New Eminem Track References Wire Tapping, Political Assassinations, and 9/11

A track entitled 'Public Enemy #1' on Eminem's upcoming mixtape The Re-up caught my ear this afternoon. The track features a simple almost militant style beat somewhat similar in tone to his last politically motivated track Mosh. While Mosh (which New York magazine called “the most important piece of mainstream dissent since the 60s”) alluded to 9/11 via caricatures of Bush reading 'My Pet Goat' and newspaper clippings on 9/11 (including the infamous 'Bush Knew' New York Post article), this new track goes into much darker subjects.

Frames referencing 9/11 in Eminem's 'Mosh' music video

The track makes references to his phones being tapped, how an FBI van might pull up and he might just disappear, or maybe get taken out by a sniper one day. He goes on to say how he is focused on writing as many tracks as he can just incase something happens, and takes it one step further saying that he has already accepted he would be killed and then painted negatively for his actions. This is the point where the track briefly references 9/11 (after mentioning tremendous tremors) before going on to talk about 2 Pac predicting his death, and JFK's assasination - an allusion to them both being killed for being 'public enemy #1' in the past.

(more after the break..)

Here is a rough set of lyrics:

I sense someone's tapping into my phones why do...
I got this feeling in my bones I might die soon...
The F.B.I might be tryin to pull my file soon...
I might be walking blind fold into a typhoon...
I might be seeing rockets light up the night sky...
Right outside of the window of my living room...
And if they do you can say goodnight and bye bye to them itunes...
If I don't try to record as much before I do...
The plan is to have as many in the can as I can...
As I stand before you in this booth a walking deadman...
Blank stare, dead pan look as my face as I gaze into space...
As I wait to be scooped up in that van...
Mysteriously disappear into thin air...
And they gon' say a sniper just appeared out of no where...
And I'll go down in the history as the blood sucking leech...
Who hid behind the freedom of speech...
Tried to take the fifth amendment use it, twist it and bend it...
(???)
The business way to end this...
I can feel the tremors tremendous...
In remembrance of September 11...

Flash back to September 7th...
When Tupac was murdered in Vegas...
He said that he predicted his own death...
Let us never forget it or should we ever live to regret it...
Like the day John F Kennedy was assassinated in broad day...
By a craze lunatic with a gun...
Who just happened to work on the same block in a library book depository...
Where the President would go for a little Friday stroll...
Shots fired from the grassy knoll...
But they don't know or do they?...
Who's they for them to say? Touché...
We're all vulnerable and it's spooky...
This is about as kooky as I've ever felt now...
Count down to Nuclear Meltdown...
7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...
You can run you can do what you want to...
But you know you ain't gonna do nuttin...
When its time its your time...
You are the prime target...
You have become Public Enemy Number 1...

While Eminem is not known for being a 9/11 skeptic, and he has not overtly stated that he is one, there is plenty to suggest that he is at least a questioner of the official story. Not only does this track and the Mosh track reference 9/11, but his former DJ - Green Lantern - had the track 'Bin Laden' by Immortal Technique (featuring Mos Def) alongside tracks by Eminem and other members of Shady Records. There are other past references to 9/11 as well such as a mockery of Bin Laden speaking to a camera, and having the backdrop fall down and reveal Dick Cheney and other members of the Bush administration. Most of these references have been scattered about so far, but perhaps that will change soon.

This is not Eminem's new album, it is a mix tape for his label Shady Records, but it may give an idea as to what direction Eminem will go in his next solo album - or at least we can hope. One thing is for certain, if he did go down this direction further in the future he most assuredly would become 'public enemy #1'.

exactly.. that's the thing,

exactly..

that's the thing, there are a ton of quick 1 line references all throughout his music.. but most people totally miss them..

My songs can make you cry, take you by surprise.. and at the same time, make you dry your eyes with the same rhyme [..] i'd yank my fuckin teeth before Id ever bite my tongue [..] More pain inside o my brain, than in the eyes of a little girl inside of a plane.. aimed at the World Trade.. standin on Ronnies grave.. Maybe he won't bite his tongue in his next album, you know he has been holding back.

Well...

I only like that one song. I'm not really an Eminem expert.

Eminem is where it's at,

Eminem is where it's at, JayZ is where it's not. JayZ the best example of a sellout. He comes from Brooklyn where it is the common struggle to fight against the man (corporate oppression) yet the first chance to partner up with the man (Bill Gates, he's willing to sellout. Eminem keeps it real, JayZ Enemy of the people.

