Yeah, I've read various accounts that there was significant damage on the south side of WTC7. Much more so than many would like to believe. However, buildings have received far more damage an NOT fallen down.
It would be interesting to see footage from both Gulf wars when we've dropped 2000 lb. bombs on buildings and how much damage was incurred with various hits. Cruise missiles too. How many buildings have been completely destroyed (initially or through subsequent collapse)? Would definitely be interesting...

The contrast between what the news media was saying on September 11 and what they said on September 12 and ever afterwards was stark. This is on record and just this week we saw CNN's Jamie MacIntyre looking foolish trying to explain away his own September 11, 2001 remarks about nothing left of a plane at the Pentagon.
Theres lots more of that like Dan Rather interviewing Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor and the fellow tells Dan what a sophisticated operation this was. The Peter Jennings/Giuliani conversation where Giuliani tells Jennings he was told the WTC was going to collapse and no one's asked "Who told you?" And so on, all points for accountability: What did you do about what YOU knew on September 11? You buried it.
And then the cheerleading to have that Iraq War and the disaster for our country that its turned out to be and now we're told we "can't just leave." Oh, and you should give up your Social Security, baby boomers, that you've been paying EXTRA into since 1983 so that we can have more Iraq-type wars because the world needs US leadership.

Actually, if you re-read the thread you'd see that I actually posted a few comments. Strange you should have the attitude I "didn't do my homework" without checking for yourself. Coincidentally, that's exactly the point of this post.
First off, can we all agree to stop using the word "shill"?
It's a brittle and screechy sounding word that is being used to brutalize other posters, It is just a mean-spirited shortcut used by those who will not or cannot make a clear and informed statement about their position.
Second, I actually agree that there are questionable aspects of the CD theory and various "No Plane" and missile theories about the Pentagon. Stephen Jones would agree with me first on that. Remember, he still considers his own findings theoretical, and that they represent a groundwork for further investigation.
Jon Gold and Mr. Albanese are simply stating that to commit to these theories would be an unscientific and lazy tactic motivated more by a willingness to placate zealousy and blind faith than as a rational response to the information available at this time. Now, before you get all amped up, understand that I think the towers probably WERE brought down with help, but I just don't know enough to say that this is a fact. Because it is not. I'm not the type to post definitions on web boards, but if you need help with the term, plese don't refrain from looking it up.
What's really frustrating, is that many here feel the need to attack those who won't fully and unquestioningly commit to the ideas and theories they themselves have chosen to commit to. It's a lot like "You're either with us, or you're against us." Far too often, people in this country take it as a challenge and a threat when someone's opinion differs by even a few degrees. This is dangerous, anti-intellectual, and stupid.
It's also called BINARY THINKING. It's encouraged by our government and news agencies to confuse and divide the population, and has long semantic and historical roots. It makes people easy to market to, whether your product is a war or a hair dryer. Do not succumb to this, because it's just exactly what they want us to do.
Instead, I am putting out a plea for us to remain focused on what we DO know. Cheney and pals knew 9/11 was coming, did everything they could to help it along, and then covered up their nefarious deeds.
Okay. If we can get into court and prove to a grand jury that this happened, then all other details will slowly start to seep out of the cracks.
THIS is the time when you get your thermite and your Global Hawk stuff, NOT BEFORE. The justice system simply does not work that way, nor should it.
I am bewildered by those who feel the compulsion to keep guessing about details about which we have no information, when THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF REALLY IMPORTANT THINGS WE DO IN FACT KNOW.
How about going out on the street with a sign, or creating a T-shirt that you can distribute online or at a university? Why choose to come here, sit on your computer, and attack Jon Gold for not going far enough in his blind faith about whatever. Why not make a documentary. DO SOMETHING. BECOME WHAT THE NEO-CONS FEAR. Get a law degree and become a Federal Prosecuter. Make a difference!
How about some cohesion on what we do know, and a little more CONSTRUCTIVE debate on what could have happened?
People will take US ALL, much more seriously, because we would be UNITED.

The scientific evidence is just as good, if not better than the behavioral evidence.
Cheney would just get up on the stand, refuse to swear in, say that he felt "fucked up" or something on 9/11, and claim he doesn't really remember what happened that day. End of story.
