There was a lot of paranormal activity going on that day. Predictions, mind reading, and sixth sense activity... oh my.

Rumsfeld:

At a "terrorism meeting" that morning Rumsfeld predicted that a shocking event would occur
in the near future. He didn't say how near, however.

I had said at an 8:00 o'clock breakfast that sometime in the next two, four, six, eight,
ten, twelve months there would be an event that would occur in the world that would be
sufficiently shocking that it would remind people again how important it is to have a
strong healthy defense department.

That same morning, after the attack on the WTC, his ESP tells him that there will be another attack, and Pentagon may well be the target. Though, for some reason, after the Pentagon is hit he goes outside to "determined what had happened". I guess he didn't trust his intuition as much as he should have.

Donald Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defence, was in his office on the eastern side of the
building, in a meeting with Christopher Cox, the defence policy committee chairman of the
House of Representatives. Mr Rumsfeld, recalls Mr Cox, watched the TV coverage from New
York and said: "Believe me, this isn't over yet. There's going to be another attack, and it
could be us."

“I went outside to determine what had happened. I was not there long because I was back in the Pentagon with a crisis action team shortly before or after 10:00 a.m.

Cheney:

Cheney knows through intuition that an heroic act has taken place on Flight 93, while
everyone else is trying to figure out what happened.

It took the Pentagon almost two hours to confirm that the plane had not been shot down,
an enormous relief. "I think an act of heroism occurred on board that plane," Cheney said.
Later, reports of cell phone conversations before the plane crashed indicated that some
passengers had fought with the hijackers.

Earlier, Cheney knew it was al Qaeda without any investigation at all. Though George Tenet, while at breakfast, apparently knows it too, so maybe Cheney read some of Tenet's memos when others did not.

Additionally, when Richard Clarke got to the White House like Rumsfeld Crash-cart seems to think it's not over. He's not quite as sure of himself, however.

"It’s an al-Qaeda attack and they like simultaneous attacks. This may not be over."

Bush's Handlers:

Andy Card read the mind of the POTUS and knew he had no further questions after being told
"We're under attack".

The Secret Service also read his mind, via telepathy he must have commanded them to violate protocol and leave him sitting there. I can find no other explanation.

Somehow the Secret Service again know Bush is not threatened, though even Kindasleezy
thought he was. Air Force One took off 30 minutes after Rice states he should have a fighter
escort, without an escort and flies around in circles. AF One doesn't get an escort for another hour, though * by some accounts states, "Angel (the code name for AF One) is next." *'s ESP center is defective, as are other parts of his brain.

As an aside, there are interesting time synchronicities that morning. It seems as if nearly everyone finally got their heads together right around 10:00. Hour and a half too late - I guess that's good enough for government work, give these men a raise.

Gen. Montague Winfield takes control from Leidig at about 10:00 a.m.

Cheney reaches his bunker a little before 10:00 a.m.
Lynn Cheney arrives shortly thereafter and commences to fuck things up for the people trying to do their jobs.

"I can’t hear the crisis conference because Mrs. Cheney keeps turning down the volume on you so she can hear CNN ... and the vice president keeps hanging up the open line to you." Clarke notes that the "right-wing ideologue" Lynne Cheney frequently offers her advice and opinions during the crisis."

Rumsfeld by his own account joins the "crisis team" shortly before or after 10:00 a.m. Disclaimer here: Rumsfeld's accounting of his own time is in dispute.

Shortly before 10:00 a.m. (9:55) Air Force One takes off and * gets in contact with Crash-cart.

One minute before 10:00 (9:59) the White House requests the implementation of Continuity of Government measures. Though the paragraph is somewhat opaque, it makes it sound as if Stephen Hadley was the one making the request.

At 9:59, an Air Force lieutenant colonel working in the White House Military Office joined the conference and stated he had just talked to Deputy National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley. The White House requested (1) the implementation of continuity of government measures, (2) fighter escorts for Air Force One, and (3) a fighter combat air patrol over Washington, D.C.

Shortly after 10:00 a.m. Langley fighters reach Washington. (though, again, there are folks who contradict this and say it was 11:00)

One minute before 10:00 a.m. (9:59) the South Tower collapses.

At 9:59 Richard Clarke is told that the hijackers have al Qaeda connections - as Cheney and Tenet already knew. Poor Clarke the "terrorism czar," they just kept him out of the loop from day one unti the very end didn't they.

Between 10:03 and 10:10 (10:06 by most accounts) Flight 93 crashes and the horror is nearly over.

Then there are the late-comers - so everybody wasn't right in sync.

10:17 FAA finally gets over their "technical problems" and joins the teleconference at NMCC.

10:28 North Tower collapses.

10:30 Both Rumsfeld and Myers arrive at the NMCC (War Room) at this time. (Caveat: this is by most accounts - a couple of others put Rumsfeld there a little earlier)

Anybody got any other paranormal events or tales of synchronicity to tell?
