Bill Maher would impeach Bush for his non-actions on 9/11

On October 25th, Bill Maher was interviewed by Joe Scarborough on the usually worthless program, "Scarborough Country".

They tossed the ball around about impeachment with a Democratically-controlled Congress. Maher said;

"...I'd impeach him for sitting there for seven minutes on 9/11 when he was told the country was under attack."

(The pertinent quote at 4:07 mark.)

I like the fact that Maher is willing to talk about the lack of action at that point in time on 9/11, but I think he's asking the wrong questions. He should also stop mocking 9/11 skeptics, because if it wasn't for them, Maher wouldn't even know about those 7 minutes.

Scarborough video also available at Crooks and Liars for download.

gee, BM looks a lot like Alan Colmes there!

What ever you or I may think

What ever you or I may think of Bill Maher, he does put forward an indisputable point. When a sitting president is told "The country is under attack" he/she has a SWORN duty to protect the country in any way possible. His INACTION at that point in time is indefensible, period.

The dog did not bark...  This goes directly to reason why he did not act.  This hangs the guilt of 9/11 squarely on his shoulders.

Let's not let the ad hominem attacks fly.

Seriously anyone that hasn't

Seriously anyone that hasn't gotten that 9/11 was a clear inside job by now, ESPECIALLY those who are into politics and are suposed to be educated, is an IDIOT, I don't care anymore!
I was for Bush and for the war and I looked at the evidence CRITICALLY and with an open mind even though it ENRAGED me and destroyed my belief system.
OK, maybe not an IDIOT...but you certainly aren't able to analyze data and put two and two together.
Bill Maher either knows and he's paid off or he just isn't as bright as he may seem. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Bill Maher is irrelevent,

Bill Maher is irrelevent, the idea he put forward to possibly millions of americans is.

 See my post above.

The dog did not bark, and everyone knows this.  Bill Maher is a pompous ass, but the point he brings to the table is still damning, and to the benefit of the 9/11 Truth Movement.

That' correct, the dog did not bark and it appears that the public whether they want to or not, are coming to the truth about 9/11 and the sewerage is going to flow everywhere for the stench to permeate even the hardest of the die hard Bushites. Anyone who brings national attention to this matter is a big plus for the nation and regaining our freedoms that are being disolved as we speak. We need a complete overhaul and may it happen soon!

I stopped caring about a month ago!

Six weeks ago it hadn't occurred to me that 9/11 was other than two Muslim-hijacked planes slamming into the Twin Towers and bringing them down, in the process murdering 3000 innocent people, mainly Americans. Then late one night, the documentary "Loose Change" was shown, on a history channel here in Sydney which is, ironically, operated by Rupert Murdoch. I couldn't believe what I saw! But, blow by blow, the film proved to me that 9/11 could only have been a controlled demolition job, which could only have been done with the knowledge and/or connivance of Bush and co themselves. I started to talk to my friends about it and most of them didn't believe me, most knee-jerking "Conspiracy theory!" And now the only thing I find hard to believe is that most people _still_ talk as though 9/11 was 19 Muslims killing 3000 Americans! And a whole lot of these people _will_ not look at the very video evidence disproving this. It’s been filmed, it’s on video, for heavens sake! In a normal court case, if you can produce a video recording of the crime being tried, the court case will be over in 20 minutes! These people simply will not. We are the "conspiracy theorists" and that is the end of the matter. These people are no ordinary idiots, as you suggest - they are bloody-minded. Their game is not the truth, their game is to support Bush, or the GOP, or right-wing politics, or war-mongering, or Israel, right or wrong, or religious fundamentalism, or anti-liberalism, or anti-gay rights, or anti-pro choice, or some other either/or lunacy, using the truth if it suits them or otherwise using half-truths and even outright lies. This is what any propaganda machine does, and the people thus brainwashed do not even suspect that they are being used. But remember how we used to argue like that ourselves in college, foam at the mouth, cherry-picking only the facts that supported us (and our paroxysms making us feel good)? Perhaps it's the mark of a grown-up person to have risen above any partisanism, and to have become more open and impartial. At first I was a bit scared too to loudly proclaim that 9/11 could only have been an inside job. But then I found all the other courageous individuals, mainly on the Internet, who, in spite of your new pro-torture, anti-_habeas corpus_ laws, do loudly proclaim just that, that this administration is the most spectacularly corrupt the world has ever seen (spectacular because it’s so blatant). Australia is not as bad; it doesn't have the same “homeland security” laws as you do in America. But, brown-nosing to the last, prime minister John Howard managed to sneak in a few nice little laws of his own late one night, one of which makes calling him an idiot a _seditious_ act. (But you _are_ an idiot, John, don't you want to know the truth?) We know that politicians on the world stage don't have any shame. John Howard will therefore not lose any sleep over a) the fact that he has been made a complete fool of by his “friend” George Bush, and b) has supported the whole criminal episode that is Iraq, where the "coalition of the willing" is using depleted uranium to add to the untold suffering they are causing. And at the start of all this is the inside job of 9/11.
Sydney, Australia

