The NYT Conspiracy Buffs

The NYT Conspiracy Buffs article is currently one of the three featured articles on the AOL start-up page.

How's that for mainstream exposure?

P.S. don't ask me why I'm using AOL for access right now, it's certainly not by choice

Although Avery has removed the movie from his site, and says "he fully cooperates with the Naudet brothers", he still encourages viewing the movie on Google Video.

But maybe not for long. Google says it only accepts video uploads from persons who hold all necessary rights to the uploaded material.

"Our policy is to respond to any notices of alleged infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)," the company says. "If we receive a notice or otherwise have reason to believe that content you submitted infringes another party's copyright, your account may be terminated and the video removed from Google Video."

A spokesman for Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz confirmed the firm was handling a case for the Naudets, but refused to comment further.

The Aol.com frontpage link

The Aol.com frontpage link is a good exposure. They even have a poll which is quite sad:

Do you think the U.S. government was complicit in 9/11?
No way 57%
I'm suspicious but not sure 27%
Yes 17%
Total Votes: 76,315

That AOL poll is wierd.

That AOL poll is wierd. It's been 57%, 27%, 17% for a couple of hours, but the number of votes has moved from 40K to 76K.

yeah Jon, i thought the same thing when i went to go vote...

I know on my site I can

I know on my site I can arbitrarily change the results of a poll.

My feeling is that they

My feeling is that they might be running some 24hrs global system of bloggers either from national guard or mil. stations abroad where an individual is asked (ordered) to volunteer in responding to following hot spot debates to spin the issues. It would very easy to organize around the clock, each man doing it in 30-45min slots..

But obviously there could be majority of genuine iditos haha

They don't have to be smart

They don't have to be smart to be stifling, Tono... just look at Hannity.

The poll seems about right.

The poll seems about right. I wish the results were different but the corporate media is doing its job. Still last year the poll would not exist so that is a good sign.

They are AOL'ers, the

The zogby poll is actually scientific.

Hyped Terror Raid Proves To Be Paper Tiger
No evidence of chemical weapons, supposed Canada attack also discredited

Paul Joseph Watson/Prison Planet.com | June 5 2006

Friday's terror raid in London which has been hyped by sections of the media all weekend has evaporated into another paper tiger, just as another alleged fearsome plot to attack the Canadian Parliament is discredited by lack of evidence.

On Friday morning London police, supposedly acting on 'intelligence' and not evidence of a chemical weapons plot, raided a family home in the Forest Gate area, beating down doors and breaking windows as one of the suspects, Mohammed Abdul Kahar was shot in the shoulder.

Over the weekend police incredulously attempted to absolve themselves of blame by claiming that Kahar was shot by his own brother and not one of an alarmingly overzealous 250 police officers who descended on the scene. The police's version of events was adamantly denied by lawyers representing Kahar and his brother Abul Koyair.

Well, if you are the type of person who gets worried that another attack could be carried out under the guise of drills, check this out.

"On Monday, June 19, about 4,000 government workers representing more than 50 federal agencies from the State Department to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission will say goodbye to their families and set off for dozens of classified emergency facilities stretching from the Maryland and Virginia suburbs to the foothills of the Alleghenies. They will take to the bunkers in an "evacuation" that my sources describe as the largest "continuity of government" exercise ever conducted, a drill intended to prepare the U.S. government for an event even more catastrophic than the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks."

Chris, anyone who has been

Chris, anyone who has been paying attention in the past 3-5 years would know the canada attack attempt story is another fairy tale in the first place.

