If I were American , I could be detained without trial and executed for writing this criticism of the government.

Enemy Combatants: A dangerously broad definition of “illegal enemy combatant” in the bill could subject legal residents of the United States, as well as foreign citizens living in their own countries, to summary arrest and indefinite detention with no hope of appeal. The president could give the power to apply this label to anyone he wanted.

It's happening in my country too.

Missing the point...

You miss the point, sir. The fact that one "could" is the danger here. It is now lawful to do so. If you don't see the danger here, then you are either

A) in denial -
–noun 1. an assertion that something said, believed, alleged, etc., is false: Despite his denials, we knew he had taken the purse. The politician issued a denial of his opponent's charges.
2. refusal to believe a doctrine, theory, or the like.
3. disbelief in the existence or reality of a thing.

B) uninformed

Not having, showing, or making use of information; not informed: uninformed voters; an uninformed decision.
