The Role of Air Traffic Control - Long Island, NY

Here's an interesting event coming up at Long Island's Cradle of Aviation Museum. I wonder it this might present an opportunity to get some more truth vibes out to the general population:

September 11, 2001

Taking Control of the Skies...
The Role of Air Traffic Control

Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 7:30pm
Admission: $10.00 ($8.00 for museum members)
Special VIP Buffet Dinner at 6:00 PM $25.00

Join us on Thursday, September 7th at 7:30 pm for a very special evening where members of New York Tracon, the region’s air traffic control center will recall the role that they played in the aftermath of September 11th.
Hear first hand about the crucial decisions made immediately after the second plane hit the World Trade Center and how quick thinking individuals were able to secure the air space. Their actions were crucial in the safe landing of over 4000 airplanes.

It’s a story rarely told and one that highlights the important role air traffic controllers play everyday.

Seating is limited and reservations are required.
