Imagine the reaction to a film that suggested that the sailors on the USS Arizona were just luckless dupes who had to die so FDR could take the country into WWII, instead of war heroes; I think this film might have the same effect.

After all, we don't mention this often enough, but it seems like most people's problem with the Iraq invasion and occupation is NOT with the fact that it happened, but that it wasn't a quick, overwhelming victory; if it had been, Iraq wouldn't even be an issue for many Democrats/liberals, much less for the GOP.

The msm have been running with that "liquid terrorists" story like mad! Every news channel, every newspaper, day after day.

It was extremely effective propaganda to support the "official story" of 9/11. I'm sure it set us way back.

Some of you folks worry me.

1) I watched the film last night. It was excellent and it leaves the viewer with absolutely NO doubt that our government is up to it's armpits in 911. OK?

2) If you are expecting to "wake up" every American or even a majority, then quit now because it will never happen. 1/3 do not have the intellectual or emotional capacity to process the information on a McDonalds menu, never mind a crime of this magnitude. We can argue until the sun fizzles out the reasons for their lack of curiosity/ignorance/innate stupidity/low IQ/emotional retardation, and never find the answer. Another 1/3 will ALWAYS side with whomever appears to be in charge, be they a benevolent aristocracy, or a tyranical despot. History has taught those of us on the right hand side of the bell curve this important lesson. Today they support the current administration, tomorrow, should we ever wrest the reins of power back from them, they will blindly follow us.

The remaining 1/3 is what should concern you. Those who are intelligent enough to process the information, moral enough to care, and vested enough to take action.

This film will resonate with that 1/3

Honestly, and I've thought about this... if you show 9/11: Press For Truth, then LC: Final Cut, that would be tremendous... People don't realize that the majority of Americans didn't even follow the 9/11 Commission. As Paul Craig Roberts pointed out, no one (except us) has even read the 9/11 Report. I think by that combination, the Big Lie will be exposed.

ya, its the new version of 911blogger.com.. as for looks it is roughly the same as the current layout.. the improvements have been made on the infrastructure, reliability, and functionality.. in other words, it will allow the site to do a bunch more shit.. including multiple themes incase we do at some point want to make it more slick ;)

that is the one major piece of functionality that is left to be implemented.. at the moment users can submit events, quotes, and news stories, but all require a team member to either approve or reject the submission.. the goal is to get it to where the content submission is instead driven by the community at some point..

with that said, each user will be able to post blog entries of their own without the need for a team member to approve it, and if it is news related and of good quality then we will probably promote it to the main news page..

Jon: Here's my 2 cents about Press for Truth. It looks like a solidly produced film that could have impact. But what good will it do if it doesn't show in mainstream mass market theaters? The people who most need to see this film are not going to seek it out and hustle down to an art house to see it. Okay--ENOUGH! Anyone that looks up 911 and finds this site and reads this crap is going to run in the other direction! Get over it, ignore it---i don't care but just stop it!

If people want to continue an argument maybe they can find another spot to do it in. It is a total waste of time for those of us that just want to check in on what is new on 9/11 and other related info. We don't care to read a bunch of grown ups acting like children, especially when some of them are people we respect and feel are above this.

And about Press for Truth film: my God people, give it a freakin chance already. You know some people are not happy unless soemthing is done exactly how they would do it. First of all, until you see it can't you be optimistic? I mean damn, at least it is another film on the subject. Personally, I trust Jon and Dz's opinion.

I share the opinion of someone else that posted here earlier, that this is a movie I feel I can take anyone to. We need to wake up mainstream America and I have hope that this can be that film.

As far as where it is being screened, I understand that frustration. Living in Indiana, I don't get to see these types of films but THANK GOD this one is being screened here. It comes down to money and support I think. I hate it too. I know. I mean how can "Snakes on Planes" be widely distributed but not important films like this? The fact is, there are many reasons, reasons that are not easily explained or can be too easily resolved. However, if people choose to be OPTIMISTIC they can go to the website and find out how to do a screening in their community.

