TruthStock 2007

Does anyone remember "Woodstock"?

:)

How great would it be to have every band that endorses 9/11 Truth to have a "Woodstock" type event?

Who's good at making things like that happen? I envision it as being a free event...

What do you think?

Great idea.

Well...

I figured musicians in the "know" would volunteer, and as a result, more would do so to be apart of what could be a "historic" concert.

About concert making.

Could be a job for....

Aaron "WHO" Russo.

Don't forget, Henry "First Amendment Bad-Ass" Rollins!

And ask Tom Waits too, but I'm curtain Gary Hood would be there.

Why not start here?

I'd be there, but that's a

I'd be there, but that's a sure way for a band to get blacklisted. Think the Dixie Chick times one hundred.

Dixie Chicks times one hundred is a bad thing?

Despite minimal airplay, "Taking the Long Way" debuted at number one on both the U.S. pop albums chart and the U.S. country albums chart, selling 526,000 copies in the first week (the year's second-best such total for any country act) and making it a gold record within its first week. The Dixie Chicks became the first female group in chart history to have three albums debut at #1.

"Dixie Chicks times one

"Dixie Chicks times one hundred is a bad thing?"

Guess not.

In fact it's a good thing for them and everyone else. But who's brave enough to make that jump... to take that risk? Again, I'd be there.

Great Idea John, but I think

Great Idea John, but I think we should call it NorthWoodStock  Cool

hate to do it, but LOL

hate to do it, but LOL

Excellent idea!

Excellent idea!

Now, somebody with some links to real musicians who are on record to have already sympathies for 9/11 truth should start to contact them privately.

Also, for the buildup campaign for any such event, don't forget to involve all radio show hosts who are supportive of 9/11 truth. And the film makers...

This has the potential to become BIG. (But it also depends on getting 2 or 3 "big names" to join. Dixie Chicks for a start?)

Im sure it would be possible

Im sure it would be possible to contact the Muse guys through Alex Jones (werent they on his show recently?)
Certainly a very ambitious project though (not the contacting musicians part, but organizing such a thing..). But, a very good idea indeed. Could be used for fundraising for various 911 projects too i guess.
This also got me thinking: there were no '911 truth compilation' cds yet..

"Press for a new, real investigation"

...and the lowest common denominator, errr... the highest common factor for the event should be to press for a new, real, truly independent investigation into 9/11.

That goal should be able to rally a *lot* of people and currents around one common goal.

OT

@ Jon, please tell me what you think about this link I just stumpled over coincidentally...

So who is going to organize

So who is going to organize the Rage Against the Machine reunion for this concert?

Now that would be one hell of a headlining act.