I don't get it . . .

did we not find out about this way back when "Fahrenheit 911" came out? That was Michael Moore. Bill Maher is coming forth with some kind of 911 revelation here? NOT. Okay, good for him, he is saying SOMETHING now. But he is way late in his criticism of the President. Very late indeed. That is not an ad hominen attack. That is just the plain truth. He waited until it became "popular" to criticize the President. And now, 3 years into the Iraq War, he's suddenly having all these articles critical of the President and his policies published in Huffington Post. I AM glad for whatever positive attention 911 truth can get on mainstream media. But Maher still makes me ill cuz he's just SUCH a wuss. :p

Okay, that was an ad hominem attack. Sorry. I'm only human and the guy makes me sick.

Hear, hear...this is but a

Hear, hear...this is but a snowflake on the tip of the iceberg!

But still impeachable and if

But still impeachable and if this is how the real investigation is going to begin, then let's go for it. (Same guy)

Joe Wilson re: tin foil.

This is not specific to September 11, but Joe Wilson claims: "There are no tinfoil hats anymore."

"In short, Wilson anticipates that starting November 8th (or more likely in January, when the new Congress takes office), the United States will very likely have not one, but several Constitutional crisis' occur."

"I prefaced my question by admitting that I might be going into tinfoil hat territory. Unfortunately, Wilson stated that at this point, under this administration "there are no tinfoil hats anymore."

Tin Foil and Strange Loves

Insightful analysis clearly points to a coup by a rogue network from within. The US government leadership survived this putsch by capitulating to the coup plotters demand: The War of Civilizations starts now! This is understood by the cowed media elite whose reports echo the "official" story. The rogue network though does not exercise total control. A disgruntled faction of oligarchs are agitating to pull back from the brink, understanding the Strange Love insanity behind the folly and the generals are now with them.

We're seeing this in numerous limited hangouts; e.g. Woodward's "State of Denial" and Thomas E. Ricks' "FIASCO: The American Military Adventure in Iraq," to name but two. And just announced, on Monday the Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times will run a joint editorial calling for the resignation or removal of the defense secretary Rumsfeld. Again, this is all "limited hangout," indeed, pressure relief as well against the burgeoning 911Truth movement.

It's good to see the 9/11 coup plot transcending civil engineering. That will of course all come out, but the imperative to stopping the Strange Love madmen before they start WWIII, is in exposing their coup and forcing an aggressive investigation.

I urge one and all to hit the Left Gatekeeper and Left of Center blogs to impart the 911Truth message. Hanging out here (with the choir) is informative, but the message must go out.

I often think about the

I often think about the reported attempt on his life earlier that morning.... what was that all about?

Was there really an attempt to assassinate the President on the morning of 9/11?

There was definatly a threat

There was definatly a threat to his life.....

"Angel is next" was phoned into the Secret Service, and Angel is a code name for AF1.

This has been confirmed by several sources and even Condi stated that was true on a Fox interview shortly after 9/11.

