Scholars for 9/11 Truth Issue Press Release on Moussaoui Trial
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 22, 2006 -- The trial holding Zacarias Moussaoui responsible for the horrors of 9/11 has all the marks of a political charade, according to Scholars for 9/11 Truth, a society of experts devoted to exposing falsehoods and establishing truths about the events of that day. "Even the most basic elements of due process have been violated," according to James H. Fetzer, its founder and co-chair, "by failing to prove that the accused had anything to do with 9/11. What we are seeing here tends to substantiate Charlie Sheen's allegations."
ADVERTISEMENTFetzer insists there has been a clever ruse to confuse the jury by using a confession to one plot as though it were evidence of complicity in another. As The New York Times (April 27, 2005) reported, Moussaoui "confessed" to having been involved in a plot to fly a plane into the White House to free Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, who is serving a life sentence for terrorist acts. He denied that he was part of the 9/11 attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C.
A Judicial "Shell Game"
The mentally instable Moussaoui has now "confessed" that he and shoe-bomber Richard Reid were going to hijack a fifth aircraft and fly it into the White House, which was not the plot of which he was convicted. The Scholars believe government prosecutors have been playing a deceptive "shell game" by tying him to 9/11. Even the
FBI has expressed doubts about Moussaoui's new version of events, since Reid left a will naming Moussaoui as his beneficiary, which was very odd if they were going to participate in a suicide mission together.The government claims Moussaoui should be put to death for failing to report everything he knew about 9/11, which it claims would have saved lives. "This is blatantly unconstitutional," says 9/11 Truth Scholar Webster Tarpley. "Under the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution, nobody can be prosecuted for a failure to incriminate themselves.'"
"This entire trial has been a farce," says Fetzer, a professor of philosophy at the University of Minnesota. "Government prosecutors have contaminated witnesses, elicited testimony they cannot corroborate, and -- according to multiple reports -- even forced Moussaoui to wear a 'stun belt'. 50,000 volts should be enough to keep anyone from straying from the script," he said. "It is very difficult to imagine how testimony taken under duress is admissible."

Let me tell you a little something about divorce. It's something I happen to know A GREAT DEAL ABOUT.
My parents divorced when I was 5 years old. My mother waited for my father to go to work, and called a moving company, took EVERYTHING within the house, including myself, and my dog Cleopatra, and went left to her mother's house in Atlantic City. This was from Pennsylvania. My father came home, and his life was gone.
I spent the next 5-10 years of my life going in and out of courtrooms because my mother tried to milk my father for everything he had. And she almost succeeded. 25 years ago, my mother managed, through connections with a judge and my uncle, get my father to pay $600 a month in child support and alamony. That's $150 a week, 25 years ago. My father did NOT make a lot of money in those days. He was lucky to bring home $6000 a year. The reason he was given for having to pay so much is because he remarried, and his new wife's salary was included in his "total worth". That's not allowed, or wasn't at the time. I don't know if it is now. It wasn't allowed, and it still happened.
Anyway, my mother spent the next 15 years of my life telling me how horrible my father was, and how horrible his family was, and so on.
She was selfish, and vindictive beyond imagination.
She once had my father arrested.
I took a steak knife out of the cupboard, and used it to try and build an igloo outside. It was obviously snowing.
I left the knife outside. When the snow thawed, my father found it, and tried to return it to my mother (because he recognized it). My mother called the police, and had him arrested for attempting to murder her.
My father is not the murdering type.
Anyway, I haven't talked to her for almost 10 years.
I'm not defending Charlie Sheen. If ANY of her allegations are true, then maybe he should be held accountable. I don't know.
I'm just trying to give you a good example of how divorce can change a person.

Wow, there are a lot of really angry and confused people out there.
As IÂ’ve written numerous times in these pages, I donÂ’t particularly think "war" with Iran is imminent, and as I said Sunday, Iran holds most of the cards of how a war might start.
I know many are out there predicting that Israel or the United States will attack Iran, even with nuclear weapons, in the next few months – their last prediction was by Spring – but again, there will not be a war with Iran this year, that is, unless Iran strikes first.
What is imminent is the making of war. Whether all of this contingency planning and preparation turns into war is in the hands not just of the Bush administration or the Iranian regime. It is also in the hands of American citizens. Or so I believe.
But, oh my! People are so confused. These are the repeated themes:
"The only terrorist attacks on 9/11 were those perpetrated by the United States government and the United States military."
The 9/11 truth movement, or whatever it’s called, seems to be gaining strength and believers. Putting aside for a moment whether they are right or wrong – they’re wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong-headed – the entire line of thinking seems to vilify the Bush administration while letting government failure off the hook. This to me is fundamentally disempowering. Either we can make our government accountable or not.

What government are we talking about? Ah, the government of Dick Cheney, with his evil plan to attack Iraq and Iran long before 9/11. Is it worth even responding to this? I wouldnÂ’t, other than to say that it is more than one demented personÂ’s views, as IÂ’ve gotten dozens of similar comments in the past few weeks.

This is just a modern corollary of the old singular theory of America that the United States needs to control all the oil reserves in the Persian Gulf and everything derives from this need and conspiracy. The theory existed before 9/11 and if anything, it seems that the wars in the Middle East have made oil less reliable and available than more. What is more, all through the darkest days, the
Libya’s, Iraq’s and Iran’s have sold their oil to the west so there has never been a need to “control” oil. This is a simplistic explanation of the world that no longer makes any sense. Unless that is, you think China is now going to go to war for oil.

FB writes: "Under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed, it is permitted to develop nuclear energy which could possibly be used for nuclear weapons. But it is still within its rights to develop this energy and this pursuit is not illegal. Why pressure Iran to stop development of nuclear energy which it has a right to do because the US thinks it might develop into nuclear weapons? Why all this pressure not to do the legal?"
This is a really easy one. If Iran is in full compliance with all international treaties and is not clandestinely developing nuclear weapons, then this is their opportunity to show that to the international community. They donÂ’t need to convince Dick Cheney, just the Germans and the French. Okay, I know youÂ’ll argue that in the case of Iraq, it didnÂ’t matter, and were it not for Iraq, Iran might be in greater trouble with this administration. But I find the resort to legalities in explaining away Iran weird when in the same breath, the legalities are pushed aside because the big bad United States will do whatever it wants anyhow even if Iran is found to be in compliance with its legal obligations. Either you believe in the law or you donÂ’t.

To an extraordinary number of correspondents (maybe it’s not so extraordinary), it all comes down to Israel. Israel has the same "illegal weapons" and they have refused to sign the NPT. The U.S. “supports” Israel's state terrorism; U.S. foreign policy is run from Israel. It’s all about Israel, including Iran’s development of the bomb, which so many write is justified given U.S. and Israeli threats.
There are so many sides of the mouth here: Iran is doing nothing wrong, it is justified in developing nukes. The U.S. is the real lawbreaker; Israel has broken the law, Iran is in compliance with the law; the laws donÂ’t matter. It is all a grand geo-strategic plan to control oil, it is about protecting Israel and fighting the Islamic world. 9/11 is the cause, excuse, conspiracy, it never happened.

The way I see it, it's not
The way I see it, it's not my job as a 9/11 activist to figure out "Who did it!" For all I know little green men in flying saucers slammed into the Twin Towers and Pentagon. (perhaps they were Jewish little green men?) I happen to agree with Charlie Sheen. Our job is only to look at the evidence and then question the so called "Official Report". What is needed is an independent investigation that will do that. The 9/11 commission never did. They just assumed the "Official Report" was true and went from there. Until this happens everything we say is pure speculation.
