A guy claims that one reason it is extremely difficult to make a cell phone call while in a plane is because the plane is very well insulated. So he conducted the following experiment:
"Try putting your cell phone in the microwave oven and calling it with your land line. I got no response. Dial your land line from your cell, activate the dialing sequence while inside the microwave and quickly close the door. Again, my other phone did NOT receive a call. My cell phone indicated a 'failed call attempt'."
I think he did this test in 2005. (Back on 9/11/01, I had a Motorola Star-TAC that routinely dropped normal ground calls. I never tried it in a plane. I doubt it would've worked.)

I've asked Fetzer these two questions, but I'm curious to hear what y'all think:
1) How could the FBI have confiscated the security tapes from the gas station and hotel near the Pentagon so quickly unless a) they had reconnoitered the area for cameras beforehand; and b) they were prepared to go out and get the tapes BEFORE the "attack" took place? This seems like clear evidence of foreknowledge to me.
2) Why haven't the cell phone logs been subpoenaed (or voluntarily produced) for the individuals who allegedly made calls from the hijacked flights? If they were indeed cell phone calls and not airphone calls, this would back up the government's conspiracy theory; if they don't exist, it leaves the question open as to whether they were ever made at all. Does anyone know if the 9/11 Commission report addressed this issue?

Ergo, for the aircraft to impact the ground floor of the Pentagon, Hanjour would have needed to have flown in with the engines buried in the Pentagon lawn. Some pilot.
At any rate, why is such ultra-low-level flight aerodynamically impossible? Because the reactive force of the hugely powerful downwash sheet, coupled with the compressibility effects of the tip vortices, simply will not allow the aircraft to get any lower to the ground than approximately one half the distance of its wingspan—until speed is drastically reduced, which, of course, is what happens during normal landings.
In other words, if this were a Boeing 757 as reported, the plane could not have been flown below about 60 feet above ground at 400 MPH. (Such a maneuver is entirely within the performance envelope of aircraft with high wing-loadings, such as ground-attack fighters, the B1-B bomber, and Cruise missiles—and the Global Hawk.)"

Could the public release of this tape cause the Flight 93 "official story" to be debunked?
If that is the case, will the prosecution fold their case instead of releasing the evidence?
I have many questions about the direction of this trial and the defense's use our research in bolstering their case.

The author, a pilot and aeronautical engineer, challenges any pilot in the world to do so in any large high-speed aircraft that has a relatively low wing-loading (such as a commercial jet). I.e., to fly the craft at 400 MPH, 20 feet above ground in a flat trajectory over a distance of one mile.
Why the stipulation of 20 feet and a mile? There were several street light poles located up to a mile away from the Pentagon that were snapped-off by the incoming aircraft; this suggests a low, flat trajectory during the final pre-impact approach phase. Further, it is known that the craft impacted the PentagonÂ’s ground floor. For purposes of reference: If a 757 were placed on the ground on its engine nacelles (I.e., gear retracted as in flight profile), its nose would be about fifteen feet above the ground! Ergo, for the aircraft to impact the ground floor of the Pentagon, Hanjour would have needed to have flown in with the engines buried in the Pentagon lawn. Some pilot.
At any rate, why is such ultra-low-level flight aerodynamically impossible? Because the reactive force of the hugely powerful downwash sheet, coupled with the compressibility effects of the tip vortices, simply will not allow the aircraft to get any lower to the ground than approximately one half the distance of its wingspan—until speed is drastically reduced, which, of course, is what happens during normal landings.
In other words, if this were a Boeing 757 as reported, the plane could not have been flown below about 60 feet above ground at 400 MPH. (Such a maneuver is entirely within the performance envelope of aircraft with high wing-loadings, such as ground-attack fighters, the B1-B bomber, and Cruise missiles—and the Global Hawk.)"

I'm assuming the prosecution needs to present this tape to support their case, since the jury knows it exists. But in all probability it contradicts the information that has been made public (cell phone calls, propaganda film, etc) because we know the flight was shot down and there are discrepancies in the the times of the crash (within a few minutes).
Could the public release of this tape cause the Flight 93 "official story" to be debunked?
If that is the case, will the prosecution fold their case instead of releasing the evidence?
I have many questions about the direction of this trial and the defense's use our research in bolstering their case.
If the prosecution can present every single victim of the attacks, then it would be completely legitimate to delve into the other elements of the attacks that killed the most people: the collapse of the towers.