This is strong evidence to 9/11 being an inside job, and that Bush was probably told to go along or he would end up like JFK.

thats right, angel is next

thats right, angel is next as well. but i still dont know where Tarpley got that from, interesting as it sounds.

There are several

There are several reports.... Here is one....

"They also feared that Air Force One itself was a target. Cheney told the president there was a credible threat against the plane. Using the code name for Air Force One, Mr. Bush told an aide, “Angel is next.” The threat was passed to presidential pilot Col. Mark Tillman."

Angel is next in the 911 commission?

Does anyone know if the "angel is next" comment was investigated by they 911 commission?

I think it is evidence that someone who knew the code for air force one (likely in the gov't) was behind the threat to AF1.

All aspects of the truth are consistent

Yes it was, but they said

Yes it was, but they said that it was a farce! Yet in the article I provided, Bush himself is saying that AF1 was threatened from a credible source.

It's a CYA in process..... If they did not say there was no such thing, then this would surely indicate that it was an inside job. By trying to kill it in the commission report, they can attempt to discredit the story.

However, they are forgetting that the story has come from the President!

Now, I want to turn to one other area where there has been some misconception. And perhaps I can start with Admiral Leidig. In this regard, you were a participant on the Air Threat Conference Call.

ADM. LEIDIG: Yes, sir.

MR. BEN-VENISTE: And do you recall at some point -- we have it at 10:37 -- that the vice president of the United States reported on that call that there was an anonymous threat against Air Force One, using the then-code name Angel, that it was to be the next target? Do you recall that, sir?

ADM. LEIDIG: Sir, I think that occurred right after I was relieved on the watch by General Winfield. Right after we resolved what was going on with United 93, around that time General Winfield took over. So I'm familiar because I've looked at the transcript, but I wasn't on the conference at that time.

MR. BEN-VENISTE: Now, let me ask General Eberhart and General Arnold whether that information was communicated to you in any real- time basis.

GEN. EBERHART: No, sir, not to me.

MR. BEN-VENISTE: The information, according to the staff, that that was another phantom report, that there was no anonymous call, there was no use of the code name Angel for Air Force One or a statement that Air Force One was to be next, and yet that mythology was perpetuated for some weeks, if not months, thereafter. And as we know, those things, it's hard for them to go away.

So to the best of your knowledge here, do you have any information which would suggest that there was a threat received on September 11th against Air Force One?

GEN. EBERHART: I was not aware of it that day nor this day, Mr. Commissioner.

MR. ARNOLD: Nor was I.

MR. BEN-VENISTE: Thank you, Mr. Chairman.

im not positive, but wasnt

im not positive, but wasnt it the same "team" or faction that took out Ahmed Massoud, head of the Northern Alliance? he was killed on Sept.9,2001. gee, i wonder who made that happen? anyway, what i remember reading is that he was taken out by people posing as journalists, and that Bush's secret service detail on 9/11 was approached outside of where he was that morning by "journalists" who said they had set up an interview, but the secret service turned them away. i forget where i read that though.

coup d'etat on 9/11?

Many things point to the theory that Cheney (who else) played a game with Bush on 9/11 and behind the smokescreen of the "attacks" Cheney grabbed all presidential powers. Maybe Bush was wondering in the classroom what trick they were playing on him - his face fits that of someone that did expect "something" but is wondering why something else happened. These people rule by intimidation - Cheney dug up dirt about Bush, and so he became his new puppetmaster. (Latest from is that John McCain is similarly being intimidated by Bushco.)

John McCain, who i have

John McCain, who i have never trusted, has been especially disgusting lately. hes such a goddamn coward. yes, Bush is happy and content not rocking the boat while Cheney does what he does.

It seemed eerily similar to the assassination attempt on Reagan in 1981...

If Reagan had been killed then Bush Sr. could have been President for 11 years....

Not sure if Cheney could have pulled that one off.

Both may have been an intimidation tactic..... Guessing Bush Sr. knew about both attempts.... how sick is that..

