Was Bush engineer of 9/11 onslaught?
Documentary screened, discussed by city crowd

DOZEN of critics of U.S. President George W. Bush crowded in a Winnipeg classroom yesterday to see a documentary entitled The Great Conspiracy: The 9/11 News Special You Never Saw.

Community activists, anti-war crusaders and skeptics of Big Government lined the aisles and filled the seats at the University of Winnipeg for the chance to discuss the event with the 70-minute documentary's producer, Barrie Zwicker.

Zwicker is a Toronto media critic whose work has appeared regularly on Vision TV. He taught classes on media criticism for seven years, at the Ryerson Polytechnic University, says his website www.greatconspiracy.ca.

He believes Bush covertly engineered the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks to whip up public opinion in favour of the American invasion of Iraq.

Zwicker filmed his documentary using a panel debate that he set up at the University of Toronto over five days in May.

Examples of his so-called inconsistencies: seismic recordings show the towers were rocked with unexplained underground explosions before the planes hit them; NYC authorities imploded a 47-storey tower that was part of the WTC but had not been directly damaged by the attacks; NORAD was mysteriously told to stand down on that fateful morning.
For his documentary, Zwicker drew together 40 different speakers and skeptics from three continents and gave them carte blanche to pick apart the official 9/11 account of the destruction of the World Trade towers.

Zwicker claims the mainstream media are part of the cover-up, lapdogs to the Bush coterie.

Zwicker wants an international inquiry to probe the entire 9/11 attack in public hearings.

Some Winnipeggers conceded yesterday the whole thing sounds a little kooky but they insist where there's smoke, there is fire.

"I know. I know. But I didn't leave my tin foil hat in the car!" swore Michael Okrainec.

"And I didn't even mention Bush in the classroom reading My Pet Goat," he laughed. That's the infamous scene from Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 where Bush is caught on film continuing to read a story to kids in a classroom despite the fact he's just been informed that the first plane has slammed into the WTC.