JayZ is a B-itch

JayZ is a B-itch

i second that. and 2pac is

i second that. and 2pac is the greatest of all time.(not his "California Love" commercial type stuff, his REAL music like "Me Against The World".)

2pac and BigE were too

2pac and BigE were too talented and too much of threat to the stablishment. These fellas would not have bowed before the masters like JayZ and 50cent (I get a kick out the new Wall Street ad campaign which has 50Cent reading the Wall Street Journal - fa real - I'm pretty sure he didn't graduate high school). 2pac had the potential to sway a vast amount of the population and the potential to make alot of money which ultimately means power. The masters don't like to share power. They reward their underlings well, but the underlings take their orders from the top. This is how much of the media and hollywood operates, you get to become a star and get the breaks needed after you sign a deal with the devil. So JayZ, fuck off sellout.

i totally agree about 2pac

i totally agree about 2pac having the potential to sway a vast amount of the population and having power, he was on his way and getting bigger, but Biggie was just a rapper in my opinion, he didnt speak about social issues like 2pac did. and personally, i think Biggie is one of the most overrated rappers of all time. hes good at what he does, but its pretty basic stuff(his subject matter, not his technical skills). i know 2pac made a lot of mindless shit as well, but it was still pretty good, and nobody can listen to the album "Me Against The World" or even lots of his later stuff and say that 2pac was just some rapper. a lot of his music is surprisingly deep, its too bad he didnt make any of that stuff his singles. i think 2pac was killed by Suge Knight though, not any government hit there in my opinion. though the FBI was watching both Biggie and 2pac at the time of their deaths. so who knows for sure? as far as Jay-Z, he started out as a Biggie clone, then he became just another pop-star/rapper. hes always been total trash in my opinion. Immortal Technique is one of the only rappers i can listen to at this point. Nas seems to have lost his mind again..........

The whole enchilada with

The whole enchilada with Immortal Technique, the only real rap today. I guess your right about Biggie, but I really loved his style.

"like JayZ and

"like JayZ and 50cent"

Didn't 50Cent sell crack? Can you say, "accessory to genocide?"

I disagree

Tupac is from Marin County, but pretends to be from the hood. If anyone is from the bay area, you know that Marin is one of the most expensive places to live. Tupac may have been a decent musician but he was a phony.

Marin City in Marin County can be a rough place.....

I put one of my freeway blogs down that way this morning.

Yes, most of Marin is very, very expensive and filled with millionaires and billionaires. (I should know I used to work for many of them) We have our rock stars, movies stars, high tech wunderkinds and financial goliaths, but there is also a significant population of day laboring latinos only a few minutes away.

There are still many blue collar types, too.

BTW - West Marin is dairy farms and fantastic coastal areas, please come and visit.

The mountain bike was born here, as well. Lots of good live music every night, too.

The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.

Be well.

Well I hope he and Chuck D

Well I hope he and Chuck D get together and do a remake of "911 is a Joke"

agreed!

i've been hoping for that for awhile now. i always thought it was cool that PE had a song titled that. a remake w/ Chuck & Em...i doubt Flav would jeopordize his "Reality" stardom though. shame too.

"Shady Records was 80

"Shady Records was 80 seconds away from the towers. Some cowards fucked with the wrong building. They meant to hit ours."

From Em's verse on the track Patiently Waiting from 50 Cent's first album

Let's not forget how much Jadakiss stirred things up just by saying "Why did Bush knock down the towers?" just one time. Has he even had another chance in the mainstream since that?

Hey thats some cool idea

Hey thats some cool idea !!!!! 9/11 is a joke !!!!!!! nice one !!!!!! Great song

The best rapper on our side is IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE. He did a show this past September 11th, which was part of the INVESTIGATE 9/11 events in NYC that day.

Check out IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE - REVOLUTIONARY VOL 2

Burn it off the fuckin' internet and bump outside! Yeahhhh Nigga!

----Lyrics----
Got my back to the wall, cause I'm facin' assassination
Guantanamo Bay, federal incarceration
How could this be the land of the free, home of the brave?
Indigenous holocaust, and the home of the slaves
Corporate America, dancin' offbeat to the rhythm
You really think this country never sponsored terrorism?
Human rights violations, we continue the saga
El Savador and the contras in Nicaragua
And on top of that, you still wanna take me to prison
Just cause I won't trade humanity for patriotism

IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE

It's so rare to find a hip-hop artist that has something intelligent to say.
I'm so sick of rappers that spew the same ghetto cliches over and over again.

please digg this if you feel

It's good that Eminem has the balls to tackle these issues. I wonder why MoveOn.org, DemocracyforAmerica, and TrueMajority.org are too scared of it. Waiting for someone else to cross that Rubicon? We'll see.