What is Georgies "Boner" nickname?..... the temporary?

oh i go a step further on

oh i go a step further on that one. remember, George H.W. Bush is an ex CIA honcho. he wasnt just a field operative. he more than knew about the Reagan attempt in my opinion, not to mention few other high profile killings........

But to go as far as to put a

But to go as far as to put a hit on your own son..... he wanted this one bad!

that was evil enough to clear him of any accusation.... would have also given them more of an excuse to amp up the theiving of our rights

as well as additional excuses for complete failure of our defense systems.... lost in the chaos of it all.

Yet this allows me to give Bush slack for sitting in that classroom in utter shock...wondering what he should do at that point.... would they make another attempt on him when he left the school?

He had to be thinking he was as safe in that school as anywhere else

haha, i wasnt implying that

haha, i wasnt implying that he was behind that, i was saying he was behind the Reagan attempt. but i sure as hell wouldnt put it past the old spook.

Journalism in USA on its lows...

You know what? Journalism in USA reached lowest possible standards...
What is this, this shouting, putting your words into someone's mouth, interrupting, sneering laugh??
There is something like a culture of discussion and it has been gone since long time on US tv....
I'd expect having more pleasant, fruitful, informative discussion with some lump on the street in Europe than
with this tv guy...

I understand that the journalist might has his opinions and he has a right to express it, but why to shout?
An opinion of a reporter should be a merely an ilustration to an interviewed person, a reporter always
has the advantage and the last word.

Maybe I've been to harsh but the overall conclusion stays...

Bill Maher made fun of

Bill Maher made fun of Charlie Sheen for being in the Truth Movement, joking about "researcher Charlie Sheen." How are Maher's credentials as a comedian any better than Sheen's as an actor? I did recently see some video of Maher leaving a party in the wee hours, swaying on the sidewalk with a young vixen, waiting for his vehicle. Does this mean we should disregard everything Maher says, seeing as he's living a Charlie Sheen-like existence?

Comic about

Christy Todd Whitman

She appeared on his show last week. He gave her a complete walk over 9/11. Bill Mahre is a big sloppy pussy!

“it is possible to fool all the people all the time—when government and press cooperate.” George Seldes - "legendary investigative reporter"

Bill Maher is too arrogant to examine the evidence

I always watch Bill Maher for is humor but several times the subject of 9/11 being an inside job has come up for a brief sentence of discussion on his panel and he treats those claims as 'tin-foil hat' conspiracy theories only. His excuse: the Bush administration is too incompetent to pull off 9/11.

Bill, get this through your head... Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld and their friends are making billions off this war. They're destroying our civil liberties/constitution. Dumbing down our society. Expanding presidential executive power and expanding corporate power and influence. Claiming new territory for oil exploration and spreading American hegemony all across the globe. In their eyes, this is MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

It's sad actually. He could be a good spokesperson with a decent size audience for 9/11 Truth but he's still just stuck on the "DEMOCRAT=GOOD, REPUBLICAN=BAD" concept.

Ahem. Bill, open your F___ing eyes and read!

"A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves" – Edward R. Murrow

Get used to it...

There's always going to be people who you may like for one reason or another that just aren't willing to try to see your point of view on certain issues. I would say for Maher, a celeb., that it probably doesn't benefit him or the high rollers in the democratic party he hangs with to destroy the 2 party system just yet. They want us to keep playing this bullshit game of coinflipping for our parties. People like Maher are only going to change when the system has completely cracked. Why give up your access to the upper stratum of society if you don't need to?

It's blatantly obvious what's happening with him and other high profile individuals. Just think about it.

"... In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual." (Galileo Galilei, 1564 - 1642)

why cant Maher take this one step further

and at least say

- the president endangered the lives of the children, and the staff of the entire school by not leaving the classroom immediatly.

-the president endangered the lives of every single man woman and child that was living inside the united states by not acgting when his chief of staff told him we are under attack (that is if you believe he had no knowledge of 9/11 and didnt know already what targets were going to be hit)

Is this the beginning of the Scapegoating?.....

