Twin Towers Alliance Issues Letter Urging Support for Rebuilding the Twin Towers - Not the 'Freedom Tower'

E-mail on the Abuse of Power at the WTC -

Dear Twin Towers Supporters,

The people behind the third-rate plans for the WTC are ignorant, arrogant, and powerful. But who is giving them their power? It's not ultimately the media, who prove everyday what patsies most of them are. And it's not the minority of the population that wants to build something else in place of the Twin Towers. It's the silent majority, those who know that the Towers should be rebuilt, but don't speak up and say so because they don't think they can make a difference, who are responsible for what is going on – and it is time for them to find their voices.

George Pataki, Michael Bloomberg, Rudolph Giuliani, Hillary Clinton, and even Eliot Spitzer, think of themselves as presidential material. So why don't we make them care what we think? Most people still believe that the right thing to be built at Ground Zero is Twin Towers. Why would we let them put up a crazy quilt of odd buildings and then have the effrontery to call it The World Trade Center? Why would we let them wear us down until we think that anything is better than nothing? It's NOT.

The Twin Towers were not the target on September 11th, as much as it was the American way of life that came under attack – and that is what will be endangered until we get engaged as a society and stop leaving every fight to someone else. We won't have a country left if we turn away from the incremental ways it is being taken away from us – at the very time we face one of the most lethal enemies we have ever known.
When the politicians and the media are not serving the public good and we do not take back the power we have lent them and object to their manipulations, then it is as if flesh-eating bacteria are at work on the body politic, robbing Americans of their will. If not attacked, that disease could rob us of our country.
In the end, the reason we keep up the fight against the odds is because we are not willing to give this country over to the ignorant, the arrogant, and the powerful.

Please tell everyone you know that it is time to join this movement because the best memorial to all that we lost and all we have still to protect is to rebuild the Towers. Urge them to sign the petition and forward this message on to everyone they know. Urge them to use the LobbyByFax link at the bottom of our petition page. And urge them to understand that there is nothing but spit holding the current plans in place -- and not to believe anything to the contrary.

The Twin Towers Alliance has an ongoing petition to rebuild the twin towers and not the freedom tower - if you feel so inclined go check it out.

Thanks JR for the heads up!

Why is there not a LEAD story here about the Mil. Comm. Act ?

It seems odd that there is not a lead story here about the Military Commissions Act now being law as signed by President Bush today.

It seems obvious that 911bloggers and other dissenters to the official 9/11 story could be easily construed to be aiding and abetting the terrorists and interfering with the goals of the U.S. War on Terror.

Seriously, this story is a

Seriously, this story is a complete joke compared to the Military Comissions Act... Rebuild the towers? gimmie a break... the things were hideous. Rebuilding those 1960-era monstrosities is one of the stupidist ideas I've ever heard. Lets talk about the fact that we're all 'enemy combatants' now...

i've been talking about the

i've been talking about the military commissions act for the last 2 weeks with people i know and on other forums, it definately is a big deal.

this is a 9/11 related website, we don't cover everything, there are plenty of other blogs much better at covering these things, and your more than welcome to write up a blog entry on the subject if you want.

Yes dz, Military Commissions Act is a very big deal!!!

It's urgent that everyone realizes the dangers in this very Gestapo-like new law, IMO!!!

Ice-cold chilling effect on the Demand for 9/11 Truth Movement

I already sensed that one of the intended affects of the Mil. Comm. Act of 2006 was to silence the burgeoning Demand for 9/11 Truth Movement. It will do just that. It is already doing it.

Yes, other sites more tailored to discussing the passage of this atrocity are in existence. However, eventually the non-existence of and other 9/11 Truth sites will be a reality when the Administration comes knocking at your door.

The possible scenario and eventual message from the Administration:

You will either shut the sites down OR you will be arrested, detained, and tried without habeas corpous because you are acting in ways becoming of an "unlawful enemy combatant". You are NOT protecting America. You are hereby notified that you are aiding and abetting the terrorists and interfering with the objectives of the U.S. global War on Terror. Cease and desist.

If and other Demand for 9/11 Truth sites don't think the likelikhood of this scenario is unfolding, it is an even sadder day for America.

no chilling effect

YAWWWNNN. When an administration with an approval rating hovering around 30% is faced with a fast-growing REAL grassroots movement informing people of their worst crimes, do you think they just stand by and watch? No, they sign stupid pieces of paper and then send the word out that they're really really serious and really really scary.

The goon squads can run around and make themselves dizzy looking for Islamofascist sympathizers and collaborators. The rest of us will continue to expose the lies of this administration as is our constitutional duty.

Go ahead, make my day! Start rounding up or even targetting a single truther. Then try to keep people from looking to see what all the fuss is about. Then explain building 7 to them. Go ahead, if that's all they have left, they better be quick about it!