I feel that the fact that

I feel that the fact that over 15% of those responding to the poll believes that the US government was involved proves that our combined methods are effectively getting the word out. We got major, though sparse, media coverage. That is a major step in the right direction. We just need to continue doing what we are doing. It is working. I may be prejudiced toward DVDs being the best tool that we have to spread the 9/11 Truth, they are what first turned me on to the movement, but they are a great tool if not the best. Wal-Mart is now selling DVD recorders for less than $ 100.00. Any novice can make 10 or more copies a day at a cost of less than 50 cents a copy. Copying DVDs and giving them to folks that will watch them is a great way to spread the word. Preaching to the choir certainly has its place, but we need to turn around and face the congregation of uninformed Americans that still don't know that WTC 7 even existed in the first place. Keep churning out those DVDs. I will.
Peace, Tom Tvedten MD

On its face, the story of the “al-Qaeda inspired homegrown terrorist group” supposedly caught “plotting to bomb ‘hard’ government targets rather than ’soft’ civilian ones such as shopping malls or nightclubs” in Canada, as characterized by the Calgary Sun, is highly suspect, to say the least. It should be considered suspect because the organization heading up the investigation of “12 adults and five youths, all of whom are charged with participating in or contributing to the activity of a terrorist group, including training and recruitment” is the notorious CSIS, or Canadian Security Intelligence Service (Service Canadien du Renseignement de Sécurité), officially created by an Act of Parliament in 1984.

A simple Google search reveals a shady CSIS past, including a calculated effort to tell lies about Canada’s involvement in the CIA’s “rendition” (i.e., torture) flights (see Riad Saloojee, Public inquiry needed for Arar: Is Canada subcontracting torture?) and the slimy act of the CSIS teaming up with the Canada Post Security Inspector to snoop on unionized postal workers, including illegally intercepting the mail and stealing Crown keys to get into apartments and mail boxes (see New Book Shows CSIS, Canada Post Spied On Postal Workers, an April 22, 2002, bulletin released by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers).

BACK TO THE BUNKER

On Monday, June 19, about 4,000 government workers representing more than 50 federal agencies from the State Department to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission will say goodbye to their families and set off for dozens of classified emergency facilities stretching from the Maryland and Virginia suburbs to the foothills of the Alleghenies. Mr. Arkin, fresh off of his 9/11 activist bashing, is back with some fear mongering.

Bio of William M. Arkin (below)

William M. Arkin is an independent writer, investigator, and consultant specializing in national security affairs. He is the "Dot.Mil" columnist for the Washington Post's online service and has written the "Last Word" column in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists since 1985. He is also a regular contributor to Defense Daily. He is an adjunct professor at the U.S. Air Force's School of Advanced Airpower Studies.

Arkin's interest in Iraq began when he was director of military research for Greenpeace International. During the Gulf War, he headed Greenpeace's war response team and co-authored On Impact: Modern Warfare and the Environment: A Case of the Gulf War (May 1991),which was the first comprehensive study of the war's human and environmental effects.

In August 1991, five months after the Gulf War ceasefire, Arkin traveled to Iraq as military adviser to the second "Harvard Study Team," which conducted a survey of the effects of bombing on the civilian population. He visited over 250 sites that had been bombed, and he subsequently briefed the finding of his on the ground bomb damage assessment to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the CIA and other intelligence agencies, the Air Force and Navy, as well as other military audiences. He returned to Iraq in February 1993 to complete his research, and conducted extensive interviews with Iraqi government and military leaders.

http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/gulf-secret04.htm

"Mr. Arkin served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1978, and was an assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence of the US Commander Berlin. He was engaged in a number of covert intelligence collection projects and was the primary intelligence analyst for the West Berlin command."

so the guy is basically ex-military intel. anyone surprised? hahahaha

damn, why is the site

Thanks for that link, Chris. Our own neocons, led by PM Harper, just came to power a few months ago (by far the most right-wing government in Canadian history) and now we have the largest anti-terror sweep since 9/11 accompanied by the predictable fear mongering by our media. But maybe it's just a coincidence like everything else.

i noticed that Anon. as soon

i noticed that Anon. as soon as i saw that neocon Harper won(i thought you Canadians were smarter than that? haha,jk), i knew your country was in store for some of what us Americans have been putting up with.coincidence? i dont think so. do you guys use electronic voting up there?

"do you guys use electronic

"do you guys use electronic voting up there?"

Not yet, but maybe our neocons will ensure the Canadian public that it's the most efficient, reliable form of voting. Like you, I thought Canadians were too smart to vote for Harper and then watched in horror as he suddenly moved ahead in the polls in the run-up to the Jan. election.