....personally, my money was on Cheney...his death would be so much easier to fake....(Ken Lay reference)....

From Vanity Fair:

I mean, we've got gatekeeper Maher, referencing those embarassing 7 minutes, where Bush was left hanging out to dry with "My Pet Goat" and could be easily, endlessly mocked by the MSM if the gloves were taken off...

Meanwhile, the Neo-Fascists and their sponsors dance off into the sunset with their billions....

This is just nonsense. Maher

This is just nonsense. Maher won't say Bush should have never been in the school in the first place. they knew 4 planes were hijacked and the FIRST plane that hit the building was hijacked. they obviously didn't need to wait for the second plane to hit.

The Iraq War...

Is a massive scandal. MASSIVE. In some respects, moreso than 9/11. I openly admit that. The harm caused by this war is multiplied by 1000 when compared to 9/11.

However, Iraq would NOT have happened had it not been for 9/11. Simple. It would NOT have happened.

Since the cause of the Iraq War has been found to be full of lies, contradictions, and cover-ups, then that cause is no longer justified.

Especially when you take into account that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. It had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11, period.

Especially when you take into account that all of the information pertaining to 9/11 points towards a criminal conspiracy within our very own Government. That completely nullifies the Afghanistan war as well.

Bringing out the truth of 9/11 ends the Iraq War. Bringing out the truth of 9/11 ends all of the illegal legislation that has been passed since. Bringing out the truth of 9/11 gives this country the ability to correct itself. By facing the truth, we can then begin to correct the cause of it.

Facing the truth would also finally give this country, and all of the people affected by that tragic day, closure.

Bill Maher asked a good question I thought. After all, I think most of us wondered why he didn't bother to get up to do anything when we first learned of those 7 minutes. Then, over time, we began to focus on the actions of the Secret Service, and other aspects of his time at the Elementary School.

I'm not by any means defending Bill Maher. Personally, I think he's not very bright.

"It was all about finding a way to do it. That was the tone of it. The president saying ‘Go find me a way to do this."

There is no closure Jon. Not for this. Although 9/11 exposure will hopefully rid us of a corrupt government and it will be a lesson to leaders that follow, the repercussions are not simple. We will see suicides. We will see violence, civil unrest and riots. This will be devastating to all of us as a nation. Watching our leaders being brought to The Hague in chains, as Gore Vidal recently stated, will send this country into the darkest of depressions. Our great country lost to a bunch of thieves. My fathers years in WWII, wasted. Millions of soldier’s lives fighting for the flag…wasted. The tortured years my friend endured with her children, hating Muslims after her accountant husband was killed at the Pentagon…wasted. The end result is going to be ugly.

I disagree...

I think seeing those held responsible, accountable, will do a lot for this country. Because that could ONLY happen if the people of this great nation, and it IS great, stand up, and oppose the fascists in power. That, in and of itself, will be a "pick me upper" for the country.

I think it will certainly give the family members some closure. They certainly deserve it.

I've been doing this for a long time. The people of the movement have not been violent. There hasn't been any civil unrest, nor have there been riots. Certainly enough people know about it by now. I think a lot of Americans are afraid to stand up. Personally, I'm more afraid of what will happen if we don't, than if we do.

"It was all about finding a way to do it. That was the tone of it. The president saying ‘Go find me a way to do this."

It will be ugly...

if that day EVER COMES. But after the depression and realization by the American public that this whole "America: the good guys in the white hat thing" is blown to pieces by all the lies, I really think there will be a mass awakening and a change for the better. Of course, I may be delusion too. ;-)

"A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves" – Edward R. Murrow

No...Exposure, Punishment, and Justice...

.....will cleanse this nation....

Bill Maher: Zionist gatekeeper

Bill Maher made fun of Charlie Sheen for quesioning 911. Do you think this Jewish Supremicist asshole is ever going to mention Israel's role in 911, let alone their responsibility for the Iraq War? Never. If I am wrong, I will be happy to be corrected.
