A few days ago in a thread called 9/11 ON TRIAL Article in the Daily Mail I made brief reference to an article on 9/11 being in a publication called the 'Daily Mail'.

At the time I didn't realize that the Daily Mail is a very large publication in the UK. According to a user here this is one of the top newspapers in the UK, and after getting the scans of the article today I have to say it is quite refreshing to see such major coverage!

I just noticed that Jim Hoffman from 911research.wtc7.net has released a major rebuttal to the recent NIST report on the collapses of WTC1 and WTC2.

You can find this rebuttal at the link below. The rebuttal is quite lengthy in scope and will take some time to peruse, but I think it is great to see such an in-depth response to the NIST report.

Bush & Co: Still Stonewalling on 9/11
The folks at thinkprogress.org have written up an article on the 9/11 Commission.

It looks like the Bush administration is still playing fast and loose with the 9/11 Commission and the public’s right to know.

Recall just a few of the tactics we’ve already seen:

First, the administration argued that an independent inquiry was simply a bad idea (“I think it’s the wrong way to go,” said Cheney). Then, when the bipartisan Commission was formed, the White House dragged its feet in every way possible. It opposed handing over daily intelligence briefings (”Those are very sensitive documents,” said Bush). It tried to bar Condoleeza Rice from testifying (”Historically, White House staffers do not testify before legislative bodies,” claimed Scott McClellan). It rejected the Commission’s request for an extension (”We expect they will be able to meet that deadline,” said spokeswoman Erin Healy). It even set time limits on how long Bush could testify (“We have discussed with the Commission what we believe is a reasonable period of time,” intoned McClellan).

9/11 ON TRIAL
This is a rather lengthy article briefly covering a range of topics from Operation Northwoods, the 'collapses' of the two towers, the confiscated pentagon tapes, LIHOP vs MIHOP, etc. It offers a rather specific 'conspiracy theory' which a lot of people will disagree with, but I felt the article was worth mentioning.

9/11 CitizensWatch Co-founder Confronts Commissioner over 9/11 Report's Omission of Pakistani Wire Transfers to Atta

Last week live on C-SPAN Kyle F. Hence, Co-founder of 9/11 CitizensWatch, confronted the 9/11 Commission, its Vice-Chair Lee Hamilton and Ambassadors Jones and Ross regarding the omission from the 9/11 Report details of the ISI (Lt. Gen Mahmoud Ahmad) approved wire transfers to purported lead hijacker Atta via a bank in Dubai to two banks in Florida just prior to the attacks of 9/11.

I will be out of pocket this weekend, so if you come across any 9/11 related alternative news while I am out please feel free to post it.

Four Years After 9/11, FDNY Will Release Remaining EMS Recordings

Nearly four years after the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center, the New York City Fire Department will release its remaining audio recordings made by emergency dispatchers on the day of the attacks.

The FDNY is releasing the recordings on the order of the New York State Court of Appeals, after the New York Times and several 9/11 families brought suit to gain access to the materials under the state's Freedom of Information Law.

ACLU Urges Supreme Court to Review Case of FBI Whistleblower

The American Civil Liberties Union today urged the U.S. Supreme Court to review a lower court's dismissal of the case of Sibel Edmonds, a former FBI translator who was fired in retaliation for reporting security breaches and possible espionage within the Bureau. Lower courts dismissed the case when former Attorney General John Ashcroft invoked the rarely used "state secrets" privilege.

EDIT: This is definitely big news. While it is not directly related to 9/11, it does show proof to larger scale corruption in the FBI which is allowed to exist while the whistleblowers are fired and punished. Definitely worth the read, albeit a very long one.
