Coverage of McKinney's Impeachment Bill Mentions 9/11 Coverup

McKinney introduces bill to impeach Bush -

In what was likely her final legislative act in Congress, outgoing Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney announced a bill Friday to impeach
President Bush.

The legislation has no chance of passing and serves as a symbolic parting shot not only at Bush but also at Democratic leaders. Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has made clear that she will not entertain proposals to sanction Bush and has warned the liberal wing of her party against making political hay of impeachment.

McKinney, a Democrat who drew national headlines in March when she struck a Capitol police officer, has long insisted that Bush was never legitimately elected. In introducing her legislation in the final hours of the current Congress, she said Bush had violated his oath of office to defend the Constitution and the nation's laws.

McKinney has made no secret of her frustration with Democratic leaders since voters ousted her from office in the Democratic primary this summer. In a speech Monday at George Washington University, she accused party leaders of kowtowing to Republicans on the war in
Iraq and on military mistreatment of prisoners.

McKinney, who has not discussed her future plans, has increasingly embraced her image as a controversial figure.

She has hosted numerous panels on Sept. 11 conspiracy theories and suggested that Bush had prior knowledge of the terrorist attacks but kept quiet about it to allow friends to profit from the aftermath. She introduced legislation to establish a permanent collection of rapper Tupac Shakur's recordings at the National Archives and calling for a federal investigation into his killing.

Thanks to Jon Gold for the heads up!

and it mentioned Tupac! what

and it mentioned Tupac! what a great woman.

tupac is a man

tupac is a man

Umm... yeah?

Cynthia McKinney is a woman.

(a minute later and I'm still laughing. This was not directed at you casseia, it was the entire situation...hahaha)

"Who's on First?"....

....yeah, that was funny....

i was joking...

i was jes joking... McKinney is an American hero. Part of the reward for our success will be to honor the people like her who risked everything.

oh jesus, should i even

oh jesus, should i even respond to this? whos on first indeed........

McKinney has been a great

representative. She has been asking the obvious, simple questions about 9/11 that her cowardly colleagues wouldn't touch.

She is a large part of the story of the award-winning film American Blackout ( I love the part with her interrupting and hammering Rumsfeld with embarrassing questions. There's also some of her questioning of 9/11 in it.

You can be sure that this is why the Repub's saw to it that she lost her primary. But thank you for the great parting shot at Bush, Cynthia! And I hope you come back!

Mckinney Rocks

Her, Dennis Kucinich, Senator Leahy, and a few others have at least dared to question Lihop, as trust me...even thats super controversial taboo on Capital Hill.

I LOVE this clip of Mckinney grilling Rummy on 9/11 war games, missing trillions and Dyncorp:

She will be missed. Just too bad so many idiot democrats also joined the Mckinney bashing.

Oh and as for a Tupac/Biggie conspiracy, see the powerful documentary Biggie and Tupac.

Mckinney proves the Democrats and Republicans are two peas of the same pod.

She hasn't done that much?

She hasn't done that much? Are you kidding, if she hadn't done what she did, much of 911, and much of the other crimes against the nation would have been stricken from the official records. Point blank question to anyone doubting Represtentive McKinney's efforts in the service of the American people, watch this clip

and then tell me of any other person in DC who has come as close as her in demanding answers and accountability. She's a patriot through and through. Do you realize who she is standing up against when tries to pull the reigns on the corporate war machine entrenched in at the pentagon? Some consider them the most dangerous men on the planet. Why don't you try and ask some tough questions to these creeps about their illicit dealings and see if you don't piss your pants. No wonder she was harrased on the Hill, and no wonder they poured alot of money into the campaign running against her this last election, let alone the voting problems associated with her district. They wanted her and her questions removed from Congress.

By the way her political career is not over, she'll be back in 2008.

Some of the things...

That have always stood out to me in regards to the Honorable, Heroic, Patriotic Representative Cynthia McKinney's grilling of Rummy & Co. are:

Since she asked her question, several more wargames taking place that day have been revealed. I believe Myers only answered for the original 4 she referenced. Would the existence of all of the wargames taking place on 9/11 be something General Myers would/should have known about? If he was aware, then why didn't he correct the Congresswoman, and say something like, "Actually Representative, there were "this many" wargames taking place that day..." I don't know if that's significant, but I found it to be curious.

Did Rep. McKinney ever get the answer to her questions in writing?

Why didn't General Myers answer her question in regards to who was in charge of the exercises taking place that day?

Cheney was in charge and

Cheney was in charge and when everyone knows that everyone will ask - WHY?

Considering it was the first time a vice President assumed control of such a position it begs the question - WHY?

That's an amazing video clip..

Cheers for supplying that video clip, it's a great one!

I wish she would have run as an independent after loosing the primary like Lieberman did..

Troll alert, troll alert---ALL HANDS TO BATTLE STATIONS!!!

Sorry, but this is SUCH obvious BS. This woman got vilified precisely BECAUSE she did everything in her power to speak out about 911. Anyone saying otherwise either has been asleep for five years or is trying to stir the pot.

When history is written, those who shunned the Honorable Cynthia McKinney when she stood up the the bastards will only be remembered as the weak, the cowardly and the ineffectual.

We should write her in thanks for her parting salvo. Anyone got an email address?

Impeachment. Accoiuntability. A better world.

Farewell Honorable Congresswoman McKinney!!!

We barely knew ye!

OT, but

Outsiders should influence faculty hires

Scrutiny holds colleges accountable before profs receive tenure protection

Daniel Pipes

S hould outsiders try to influence the hiring or tenuring of university faculty?

The question arises because, with the radicalization of the American universities, moderate voices have jumped into academic personnel issues. For example, note some controversies just in Middle East studies in 2006:
# Joseph Massad at Columbia. His promotion to associate professor met with public opposition; the forthcoming decision over his tenure will likely spark even more contention.
# Juan Cole at Yale. The University of Michigan historian was on track to New Haven until columnists John Fund, Joel Mowbray and others brought attention to Cole's writings, prompting key Yale professors to reject his appointment.
# Kevin Barrett at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. When it became known that he believes the Bush administration perpetrated the Sept. 11 attacks, his teaching of "Islam: Religion and Culture" spurred a statewide debate.
# Wadie Said at Wayne State University in Detroit. Led by, critics argue that his appointment to the law school "would dilute academic standards, be detrimental in the classroom and exacerbate problems on campus." Other nonacademics, like the Wayne State Middle East Law Students Association, support Said's appointment.

Pipes is not a credible

Pipes is not a credible person. Do you know that he says Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) never existed, that the arabs made him up later. Crazy man...

Pipes is not credible

I know, that is why I said it was a Zionist hit piece. The Neo-cons are ruthless murderers and criminals who need to be brought to justice. Where is the Department of Justice???