Circling the drain

I don't know how many folks on 911blogger have seen this but the guy who does the Bush approval vs. gas prices graph has another interesting one, flush Bush.

Here here

The towers were hideous assaults to the urban human scale of the city, modernist faceless leviathans.

I say, leave a big pit there and call it Bushco. Graveyard, LLC

I don't know what London's coming to, the higher the buildings the lower the morals.
~ Noel P. Coward

Rebuild the Twin Towers

Spoken like a true taste-less coward.

A coward?

As in, afraid to do or say some particular something?? Pray tell.

Rebuild the Twin Towers

Applying a "Human" scale to super skyscrapers is absurd...I suppose you think the Empire State Building IS "Human" scale, huh? And by adding 100 ft. of height (Twins) it magically becomes something other than "Human Scale"...???

perhaps the wrong term then

OF COURSE NYC downtown was not human scale, per se, ever since skyscrapers came along, although frankly there was something still intimate within that landscape that gave and even still does give a decent feel to the city. This is why people visit, and this is why growing up in Queens I still went to lower Manhattan often enough and loved it.

What was awful with the modernist architecture is the FACELESSNESS of it: unimaginative and utilitarian behemoth rectangles give nothing fresh to the immediate environment; the structures of glass rectangles only mirror back our anxieties, alienations and restless craving for beauty.

Read Hillman, Mumford, Kunstler etc about this issue.

Dense city-scapes CAN be aesthetically practical and generative, and economically productive, but we have entered a time of course when large-scale anything is not going to work. In light of THAT I gave my brief screed on leaving it be down there. Heck, make the area a large community vegetable garden, a model for resurrecting urban community spirit and a plan for economic survival.

Rebuild the Twin Towers

Well then, according to your logic, most of the photographers in the world and the Hollywood industry made a big mistake in spotlighting the Twin Towers in countless movies, book-covers, postcards, badges, etc.
I believe the Twin Towers were not faceless, in fact the uppermost floors in each tower gave them a certain identity unlike any other skyscrapers ever built. To single out the Twin Towers is just plain wrong because there are many Manhattan skyscrapers built almost exactly like the Twins were...There are Towers at Rockefeller Center that have the same basic structure and Chase Manhattan Tower downtown has many of the same elements that the Twins had.

Amen, sod the bloody

Amen, sod the bloody things.

They never paid for themselves--motivation for their sacrifice perhaps?

With all due respect to those who sincerely want a 911memorial, can't you think of something better than an uber-phallic symbol white-washing corrupt imperialism?

(No offence to the lads here; phallic's fine, but there's a time and place...)

Rebuild the Twin Towers

The WTC DID pay for itself by the early 1980's and continued to rake in almost 200 million in yearly profits and fees for the next 20 years up until 9/11/2001, so get your facts straight disinfo dude.

Just do some searches on the following:

-Beverly Willis and her organization, Rebuild Downtown, Our Town (r.Dot) loathed the Twin Towers, and have stated so publicly on several occasions. These groups in general and Ms. Willis in particular have perpetuated several lies, half-truths, and myths about the Twin Towers and the WTC site.

Rebuild the Twin Towers

You can call me a nut or a kook all day long until you're blue in the face, fine, whatever...Just answer me this...Where did you get the idea that the WTC Twin Towers NEVER PAID FOR ITSELF?
According to the years of research I've put into 9/11 and the WTC's history, that's a complete fabrication/myth and you should at least take the time to check out my sources (which I've already posted on this thread) before you yourself start throwing psychological diagnosis and avoiding the issue at hand.
That's it,,,,,end of discussion.

Well frankly I think you should restore the Great Twins. However, if your objection be thus, that they be 1960-monstrosities - I think they look a damnd sight better that the cirka 2010 monstrosity planned for replacing them! So if you don't want to rebuild the Twins, give up the idea of building ANY tower whatsoever.

Rebuild the Twin Towers

I hate to break it to you but most New Yorkers don't like the Freedo Tower and DO want their skyline back....Did you even bother to visit the website before you shot your mouth off?

Chertoff: “Radical Ideologies” Threaten Internet
Tuesday October 17th 2006, 8:44 am

According to Ministry of Homeland Security don Michael Chertoff, “disaffected people living in the US may develop radical ideologies and potentially violent skills over the Internet, something that can present the next major security threat to the nation and to the world,” reports Reuters.

“We now have a capability of someone to radicalize themselves over the Internet,” he told a meeting of the International Association of the Chiefs of Police. “They can train themselves over the Internet. They never have to necessarily go to [a CIA-ISI created] training camp or speak with anybody else and that diffusion of a combination of hatred and technical skills in things like bomb-making is a dangerous combination,” Chertoff said. “Those are the kind of terrorists that we may not be able to detect with spies and satellites.”

