Who are the Heroes of the 9/11 Truth Movement?
Is it Jim Fetzer, Steve Jones, David Ray Griffin, Kevin Barrett, Bob Bowman, Morgan Reynolds, Webster Tarpley, and the rest of the all-star cast of Scholars for 9/11 Truth? These folks have certainly been doing great work and getting the word out.
Is it Dylan Avery and the rest of the Loose Change crew? They have indeed made a movie which has been seen by millions on the Internet already, and are doing incredible interviews for their new edition.
Is it Alex Jones, Mike Rivero, or the handful of people who have run thoughtful and informative websites for years? They have without doubt acted as elders to us, teaching us about false flag operations (and in AJ's case, getting incredible interviews and making hard-hitting documentaries).
Is it the well-known web researchers who have turned over every stone to find the basic facts contradicting the official story of 9/11? These talented men and women have been unbelievably persistent, dedicated, hard-working and smart in their efforts, and the rest of the movement stands on their shoulders.
Certainly, these folks are all heroes in my book (along with other well-known heroes who -- for the sake of brevity alone -- are not mentioned by name).
But on-the-ground and web activists are also incredible people. Not only do the activists move the ball forward by leaps and bounds, spreading 9/11 truth virally and into every segment of the country, but they are also an INSPIRATION to the people in the limelight mentioned above. Don't believe me? Ask them yourselves.
KEEP IT UP PEOPLE . . . WE'RE HEROES TOO!
Postscript: After sending me a list of many other 9/11 heroes, 9/11 activist Jon Gold made this comment:

There are too many heroes to mention in this movement.
To me, a hero is anyone brave enough to face the truth, and do everything in their power to tell the next person what truth they have faced.

"Hero" is typically used to signifiy acocmplishment. Merely trying valiantly, but failing, does not a hero make. I still have high hopes for 9/11 truth really breaking, fast and hard, across the globe. Compared to that goal, 9/11 truth hasn't moved yet.
Further, hero worship is why most people can't conceive of U.S. "leaders" having been involved in 9/11. So hero worship, or excessive respect, is a kind of gatekeeper, which prevents people from thinking anything bad about their "heroes". (Bush had Fleischer and others to blow his horn plus fake Dem opposition to not damn him; 911 truth misleaders have cheerleaders @ 911blogger to try to bestow praise and hero worship and 2nd-hand respect [am I the only one who's grown weary of seeing Jon Gold continually posting here how great/respected he thinks certain people are?] on them...)
Mike Rivero, via his "thoughtful and informative" website, tells 9/11-related lies http://911blimp.net/$500reward.shtml in an attempt to get people to disregard Bush's repeated, incriminating, self-implicating 9/11 witness statements, making "hero" Mike Rivero an opponent and enemy of the truth(s) about 9/11. (He's not alone in this campaign; professional journalist and 'leading' 911"truth"er Barrie Zwicker has also told liar-Rivero-supportive accompanying lies, by repeatedly falsely stating that Bush said "ordinary TV", which is a lie. Wake up and smell the fraud, people!!! (Govt-lie-friendly liars who've infiltrated/pervaded the 9/11 truth movement deserve something less than respect and hero-worship!)
There are others mentioned by "GW" in that "heroes" blog entry have committed other acts of dishonesty/misdirection against 9/11 truth, too.
So I hope people will understand if I don't fall for this hero-worship nonsense...
I do appreciate their pulling-in-the-right-direction efforts, but we must all recognize and denounce those who mislead us, never put them on a pedestal.

IMHO, the best single measure of a 9/11 presentation's value is how
impossible the presenter makes it for people to keep clinging to the
belief that they can blame "Muslim hijackers" for 9/11. Further, if
the presentation tries to advance that unfounded belief (especially
subliminally), then it is acting as government propaganda.

I guess it's how one defines a hero.
To me a hero is one who sacrifices at least a portion of their life for the good of others.
By writing e-mails to key people, posting at blogs and forums and passing out flyers, I consider myself a helper of heroes.

I disagree, a hero is someone willing to take off their blinders and stand up for what they believe in, despite insurmountable odds, and meaningless attacks from others who choose to make nuisances of themselves. A person does not automatically become a hero only after they have accomplished their tasks.
Some efforts take years, and many people never live to see how successful their efforts really were. That does not mean they weren't heros in their lifetime.
But at least you concede we are "trying valiantly".

I'm an on the ground activist for the past while. I call into radio shows and try to initiate actual conversation on the subject, and have been organizing events with a few new friends giving out free dvds about the subject. I must bake in the sun tomorrow and peel yet again, but it's so very worth it. Recently we ran an event for two days at a music festival and gave away maybe a thousand dvds crammed with info, and the feedback has been absolutely amazing. People love getting dvds for free and learning about this stuff on their own, in a convenient format. I have alot of fun talking to people, theres so many at these big events that often there's not enough time or people to address all the questions at once...
It is a hard pill to swallow as we all know, but I think the world in general wants to move on now and get this case solved... it's such a simple thing to do that I am constantly humbles when I think about my heroes, rodriguez, zwicker, tarpley, chossudovsky, barrett, ryan, jones (both), malloy and fetzer and all the other real patriots who have said they recognize this for what it is and do not accept it.
