those assumed perpetrators, then insider trading did not occur.
