Welcome to the Mary Ferrell Foundation

Question - what did the 9/11 Commission learn from the Warren Commission?
Answer - don't release 26 accompanying volumes of evidence.

More than four decades ago, those 26 volumes, at odds with much of the Warren Report, set off a handful of researchers on parallel journeys to find the truth behind the JFK Assassination, trying to succeed where they believed their government had failed them.

It is because of those researchers that I'm writing this today. I'm the Executive Director of the Mary Ferrell Foundation, and want to take this opportunity to give a brief introduction to the work of the Foundation.

The MFF is a non-profit group dedicated to the exploration of the deeper stories behind the national tragedies and crises that shape our lives. Our main topics are the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King. Our goal is to not only shed light on these tragedies, but place them in a modern context, showing how the events of the past irrevocably effect our present and future.

The focal point of the MFF site is our vast document archive, currently containing over one million pages of once-classified documents, many declassified as recently as the late 1990s. Ranging from foreign policy memos concerning the Vietnam War and President Kennedy's implementation of a withdrawal plan before his death, the secret war on Castro, and the records of the Church Committee, which in the 1970s, laid bare the dirty laundry of the intelligence agencies and revealed to the public the CIA-Mafia plots to murder Fidel Castro.

One of the most damning revelations to come out in the massive 90's declassification was the Operation Northwoods. Refused by Kennedy, these papers revealed planning by the JCS for faked and actual terrorist actions against the U.S. to be conducted by the U.S., but in a such a way as to blame them on Cuba. These attacks would provide a pretext for an all-out military invasion of Cuba, and the overthrow of Fidel Castro. What is past truly is prologue.

Over the next few months, I'll post more links to new documents in our archive, as well as featured books, essays, and more. Thanks again to the editors for giving me the chance to contribute to this blog, and I hope you all get a chance to check out the Foundation's website for yourself at www.maryferrell.org

Two more military units assigned domestic duty by 2010, says Northcom commander; total now 4,700 troops

Elite combat brigade for Homeland Security missions raises ire of ACLU

By Erin Rosa 11/2/08 1:45 PM

In the next three years the military plans to activate and train an estimated 4,700 service members for specialized domestic operations, according to Air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, commander of U.S. Northern Command, which was created in 2002 for homeland defense missions.

The comments, made at the annual National Homeland Defense and Security Symposium in Colorado Springs last week, reveal more details about the recent stationing of active military personnel inside United States borders for what officials say is a mission centering around responding to catastrophic emergencies.

In September the Army Times reported that the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team — a unit based in Fort Stewart, Ga., that most recently spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle gear — would be put under the control of Northern Command, located on Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.

William Rodriguez introduces Jermaine Jackson to 9/11 Truth

Photobucket

While in London last week, William Rodriguez met Jermaine Jackson and had a long discussion with him about 9/11. He also gave Jackson an advance copy of 'Last Man Out', the documentary that Rodriguez has been gathering footage and interviews for over the past couple of years. Hopefully, the DVD will be available for everyone to see in the near future. Rodriguez is in the UK doing presentations, and will try to meet with Jackson again in December, in Dubai.

Saudi Tracking of 9/11 Hijackers - Additions to the 9/11 Timeline as of November 2, 2008

Several entries have been added to the 9/11 Timeline in the past fortnight, in particular concerning tracking of the 9/11 hijackers by Saudi authorities. Nawaf Alhazmi obtained a new passport in Saudi Arabia in March 1999. The passport contained an indicator the Saudi authorities used to track his movements. Alhazmi obtained a US visa with the passport and entered the US with it. Another hijacker, Ahmed Alhaznawi, possibly obtained a passport with the same indicator before November 2000 and then left Saudi Arabia. It has also been suggested that a third hijacker, Ahmed Alnami, had a similar indicator in his passport.

Watch the video, and follow their directions to submit your 9/11 Truth (or whatever) questions.

Although it may be unlikely that they will entertain 9/11 Truth questions, it's important for them to understand what we know and what questions we have.

On October 4, 2008, Republican Vice-Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin made an appearance in Southern California. Stewart Howe, of WeAreChangeLA, was on hand to bring the message of 9/11 truth peacefully to the event.

Has Troy Sexton crossed the line yet?

I rarely visit the Screw Loose Change blog for reasons I'm sure would be obvious to most. However, after following up on a comment here which linked to SLC, I took a moment to skim the front page. On October 26th, Pat Curley posted a link to a video made by the notorious Troy Sexton, aka AlexJonesWrongAgain, of Hurricane, West Virginia. Troy had posted a video on October 26th of his trip to the big city of Cincinnati, OH for Richard Gage's recent presentation there. I assume that Troy notified Curley soon after posting his video since Curley's post was made the very same day. Curley thought highly enough of Troy's pitifully juvenile antics to consider it "good entertainment value," worthy of a blog post at SLC.
