Peter Bergen: ...The story about bin Laden and the CIA—that the CIA funded bin Laden or trained bin Laden—is simply a folk myth. There’s no evidence of this. In fact, there are very few things that bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri and the U.S. government agree on. They all agree that they didn’t have a relationship in the 1980s. And they wouldn’t have needed to. Bin Laden had his own money, he was anti-American and he was operating secretly and independently....

Webster Tarpley responds, (full text here);

Peter Bergen needs to take time out from parroting his MI-5 and MI-6 printouts and address a few facts. As I show in my book, 9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in USA, the al Qaeda organization was most emphatically the “Arab Legion” created by the US and the British to counter the Soviets in Afghanistan in the early 1980s. The concept of this Arab Legion is found in the memoirs of former CIA Director Robert Gates. Bin Laden personally is of course an eccentric, a dreamer, and a basket case, but there is no doubt that when he went to Peshawar, Pakistan during those years he was surrounded by CIA and MI-6 handlers who steered him in the desired direction. Bin Laden has always received comprehensive support services from US-UK intelligence...

Anyone else getting the

Anyone else getting the feeling that the MSM is starting to squirm?

I also noticed earlier that the traffic map on the right pane of "911blogger" is blossoming...Lol.

Peter Bergen could learn so

Peter Bergen could learn so much from Tarpley. if he wasnt such an elitist tool that is.

This article should also be

This article should also be on the front page of this post, it is about the connections between USA and Al Qaeda:

Peter Bergen must work for

Peter Bergen must work for the Ministry of Truth, where he rewrites history.

Bin Laden's CIA links are widely admitted.

In fact, the creator of the Bin Laden / Al Qaeda myth, Zbigniew Bzrezinski, even BRAGS about how he gave the Soviet Union "their Vietnam" using Bin Laden and his Mujahadeen.

This Peter Bergen guy can

This Peter Bergen guy can pontificate from his ivory tower all he likes. He is another ubiquitous establishment shill. Who really cares what he says?

NYC to Release 911 Calls From Sept. 11

I know Michael Moore is

I know Michael Moore is hardly the best source to quote, but in Fahrenheit 9/11, you have Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia saying on Larry King Live that the US helped bin Laden fight the Soviets. Hello...mujahadeen?!? How do these people think they can get away with this misinformation? The house of cards must be in danger of coming down if there are people coming out spewing such easily disprovable crap.

well, it's all so easily

well, it's all so easily disproven.... but this just shows how the MSM is desperate to keep people in line

In the light of all this,

In the light of all this, Mr. Peter Bergen is a charlatan and a laughingstock who should stop pontificating over the airwaves, and go back to his masters at the British Secret Intelligence Service.

Webster G. Tarpley

HAHAHAHAHAHA, Tarpley is the man.

Oh yeah? Perhaps, indeed,

Oh yeah?

Perhaps, indeed, CIA and USG in general had nothing to do with Benny.

How about Tim Osman then?

I think it's parallel to the 9/11 scenario - we haven't figured out exactly how they did it, but we know for a fact that what they've told us is useless distraction.

true, but there is a LOT

true, but there is a LOT more evidence that points to inside job in regards to 9/11 than there is the JFK Jr. killing. dont get me wrong, i still think he was clearly assasinated based on the evidence and the obvious cover-up that took place.