Touching the hearts of many?

I suppose this is the best way to get a rise out of the mainstream, as my best friend Mike, (a total red-neck disbeleiver) is probably already hot to buy this new CD to compliment his ever-so-obnoxious hip-hop collection. (At 53, I'm a lot more into my JJ Cale records.) That's why he "needs" a bigger sub.-
Shoulda- woulda reminded him, before he maxed out his newest Visa; "It's the economy, stupid!"

Yo, SlimShady, What's with the points system?

I'm telling you; "hip-hop sucks."

She loves you Yeah, yeah, yeah!

if all you know about Hip

if all you know about Hip Hop is from BET and MTV ,then yes, your absolutely right.

I was reading John McCain's

I was reading John McCain's intro to "Debunking 9-11 myths" and he stated there was overwhelming evidence that Al-Qaeda caused the attacks, but didn't say what any of it was. He also said 9-11 Truthers were dishonoring the memory of the dead. That is truly baseless. Stupid emotional appeal. When a person is murdered, do people accuse the cops investigating of dishonoring the victim? Do people say the cops should stop investigating because some questions might disturb family members? And the further statement that 9-11 Truthers are dishonoring the firefighters and police, etc. is stupid as well. The fire fighters going into the building really has nothing to do with who caused the situation. And asking who caused the situation has nothing to do with the firefighters' actions. I despise John McCain. I have no dount the Presidency has probably been promised to him, as long as he keeps spouting complete disinfo, all the time.

I can kinda understand Mcain

I can kinda understand Mcain not listing all the evidence....I mean it is only an introduction to a book that purports to give us all that information. The question is .....do they cite any of the "overwhelming evidence" in the chapters? probably not. I would like to read this book (not buy it though) if anybody knows if there is an online version please post a link.

Hey Werther: Well, the

Hey Werther: Well, the book (like McCain) doesn't cover any of the "overwhelming Al-Qaeda evidence" either. The book is pure disinformation. Most of its sourcing just goes back to the 9-11 Commission report. I'll give one example of how a lot of their "proof" works. They mentioned that "conspiracy theorists" conjecture bombs must have gone off in the WTC because of the video evidence of all the lobby windows blown out. Their explanation - ignited jet fuel poured down the elevator shafts and caused "fiery damage" down below. That may well be true, but the lobby did not show "fiery damage." There was no smoke, there were no blackened areas, which should have been prominent as the lobby walls were like a white or cream color. It was more like concussion damage to merely have windows blown out. (By the way, how are your sorrows these days?)

"By the way, how are your

"By the way, how are your sorrows these days?)"
you hit it right on the head. (its my favorite book)

what is the likelihood of jet fuel making its way down so many hermatically sealed floors?

HOW ABOUT AN ACTION ITEM

HOW ABOUT AN ACTION ITEM (i.e., letter writing, etc...) SHOWING SUPPORT FOR EM'S TRUTH TENDENCIES?

PEOPLE RISK A LOT BY COMING OUT FOR TRUTH, WE NEED TO SHOW THEM THAT MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE BEHIND THEM.

If you think Eminem is

If you think Eminem is paranoid, think again.

I’ve always thought that musicians present a profound danger to the establishment, and declassified documents show that I’m definitely not alone in this opinion. As Sarah Jane Moore wrote of the FBI’s campaign against the sixties counterculture: I remember Worthington (my Bureau control) saying: “you don’t seem to realize that this is war!” Even the establishment figure Elvis Presley was considered a weapon of mass destruction:

“I feel an obligation to pass on to you my conviction that Presley is a definite danger to the security of the United States”
- from one of the 663 declassified FBI documents on Elvis Presley

For some reason we all accept the assassination theories with respect politicians but tend to shy away from the idea that the cryptocracy might designate a similar fate for politically oriented musicians. This is nonsensical; if anything, musicians present an even greater danger because they transcend politricks as usual and cannot be co-opted into the traditional liberal paradigm. I highly recommend Alex Constantine’s book on the subject: “The Covert war against rock”. He makes a compelling case that most of the great “suicides” and “Od’s” we’re familiar with were no such thing.

A few quotes from the book:

“That’s what killed us,” recollects Roger McGuinn, lead guitarist for theByrds. “We got blackballed after drug allegations in ‘Eight miles High,” and Hoover’s spies never seemed far away.”