In re: the film "9/11: Press for Truth":

I have not seen the movie. I own no interest in it (other than as a citizen).

It seems to me that if this film does nothing else but state the case that there are serious questions about the 9/11 Commission process and report, and that the Bush administration stonewalled any investigation or inquiry, and if the film gets even moderate distribution, that alone is a great thing.

The baseline story of 9/11 is still hidden to most people.

Remember you own evolution, your own awakening. It started at a basic level,and then you did some homeowrk and some looking, and then you started to think about it, and then you moved toward LIHOP.

Most Americans have not even begun that journey yet.

It matters not that this film is not fully MIHOP, or fails to mention some obscure nuance of which you are aware or for which you think there is clear evidence.

What matters is putting the essential questions fully before the American public, the American media. We've got to go to that step first before we can get to Congress and the courts.

Go back to the beginning, and "be a rookie all over again". It might even help you clarify some of your own thinking.

Does ANYONE have a comment about Michael Kane's assertion that last week's terror frenzy was about "demand destruction?"

It just seems a plausible argument to me -- and seems so obvious now that it has been pointed out.

The argument states that essentially the powers-that-be are trying to get people to fly less because of Peak Oil (planes use a huge amount of fuel). I'm most puzzled by the contradictory reviews of "World Trade Center". I watched the excerpt linked from prisonplanet, in which the rescue personnel hear and wonder about what to me were clearly explosions from above (some of them even watched up), but casseia wrote that the sounds were caused by people jumping down.

I have also been told that the movie shows actual TV footage of WTC 7 collapsing, yet casseia wrote its collapse lasts 30 seconds in the movie. What does it mean that the collapse lasts 30 seconds? Does someone say so in the movie?

I can't say that the sounds you mentioned "definitely sound" like people jumping. As I recall, the idea that people are jumping is presented, and then characters are cringing at loud noises and their leader says something like "don't think about it, people." To me, this made a connection between the noises and the idea of people jumping, and the noises don't sound like a bomb. (Not that I've heard a lot of bombs.) Much more importantly, while these ambiguous noises are punctuating the background sounds, the background itself is composed of the building's groaning, straining, (bolt-)popping sounds that give the impression that COLLAPSE IS IMMINENT. I don't know of any witness testimony along the lines of "We could hear that the building was about to collapse." I think Stone totally made that up.

Also, regarding the collapse times -- I was evaluating them mostly on the basis of sound. That is, after the men are trapped, they hear catastrophic rumbling that goes on well over 20 seconds (that would have been the collapse of WTC 1). WTC 7 is shown collapsing in real time, but for the characters under the rubble, the rumbling/crashing collapse noises go on and on. Do you see what I mean?

I still believe that anyone who thinks this film is subtly critical of the OV is delusional.

Time to get rid of the federal reserve after the 911 cleanup.

Something I wrote a while back regarding LIHOP/MIHOP... I know this is a reiteration of things people have already said, but I figured what the hell...

Both LIHOP and MIHOP can co-exist. In my experience, LIHOP eventually turns into MIHOP anyway.

A lot of people have a hard time accepting that our Government would have a hand in it. It's until they see all of the evidence that they eventually follow suit.

I just think of my own experience with 9/11. At first, I wanted to carpet bomb the entire Middle East. Then, I started to see the reactions of our Government, and although I originally agreed with the idea of invading Afghanistan, I now know it was wrong.

Then I saw how the families had to fight for the creation of the Commission... Because the Bush Administration opposed it. It's not rocket science at the point. "Hmmm... what are they trying to hide.", and generally at that point, most people are "off to the races" as they say.

Other people research differently, and other people require different amounts of information. They get to a certain point in their research where they've been convinced, and make a decision that the truth must be told. For some, it's a different point than others. For others, we have to know everything.

The point is... just because someone isn't as far along as someone else in their research, doesn't mean we can chastize them. As I said, most LIHOP turn to MIHOP eventually. It's about having patience with other people around you. We don't have to get along, and we don't even have to like each other. We do, however, have to have a common goal, and that has ALWAYS been absolute truth, and absolute accountability. No matter where it leads.

Here's an appeal I made to everybody a while back. This took place during an interview with Karl Schwarz. I like Karl, but I don't like a lot of his work.

It's all collapsing in front of them...I wonder how much they sleep at night knowing their heads will be on the end of a stick being paraded around Times Square. I supect that close advisors will begin keeping their distance so as not to get sucked into the guilt by association whirlpool. We may even see a few sell-outs to gain immunity. I loved DBLS's movie. I loved "Last Of The Mohicans" in the beginning. It fit right in.

IMO, the most effective way of spreading the truth, if you can do only 1 thing, is to hand someone a DVD like Loose Change 2 or a book like Christian Faith and the Truth Behind 9/11 by DRG.

as far as the no plane notion:

my best friend from High School saw the second plane hit from his livingroom window in New Jersey which looks out over the Hudson. He was on the phone with his mother which called him after she saw what was happening on tv. From his view, he saw it coming for a little while and in horror saw it hit.

I will never question what he saw. To this day it is still too disturbing for him to talk about.

Once again, re: the sounds

The Port Authority guys are initially on an underground or first floor level ("the concourse"). If the sounds are people (God rest their souls) impacting the ground or ground-level structures, it would sound like that. It reminded me of sounds in the lobby in the Naudet Brothers' film, which were jumpers. Also, I suspect that some of the sounds that people have identified as "explosions" are what I have called "bolt-popping sounds" or in other words, sounds that indicate the building is going to collapse. This is a distinction that may not be evident through computer speakers but was clear to me in the theater.

Sounds related to the collapse of WTC 7. Yes, in fact, many many aspects of the film can be chalked up to "cinematic effect." The whole FILM is "cinematic effect." The question is, how did Stone take a very large quantity of information about something that really happened, and distill it into a form that could be portrayed on the screen? I think that the very act of making a film about an event (or group of events) like 9/11 is a profoundly political act. Nobody gets off on the "it's just a movie" defense. Stone chose to represent the collapse of WTC 7 with visuals (which were actual videos, for which I give him credit) and the experience of his characters. For the guys underground, it was an experience of sound and vibration, that I think went on for a long long time, which gives the impression that the collapse took a long long time. For other characters, it takes place in the context of dialogue about all the WTC buildings that are AT RISK OF COLLAPSING, although this is an unprecedented event.

The bottom line is that if you're really interested, you're going to have to wait and see it yourself. (It'll make it to Finland someday, right?) Unfortunately, it is nowhere near the movie that United 93 was.

I grew to love EGLS while transcribing it so it could be subtitled.

I love DBLS' film, and talk it up at any possible opportunity. I think EGLS and that film are a great pair to show someone together.

The film was elegant Frank, it was like fine art in motion, quite reminiscent of the Renaissance period might I add. A truly astounding piece my good man.

Yeah, United 93 was also bullshit propaganda, but it's a great film. It's unusual for a Hollywood flick (no big name actors, unrelenting tension, no happy ending) and it really humanized the hijackers -- I mean if you HAVE to believe in NYAG, it's considerate to at least concieve of them as human in the midst of the increasing demonization of the whole Muslim world.

Judging from the Naudet Brothers' film, again, people's bodies impacting after falling 90 stories sound like car crashes.

Like I say, you'll just have to see it for yourself. But I'd see United 93 first. :)

yes, there is a reason they tried to appease us with the non "video" of Flight 77 hitting the Pentagon and failed to release the 84 tapes the FBI swiped. and im betting its not to "trick" us so they can release it later and make us look bad. i dont buy that for one second.

Remember you own evolution, your own awakening. It started at a basic level,and then you did some homeowrk and some looking, and then you started to think about it, and then you moved toward LIHOP.
