how about the real cause? sounds to me like they just decided to make Al-CIAduh the perps and used that justification to invade Iraq much like Wolfowitz declared, "For bureaucratic reasons, we settled on one issue, weapons of mass destruction (as justification for invading Iraq) because it was the one reason everyone could agree on."

The word Condi Sleaza used was "proximate", not "approximate" -- two different words with different meanings.
I'm not defending Ms. Sleaza, by any means, and the point is clear that they "decided" to blame Al Qaeda -- long before 9/11 to boot.