Yeah, this stuff about

Yeah, this stuff about chertoff wasn't even mentioned on here today either. Ironic that it happened to create an even greater chilling effect than the passing of that bill. 911blogger instead makes a thread to insure the well being of larry silverstein? This law could put us all in the hooskow with electrodes on our nuts and this is what's put out here. This blog has had a retardo hiccup today!!!

i know man, this is the big story.

this and the bill Bush signed today of course.

Government Targets American Bloggers As Enemy Propagandists
Military, Homeland Security, Bush White House strategy sharpen knives against anyone critical of the "war on terror"

Paul Joseph Watson/Prison | October 17 2006

Recent scientific polls that show around 84% don't believe the government's explanation behind 9/11 and others confirming the fact that support for the war in Iraq is at an all time low have led the Bush administration to sharpen their knives against the new breed of perceived "enemy propagandists," bloggers, journalists and online activists who dissent against the "war on terror."

As Raw Story reports, CENTCOM announced earlier this year that a team of employees would be "[engaging] bloggers who are posting inaccurate or untrue information, as well as bloggers who are posting incomplete information."

As the Bush White House averred a few weeks ago, the neocons “will seek ultimately to deny the Internet to the terrorists as an effective safehaven for their propaganda, proselytizing, recruitment, fund-raising, training, and operational planning,” as the internet is a “cyber safehaven” (sort of like a cave in Afghanistan). “Our enemies use the Internet to develop and disseminate propaganda, recruit new members, raise and transfer funds, train members on weapons use and tactics, and plan operations. Terrorist organizations can use virtual safehavens based anywhere in the world, regardless of where their members or operatives are located. Use of the Internet, however, creates opportunities for us to exploit. To counter terrorist use of the Internet as a virtual sanctuary, we will discredit terrorist propaganda by promoting truthful and peaceful messages.”

We're terrorists...

we should all be afraid.

exactly. laying the groundwork..........

Ah, yah, don't nobody

Ah, yah, don't nobody understand? They're afraid of the truth, and hence truth tellers are terrorists to them lot.

“... may develop radical

“... may develop radical ideologies and potentially violent skills over the Internet, ...,”

“They can train themselves over the Internet. They never have to necessarily go to [a CIA-ISI created] training camp or speak with anybody else and that diffusion of a combination of hatred and technical skills in things like bomb-making is a dangerous combination,”

These people are taking the piss. Yeah, we should be concerned just because they're even trying this bollocks, but I'm here to tell you as a veteran and martial-artist it is impossible to develop deadly physical skills "over the internet".

I just don't see this going anywhere. Everyone uses the Net for reseach and what not; the public knows its limitations. Hell, if the Internet was some kind of "Super teacher" we'd 'ave stopped sending people to university a decade ago.

I suppose there's a silver lining: "Those are the kind of terrorists that we may not be able to detect with spies and satellites.”

Except you know the bastard is lying.

Hey, watch it, I developed a

Hey, watch it, I developed a daunting beer belly and a fearsome appetite for fritos from surfing the internet. I'm sure my arteries consider these terror skills

To those who depend on keeping people stupid so that they are easier to rob, exploit, and enslave.

They really want to establish their elite/dumbass divide as a paradigm.

Those who profited (cui bono) know much about who did it...

Those who profited handsomely from the destruction of the towers & WTC-7 (cui bono) must be close to the top of the 9/11 masterminds!

There was an unlimited number of venues the perpetrators could've chosen to stage their false-flag attacks, and the trail of where all that WTC insurance money went will lead to people with much knowledge & blood on their hands!

Not to mention who will also benefit from rebuilding...

a massive area of NYC real estate like the WTC!

Rebuilding the Towers is the only way. It would be great to have them built merged on two adjecent corners. Believe it or not, I have over a million legos (please do not laugh - 41 year old) and believe me, in all my techniques of building large towers the mergence of corners gives the greatest strength and stability. Just my honest thoughts.

it's no nonsense to rebuild identically

For LIHOPs: Wasn't the destruction of the Twins the accomplishment of the enemies of America? Then rebuilding them would be a symbol of our defiance.

For MIHOPs: Silverstein destroyed it, then he should have to rebuild them as they were. Why reward him by letting him build a brand new skyscraper in the most prestigeous area of all - who else get's such an opportunity? And someone of those conspirators must have disliked the towers, must have wanted them gone, so why not make sure they do *not* get what they want.

- And besides, their simplicity was great - no spirals, glass-look or other stunts, just 2 blocks "cloned" beside each other.

Rebuild the Twin Towers

Rebuilding the Twin Towers (updated versions of course) would be the ultimate "F You!!" to the NWO who carried out 9/11!
Also, it would trigger a new healing effect for all Americans who either lost loved ones or who saw the Twins as a symbol of America.

Legos are like the WTC. Shoot a bullet through them...

and then light 'em on fire, and they won't collapse in a controlled demolition.