“They were pounding on [David] Crosby, when suddenly the FBI appeared. You know, ‘FBI, son. Break it up!” They took these guys out and sent them off to their room. I don’t know if it was just a coincidence, but what were the FBI doing in the middle of Iowa?

“the exact cause of death remains a mystery”.
- Dr. Margaret Grenwald on the death of Gram Parsons

“The next time I go to seattle will be in a pine box”
- Jimi Hendrix, shortly before his death

“All of the youngsters still think he [Hendrix] was a drug addict. The problem was, when he died, I was told by the coroner not to talk until after the inquest, so that’s why all these wild stories came out that he overdosed on Heroin”

“Jim [Morrison] was in excellent health before traveling to Paris”
- Dr. Dewin, Jim Morrison’s personal physician

“No autopsy was performed on Jim Morrison—a violation of French law”

Take everything I own,
Take your tap from my phone
And leave my life alone.
My life alone.
- Phil Ochs
-
“Only a handful of Marley’s most trusted comrades knew of his whereabouts before the festival, but a member of the film crew, or so he claimed—he didn’t have a camera—managed to talk his way past machete bearing Rastas to enter the encampment: Carl Colby, son of the late CIA director William Colby. And he came bearing a gift.

Former Black Panther and oscar winning cinematographer Le Lew-Lee was close friends with members of the Wailers, and he believes that Marley’s cancer can be traced to the boots Colby gave him before the Smile Jamaica festival. “He put his foot in and said, ‘”Ow! A friend got in there”. He said he pulled a length of copper wire out—embedded in the boot.”

"Laurel and Hardy, that's John and Yoko.
And we stand a better chance under that guise…
Because all the serious people like
Martin Luther King and Kennedy and Gandhi got shot."
John Lennon

“Lennon's FBI file - at nearly three hundred pages as chubby as Hoover himself - reveals that he was under "constant surveillance." Nor did the G-men keep a particularly low profile around the ex-Beatle, apparently attempting to harass him into silence or at least drive him nuts, similar to the tactic they had used on Martin Luther King, Jr., a few short but eventful years earlier.

In late 1972, when the "surveillance" was at its peak, Lennon told humorist Paul Krassner, "Listen, if anything happens to Yoko and me, it was not an accident."

“Could I identify the killer of my friend Tupac Shakur if the police showed me photos or a lineup of suspects? Possibly so. The thing is that the las Vegas Metro Police never even tried to show me a photo of the shooter.

We do not believe in coincidences. We believe history has demonstrated that the murder of Black people who can have a profound impact, those who refuse to bow down…have and will be targeted by the government at it highest level.”
- - Dr. Mutulu Shakur

Tupac Shakurs mother was a

Tupac Shakurs mother was a former Black Panther. just thought i would add that.

and...

The black panther movement was INFESTED with CIA during the 1960s and 70s. That is what brought them down. They are still very deeply connected. I know people who are actually in this "movement" unlike most of you I assume and it is a very swindling con-game on blacks.(as with any "movement" like gobal warming, anti-war(but support the troops!?) bullshit)
For a good example, look at Boots Riley(BIG black panther connections). Who designed his album cover?
Explosions, exactly where they occured on the WTC appear on a album released in July 2001 called "The Coup". This is a psychological attack , not about "oil" or "money". How could it be? America is a zero-sumk game. 7 trillion in debt!

NWOrderoutofChaos indeed!

hey

You all are awake but still very sleepy. Eminem is in it for the money. If he gets killed it will only be to affect the useless 9/11 truth movement in a psychological way. The Bush Admin. will get busted for 9/11 when Osama does, meaning never. Expect a lot of focus on these pasties with their endless trails. Bush Jr. ain't got nothin to do with this boys. Get your pasty white asses off the internet and make some noise(without bullhorns and junk-science please) before no sources -"Dr." Steven Jones and space beam- Fetzer lead you spiralling down into the oblivion.

anyways

Who runs this website anyways? I'm sure your intentions are good but am I wrong to assume you are down the wrong track? "The clothes THEY don't want you to wear" How fucking CIA is that shit? Quotes by Ray McGoovern? A guy that changes his shtick depending on where he is making an appearance? He is only 9/11 truth at 9/11 truth conferences. "Wow a "former" cia agent "Speaking the truth". MY HERO!

We all need to really wake up and get together. Not sleep-talking the truth.

I don't mean for these messages to be malignant in anyway. You just have to be blunt with these things, the way they are headed.

I woke up when I showed up at an anti-war protest and was handed pamphlets about global warming, alongside pictures of Karl Bin Rove with devil horns.
