9/11 conspiracy DVD sent to French media

PARIS, France (UPI) -- Hundreds of French reporters have received copies of a DVD claiming the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks were fabricated by the Bush administration.

Titled "Confronting the Evidence," and posted from New York, the DVD claims that the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were a lie orchestrated by U.S. President George W. Bush.

The news was reported Friday in Le Figaro newspaper, whose reporters were among those who received copies of the DVD.

A magistrate`s office in the Paris suburb of Essonne has opened an inquiry into the matter.

This is hardly the first French 9/11 conspiracy theory. A book by French writer Thierry Meyssan made similar claims following the terrorist strike. Meyssan`s book sold more than 300,000 copies.

I can't tell if the inquiry is into where the videos came from, or into the events and information contained on the DVD. Hopefully the second of the two ;)
