Fitzgerald Investigation Researching Pre-9/11 Put Options?

Tenet under investigation for pre-9/11 AA put options?

Tom Heneghen reports to Cloak & Dagger Internet Radio (late of 50,000-watt blowtorch CFMJ-AM) that a trusted "source close to the Fitzgerald investigation" says the independent prosecutor is looking into former CIA Director George Tenet's role in pre-9/11 put options placed on American Airlines.

Previous editions of Cloak & Dagger reported that the special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has taken his investigation beyond who named Valerie Plame as a CIA agent into who frauded up claims that Saddam Hussien was seeking yellowcake uranium and, ultimately, the 9/11 scam.

C&D correspondent Tom Heneghen reported on the July 17 show that Fitzgerald is looking into insider trading on airline stocks before 9/11. Heneghen reports that over the three trading days before 9/11 on the Chicago Board of Options 4,516 put options (bets the price would tank) were placed on American Airlines stock vs only 748 call options (bets the price would go up).

According to C&D, Fitzgerald is investigating Tenet's role in connection to Buzzy Krongard, a former No. 3 at the CIA, and that man's relation to the 2,157 airline options placed through Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter, located on the 22d floor of the WTC.

The put options prior to 9/11 are well known, and well documented. While the massive shortselling of American and United stock in the week before 9/11 might seem to exhibit 9/11 prior knowledge, the '9/11 Commission' did not bother to follow the trail.

special thanks to total411.info for the heads up!

I have no way of knowing

I have no way of knowing whether or not this is true, but I seriously doubt it. Of course, I hope it is true, but the outing of Valerie Plame had nothing to do with the 911 put options. Furthermore, Fitzgerald is essentially protecting the CIA (Plame) from a politician (Bush/Rove) - a successful prosecution (which I certainly hope he gets) will certainly inhibit other politicians from trying a stunt like this in the future. But if Fitzgerald goes after Tenet or Krongard successfully, obviously the reputation of the CIA will take an enormous hit. Since it was the CIA itself which insisted on an investigation of the Plame affair, it seems unlikely to me that this prosecution would risk harming the CIA's reputation.
Of course, the CIA is not a monolithic organization, and if Fitgerald is an honest man who represents an honest subgroup of CIA agents who are angry/disgusted/apalled at both the politicization of the CIA as well as the role people inside our own governemnt played in 911 (probably including some CIA, as well, if reports of CIA visitng Bin Laden in the hospital just before 911 are true), then this could get real interesting.

However, I'm not holding my breath. This may be just disinfo to distract attention from the fact that NY Attorney General Eliot Sptizer was asked to investigate 911, hasn't done so, and probably never will.

it should go without saying

it should go without saying that each article posted here should be taken with a grain of salt, some bigger than others.

i obviously cannot vouch for whether or not Fitzgerald's investigation is covering the put options prior to 9/11, but i thought this was definately worth mentioning, and i hope that this investigation has somehow reached this important 9/11 related issue.

yeah, i dont see the

yeah, i dont see the connection from a CIA outing to previous CIA officials possible involvement in 9/11 put options.. not unless fitzgerald just used that as a starting point..

ah well, i felt it was at least worth mentioning, we will wait and see.

I'm listening to the

I'm listening to the broadcast... this is nothing we didn't know... He says that George Tenet is under investigation for his affiliation with A.B. "Buzzy" Krongard. Mr. Krongard is the current Executive Director at the CIA, and used to be the CEO of A.B. Brown, which was purchased by Deutsche Bank in 1997. A.B. Brown was responsible for the purchases of those Put Options. Also Citigroup, which currently has on its' board, John Deutsche, the former CIA Director, made some put option purchases. All prior to 9/11. On 9/12, Mayo Shattuck, the CEO of A.B. Brown then, resigned.
