Bush & Co: Still Stonewalling on 9/11
The folks at thinkprogress.org have written up an article on the 9/11 Commission.

It looks like the Bush administration is still playing fast and loose with the 9/11 Commission and the public’s right to know.

Recall just a few of the tactics we’ve already seen:

First, the administration argued that an independent inquiry was simply a bad idea (“I think it’s the wrong way to go,” said Cheney). Then, when the bipartisan Commission was formed, the White House dragged its feet in every way possible. It opposed handing over daily intelligence briefings (”Those are very sensitive documents,” said Bush). It tried to bar Condoleeza Rice from testifying (”Historically, White House staffers do not testify before legislative bodies,” claimed Scott McClellan). It rejected the Commission’s request for an extension (”We expect they will be able to meet that deadline,” said spokeswoman Erin Healy). It even set time limits on how long Bush could testify (“We have discussed with the Commission what we believe is a reasonable period of time,” intoned McClellan).

9/11 Group Says White House Has Not Provided Files

WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 - The White House has failed to turn over any of the information requested by the 10 members of the disbanded Sept. 11 commission in their renewed, unofficial investigation into whether the government is doing enough to prevent terrorist attacks on American soil, commission members said.

(Now I don't - and I'm sure most of your readers don't either - trust Keane and co, but this is interesting all the same).

err, obvioulsy not today's NYT - today being the 8th Aug. D'oh.

Occam's Razor: The most

Occam's Razor: The most obvious explanation is probably the right one.

The Cheney administration is stonewalling because THEY DID IT.

Are we at last at a point in these daily revelations where we can now consider the Bush administration COMPLICIT in these terror attacks?

THEY HAVE BENEFITTED NO ONE BUT THE ADMINISTRATION AND ITS CORPORATE CRONYS.

From 9/11 itself to date, these ARE ALL PLANNED BLACK BAG OPERATIONS INTENDED TO CREATE THE JUSTIFICATION FOR THE CURTAILING (DESTRUCTION) OF CIVIL LIBERTIES, THE UNLEASHING OF THE WAR MACHINE AND THE IMPOVERISHMENT AND DESTRUCTION OF THE MIDDLE CLASS.

See who these pricks are for yourselves:
