Shareholder Proposal: Insurer to Investigate 9/11

Allianz Group published a shareholder proposal on April 20th faulting management for ignoring signs of insurance fraud on 9/11/2001. Allianz carried a significant portion of the insurance coverage on the WTC, and stands to pay a corresponding portion of the $3.5 billion payout currently being litigated in New York. In his proposal, shareholder John Leonard, a California native and a publisher of books on 9/11, pointed to reports that building WTC 7 apparently collapsed by demolition, and for no plausible reason related to the 9/11 attacks. Management replied that it relied on official US government reports which made no mention of such evidence.

Press freedom in Australia has deteriorated since September 11, and is threatening the nation's democratic values, a new report says.

The report, Turning up the Heat: The Decline of Press Freedom in Australia 2001-2005, said the new legislation and its strict enforcement has had a serious impact on the freedom of all Australians, including journalists. The report's co-author, MEAA federal secretary Christopher Warren, said the balance had tipped too heavily in favour of security investigators and law enforcement agencies. "We should not accept that press freedom and human rights should be sacrificed to fear,"

it should be quite telling to see who actually covers this 9/11 related presentation.. there are tons of ways to show that the 9/11 commission was neither independent nor thorough, perhaps Griffin breaking the silence will help our press realize that we want the truth, and some of us are still paying attention..

Two 9/11 hijackers used college computers

Two of the Sept. 11 hijackers used a public-access computer at a New Jersey college library to buy tickets for the plane they seized and crashed into the Pentagon, a federal prosecutor said.

Wainstein said the hijackers used the computers four times in August 2001, including once on Aug. 30 to check on reservations that had been made for Sept. 11. He said the Internet accounts used were registered to hijackers Nawaf Alhamzi and Khalid Almihdhar.
