I am sorry, but I apparently was in error in believing that I could post this freely. Please do not re-link the MP3 here, if you already downloaded it. Thanks for your understanding, and be assured that a much better version will be available soon!

"We have put out this volume in the conviction that 9/11 was not only the largest and least-investigated homicide in American history but perhaps also the largest hoax, with extremely fateful consequences for human civilization as a whole. If our educational community cannot address this issue, then it risks remaining merely "academic" in the worst sense of that term." - statement of editors David Ray Griffin & Peter Dale Scott

I've never seen Ray McGovern

I've never seen Ray McGovern go this far before. He seems to be completely on board with 911 truth at this point. Will Counterpunch -- which regularly prints articles by McGovern -- call him a "nut" as a well? There's lots of boos and hisses when Cockburn's name is mentioned lol

We're talkin' motherlode- listen in folks!!

-shhhh...

Excellent Point!

Counterpunch also publishes pieces by Bill Christison and Paul Craig Roberts, both of whom openly question the official story. Alexander Cockburn needs to be taken to task for the hypocrisy of his journal's editorial stance. He should either (1) stop being a left gatekeeper and allow these writers to state their cases on 9/11, or (2) publicly denounce them as "nutcases" and stop publishing their writings. And people should challenge him to do this.

Bonnie & C-Span

The host, Bonnie Faulkner mentioned in the opening that C-Span is covering this event? Any confirmation?

ray confronted mineta!

holy crap, ray mcgovern confronted mineta about "do the orders still stand"...but mineta avoided the question. I wonder if they told him never to speak of that?

Anyways, its clear Mcgoverns a truther, despite some anti war folks trying to say hes on the fence.

Peter Dale Scott- the missing link

That's the most important stuff I've seen the last years.

Peter Dale Scott...

Is awesome.

I have VERY good reason...

To believe that Norman Mineta was told to lie about his testimony.

In April 2006, the Pacifica Tribune reported on a lecture Mineta gave at Jefferson High School in the Bay Area of San Francisco.

The reporter, Jane Northrop, wrote the following:

"School personnel filled the theater to give as many students and teachers as possible an opportunity to hear Mineta. He gave them his insider's view about his momentous decision-making on Sept. 11, 2001. After the planes slammed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and crashed in the Pennsylvania woods, he was whisked away by Secret Service agents. He conducted his business that day from a secure bunker with the other members of cabinet. As U.S. Secretary of Transportation, he faced the decision about what to do with the nation's air traffic. Mineta made the decision to immediately ground all 4,600 planes coming in and out of the country, despite advisors who urged him to allow pilots to use their discretion about where to land, he told the students."

I sent Ms. Northrop several emails asking her about this article. I never heard from her.

Now we hear that Ray McGovern confronted Mineta about his testimony before the 9/11 Commission, and this time, he told a story about Flight 93, which COMPLETELY contradicts his testimony.

We also have several "trolls" on this site who try to make everyone believe that Mineta's memory was bad, and that he was referring to Flight 93.

This is an impossibility based on his testimony.

Here is an excerpt from his opening statement.

When I got to the White House, it was being evacuated. I met briefly with Richard Clark, a National Security Council staff member, who had no new information. Then the Secret Service escorted me down to the Presidential Emergency Operations Center, otherwise known as the PEOC. I established contact on two lines, one with my chief of staff at the Department of Transportation, and the second with Monty Belger, the acting deputy administrator of the FAA, and Jane Garvey, both of whom were in the FAA operations center.

And as the minutes passed, the developing picture from air traffic control towers and radar screens became increasingly more alarming. Some aircraft could not be contacted. While on a normal day that may be just a communications snafu, we were faced with trying to quickly sort out minor problems from significant threats. We did not know how many more attacks might be in progress.

The FAA began to restrict air travel in the Northeast United States by a combination of actions which included sterilizing air space in certain regions and at various airports, and ultimately a nationwide ground stop of all aircraft for all locations, regardless of destination.

Within a few minutes, American Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.

That's from his prepared remarks. Not from the Q&A session.

Also, Flight 93 NEVER came within 10 miles of Washington D.C.

Therefore, I have VERY good reason to believe that Mineta was told to lie about the testimony he gave before the 9/11 Commission.

Did Peter Dale Scott...

Say that the FBI released 18 of the 19 hijackers' names by 10am before Flight 93 crashed?

Here's the best I could do...

September 11, 2001: Existing Files on Hijackers Enables Investigation to Start Within Hours of Attacks

One day after 9/11, the New York Times will report that FBI agents in Florida investigating the hijackers quickly “descended on flight schools, neighborhoods and restaurants in pursuit of leads.” At one flight school, “students said investigators were there within hours of Tuesday’s attacks.” [New York Times, 9/13/2001] Also on September 12, the Times will report, “Authorities said they had also identified accomplices in several cities who had helped plan and execute Tuesday’s attacks. Officials said they knew who these people were and important biographical details about many of them. They prepared biographies of each identified member of the hijack teams, and began tracing the recent movements of the men.” [New York Times, 9/13/2001] In September 2002, 9/11 victim’s relative Kristen Breitweiser, testifying before the 9/11 Congressional Inquiry, will cite these news reports and will ask, “How did the FBI know exactly where to go only a few hours after the attacks? How did they know which neighborhoods, which flight schools and which restaurants to investigate so soon in the case? ... How are complete biographies of the terrorists, and their accomplices, created in such short time? Did our intelligence agencies already have open files on these men? Were they already investigating them? Could the attacks of September 11th been prevented?” [US Congress, 9/18/2002] In at least some cases, it appears that US intelligence did quickly access existing files on the hijackers. The Washington Post reports, “In the hours after Tuesday’s bombings, investigators searched their files on [Satam] Al Suqami and [Ahmed] Alghamdi, noted the pair’s ties to [Nabil] al-Marabh and launched a hunt for him.” A top Customs official claims that by checking flight manifests and comparing them with other information such as watch lists, he is able to determine the names of all 19 hijackers by 11:00 a.m.(see (11:00 a.m.)). [Washington Post, 9/21/2001]

That doesn't confirm what Peter said, but I do remember this.

When I listen to things like this...

I'm reminded of things forgotten. These act as a great refresher course for me.
