A high-rise block in Glasgow has been set alight in an attempt to understand how blazes affect buildings and ensure future safety in emergencies.
Jose Torero, professor of fire safety engineering at the University of Edinburgh, conducted the experiment on a 24-storey tower block in Dalmarnock.
He also hopes it will shed light on why the Twin Towers collapsed on 9/11.
Prof Torero said he believed the World Trade Centre in New York should have "withstood burnout" after it was hit.
The collapse of the towers in September 2001, after they were hit by hijacked aircraft, resulted in the deaths of almost 2,800 workers and 350 firefighters and emergency workers.
Prof Torero said: "It didn't even cross my mind the buildings would collapse.

Honestly the term
Honestly the term gatekeepers a funny one. People have called me f*cking gatekeeper rejecting "noplanes", which doesnÂ’t even make sense to begin with because I'm not exactly up there chilling with the Scholars, the individual can be a "gatekeeper" if they disagree with something now? WTF is that. The difference between me and someone like Chomsky is, Chomsky has major influence and his opinion, to many people ironically including "no planers" matters... a lot. 9/11-Truth is something tailor made for a person like Chomsky, and he's easily smart enough to understand it and the good it could bring. Yet he props up the false official narrative. Now I don't want to speculate and call him "controlled opposition", because the affect of his actions is the same regardless. So because his opinion, and others like him do matter we need to have them debate the issue. Webster Tarpley and Barry Zwicker have thrown down the gantlet to them, they now need to be brave enough to pick it up, and debate the issue if they still don't agree. The only way that's going to happen is if Chomsky and the like are reached out to, not attacked. The best way to get a debate with Chomsky in particular I think has got to be through a very public and publicized invitation by the Scholars for 9/11 truth. Griffin, Jones, Bowman, Tarpley and Fetzer all need to put out the call to Chomsky. It's important we try and make that happen soon now that there's a wave of momentum to ride on.
