Just more random links and rants

From 9-11 to Fallujah, just another day

since today was the anniversary of pearl harbor there were alot of links.. so here are a few.. including some which show quite well that pearl harbor wasn't as much of a surprise as it was innevidible.. in fact there are so many mentions of how an attack against us is what we needed (and in some cases wanted) that the idea it was a complete surprise isn't exactly the truth:

Roosevelt:

Sooner or later the Japanese will commit an overt act against the United States and the nation will be willing to enter the war

ARMY BOARD, 1944:

"...everything that the Japanese were planning to do was known to the United States..."

the fact that PNAC said we needed a new Pearl Harbor to do what they wanted militarily has a completely different context when you beleive Pearl Harbor was allowed to happen. Pearl Harbor has some very eerie connections with the active failures on 9/11 and the months leading up to it..

The National Security Archive is now joining in the fight to get their hands on information related to Cheney's energy task force meetings.. in the past these things were available to congress to review, a sort of checks and balances.. the arguement here is that there is a reason Cheney refuses to release the information from these meetings, which contained enron and many of the energy companies involved in the pipeline deals in the middle east.. it is speculated that military action was discussed to help secure the trans-afghan pipeline which until 9/11 was impossible due to the taliban and the bridas corporation.. its obvious the idea of checks and balances is pretty much nonexistant right now.. we are lucky if we even hear about what goes on in the government day to day.. although congress has even tried sueing to get this information it still has remained a tightly held secret..