Legos tower w/o the central core columns...

YES! The proof! The final

YES! The proof! The final proof, we need it!

Noteworthy, as a symbol of Rockefeller's Greed

I agree, they were much too large. "Inhumane" as we all discovered in time.

Today, as we approach from the South, the physical 'disparity' at grade is also quite alarming. I will give credit to our author's point of view on this basis alone. Something vital is missing. In this isolated context, its like a bullet through the heart of every builder, every dreamer, and for those who think of Manhattan as a precious, vital city that was curiously like a country unto itself. In this case, the Towers were a Crown of glory. Ultimately, the pyramid form is no better, as it attempts to establish a similar scale, noting that it too is equally impossible to destroy efficiently, when it's time comes....

The most laughable phase of the design pilgrimage was certainly the latest, where they illustrated the need to make it a straight-sided concrete impediment for about the first 6 floors. Nope, a car-bomb can't hurt that, no sir-ee! But, what about a Nuke? Doesn't the act of 'rebuilding' almost necessitate BinLaden making another return from the grave?

Perhaps I should not be too cynical, and likely as not, I would have sided with the group of Beyer Blinder Belle, who's overall design integrity does suggest they earned their original place on the usual primate-committees. I believe they actually did front the belief that, without compromise, it could and should have been given "a quaint village-like identity at the first 5 stories," as per the bulk of Tribecca. This would serve the most vital of functions, to provide actual retail services in the neighborhood, just as we might enjoy at Beeker St, etc.

And, most of all, what would a Wall St. Tycoon want most? Would it be the slick, International-style we see filling in the West side Hwy up around Westbeth? Need a fantasy-island $12M. pied-a-terre, How much is enough? Will some floors be combined to create huge, $100M suites? All of that embarks on the absurd, but the truth is there is no morally correct way to end the design argument without a trial! The property now belongs to the people of the USA, all of who have now paid dearly, assuming you believe in confiscating the assets of known 'terrorists.'

Again, NO WAY on doing the Towers over again, not at any scale, except at the sculptural-level. At 1/32 scale, it would make a nice testimonial to the realities behind their grand mistake. Beneath it, there could be a nice granite reflecting-pool with the names of the victims ensconsed in gold, shimmering the light upward.

Access and egress, may also be a topic of intense concern, because we have a built-in disaster waiting to happen with regard to moving people through the city as it is. The PATH obviously pleases most of the Bridge & Tunnel people, but it's decidedly limiting, while parking is nigh unto impossible, without the extra 40,000 people anticipated after completion. Also, I don't feel it should be consolidated as 'one property' at any price, but then I will never enter the gate of Hell again, so WTF! -- Please, go for the concrete Nauseoleum!

A park. A lovely peaceful park.

Where people can go, learn what really happened, and reflect on the real nature of evil in our world. Anything built by the conspirators and/or their accomplices must and will be torn down eventually.

Real Truther a.k.a. Verdadero Verdadero - Harvard Task Force

Rebuild the Twin Towers

Just what do you think Central Park is????
NO! Rebuild the WTC as it was before 9/11 and get those offices and underground mall moving again!!

Yeh! Keep Shopping too!

This is dim-witted thinking JR. The person to whom you replied has a better idea, a new way of looking at things. And you want to get back to the mall. Good American...

Rebuild the Twin Towers

So your great solution is adding a 16 acre park to Manhattan? Geez, what an incredibly original idea! NOT!!
Manhattan already has too many parks so give that Park idea a rest...That real estate is way too valuable to be wasted on naive hippy ideals.
I seriously doubt that 9/11 victims would want us to leave the WTC site empty ... The NWO must not dictate how our civilization is built.

Rebuild the Twin Towers

Of course Silverstein would NOT rebuild the Towers!!! You think Rebuilders don't know Silverstein pulled the WTC on 9/11?
Gimme a break...Of course another developer would have to rebuild the WTC, because Silverstein and his ilk would be in friggin' JAIL!!
I think Donald Trump would be a good choice to rebuild the site, especially since he feels so strongly about rebuilding the Twin Towers as most New Yorkers do.
check out: and

There are more important issues at hand, agreed, but we can't let these NWO bastards ruin the NYC skyline with their illuminati design, which they call "The Freedom Tower". If some of you thought the Twins were an eyesore, get ready to be blinded by this Pataki monstrosity in the works.

"The Ground Zero Rebuilding Scandal" by Justin Berzon

I HIGHLY recommend reading "The Ground Zero Rebuilding Scandal" by Justin Berzon in order to learn about the treasonous and fraudulent acts that have been committed by the government at the WTC site AFTER 9/11.

Not that I think the world

Not that I think the world needs/wants/could give a darn about rebuilding the Twin Towers, but that "Freedom Tower" business is pure nonsense. It'll probably include the gates to Zuul in the top of it, IMO.
