In my comments yesterday I proposed taking bets on how many times he would use the word "nuts." Of course that is his only defense.

A Lesson In 9/11 Research

I emailed Nass and Mark Green last night, and I got a boiler-plate response (I know someone else who got the same exact response). Here is the response:

Thank you for contacting me with your request that I debate Kevin Barrett regarding his 9/11 conspiracy theory. A debate is a process of discussing facts and attempting to interpret those facts. It would be silly to debate Mr. Barrett on his fiction relating to the events of 9/11.

I offer the following quotes for you to reflect upon:

Why does this headline say the case is GROWING AGAINST Barrett?

Obviously, that is FOX's headline. And anyone with a shred of decency and intelligence knows that FOX is a group of deranged individuals shoveling out crap upon the masses.

Is it possible Mike Malloy could have Kevin Barrett on his program? Could Air America grow some balls and have Barrett on some of their other programs?

Kevin Barrett is a brave man whose words deserve our ears and responsive action.

If I totally disagreed with someone and thought their ideas were "nuts", and then someone of the same belief pointed out to me some strange numerological coincidences, like the NYC lottery # and the S&P closing #, that would probably only make me think you were more crazy than I had already thought.

I am reminded of the trick you can do by folding a 20 dollar bill. While I too find this interesting, it doesn't PROVE any given theory about 911. You'd have to somehow say the person who released the new 20 design in 1998 knew already what was going to happen 3 1/2 years later. Seems improbable, at best.

Convincing people it was an inside job can be acheived easily by concentrating on what works best: controlled demolition, WTC 7, cover up of the investigation, forensic evidence, Pentagon damage, etc.

Either way, neither of those theories has any academic merit. If you could provide some physical evidence or documentation about how people conspired to make those numbers somehow not random, then maybe there would be some sort of connection. You'd have to show manipulation of a given mathematic process, it would be incredibly complicated.

It's easier to point to the easily obtainable video of WTC 7, and say, "Why did that happen?"

It's interesting to think about how it would serve Bush psychologically to go to a mock human sacrifice. It probably activates the same parts of the brain as any religious ceremony, something that reinforces one's perceived moral values.

If indeed Bush was intimately aware of the 911 plot, it's not crazy to envision this type of ceremony as a simple redemption of their commitment to ensuring their neo-con/pro-violence values.

regarding the $20 bill trick, are most of you aware that this trick works with the $5(towers intact), $10(1st tower hit), $20(2nd tower hit), $50(tower collapse), & $100(smoldering ground zero)? I would never discuss Donald Rumsfeld's or Dick Cheney's birthcharts with someone I'm talking with about 9/11 ( I'm a professional astrologer btw, and *know*, having dissected thousands of natal charts, which patterns predominate in sociopaths. The only way for the weight of this information to register with anyone is if they already have an understanding of the language and patterns. This is acquired only by many years of study.

The same is true for Numerology. I defy anyone to fully appreciate "A MidSummer Night's Dream" , or "MacBeth" or many of Shakespeare's plays without understanding both astrology and numerology. Patterns of both are densely woven into Shakespeare's writing.

I think that it's important that we speak the language that most people have a chance of understanding: science. Admittedly, this is a tall task given that so many people have little or no background in the sciences, but we must appeal to their common sense.
Newton's Law of Conservation of Momentum is a fancy name for an easily understood truth: a falling object slows down when it hits something.

All that said, I understand where the numerology comments are coming from,and suspect that a great deal of it is intentional on the part of the perpetrators. But in the larger sense, it serves as a distraction in the 9/11 conversation(IMO.)
